I was speaking to the lady that runs the deli I have been eating lunch from for the last 6 months. We were talking about the game on saturday and she told me her son and is friends with KT and showed me pictures of them together on holiday and nights out. She told me that KT doesn't want to move and that it's the board forcing him out. Whether this is true or not I don't know but thought it was worth a post to see what everybody's take is on it?

KT has the same FA as I do and I was told at a meeting with him several months ago that KT was open to a move south, but wasn't forcing it.
He told me that he would most probably be off to Arsenal if they met our valuation.
Leicester also obviously interested but KT didn't fancy them.

Pish, he told celtic he wanted to look at his options after the Scottish cup final.
If he wasn’t for it, it would have “slipped” out over the last few months.

My take is that if your story is true then KT can’t be forced to go anywhere. He’s on a long term contract and regardless of arsenal meeting celtics valuation KT can point blank refuse to go, it’s that simple. We’ll find out in the next week for sure where KT will play his football this season.

Don't believe they are trying to force him out for one second. With his popular he is he could kill any move stone dead by coming out and saying I ain't moving. Board would be powerless after that.

Somebody always knows somebody who tells them the inside track. Rarely if ever anything but rubbish. KT wants to leave, he holds all the aces and his silence is a kick in the feckin teeth to us all.

Leaving now to me is shocking. But, if he wants to go and they meet our rubbish valuation he should go. Hopefully they have a megaphone for him to sing along big with the Gunners.

22 and had enough of his living the dream. If anybody else says that we know they’re for the off, Rogers and now KT.

Kev that’s what I was saying to her. If that was the case then KT could speak out and say he wants to stay and it would end the situation right there.

The fact Arsenal have made two bids would suggest they know otherwise.

If arsenal meet our valuation and pay up I wouldn't begrudge him the move. The boy is one of the best players in Scotland and has given us great memories.
I'd love him to stay for two more years and be part of even more history.

Come on Celtic will look after Kieran and no way is he being forced out.

I was never going to post this as no one would have believed it but here goes the woman who sits in front of me at park head is a teacher at st ninians where we send a lot of our youth players and her 2 bhoys who also sit in front of me attend the school they were telling me and the others who sit with us that the gossip from the kids is that kt has been very unhappy that the club has never came out to say he's not for sale the way they did about cal Mac and that's where the rumour if the rift between him and Lennon had come from not sure how true it is if at all kids can sometimes add to the story but that's what the story is.

Some of our supporters and K T need to remember that Celtic played a major role into making him the superstar that he is . It doesn’t wash with me that he doesn’t want to go, if he wasn’t happy to leave he would be Celtic Park every game using his mega-phone pleading to be allowed to stay .
I am really disgusted with him, after all his talk and love of Celtic, ten in a row etc. I was gullible enough to believe, he was different, he could survive earning in excess of 1 million a yr . eating his mother’s rood, his mother making his bed and doing his washing . If he goes to London, the lady in his life will have other interests other than lifting his socks and washing his drawers .
K T, if he is the super fan he claims, can’t walk away, no point in him coming back in ten yrs, as far as I am concerned, well I won’t be here.

Jaw1888, it’s this simple. Your story could be 100% true, who knows but the bottom line here is Celtic clearly will accept a certain fee for KT, now for arguments sake that fee is matched and Celtic accept, KT will be well within his rights to refuse the move. Celtic could’ve came out and said “ no he’s not for sale” but every player has their price at Celtic including cal Mac, the difference with cal Mac and KT is there is definite interest and bids made on KT. does anyone believe if an English club for example Leicester bid £20 million plus for cal Mac that Celtic wouldn’t accept the bid? Celtic will accept bids they believe are acceptable but they cannot force a KT or a cal Mac to accept the move. If KT in his heart of hearts wanted to stay no matter what you’d think he’d have told lawwell and Lennon under no uncertain terms he’s going nowhere.

Our board have previous for “forcing” players out, Samaras, Ledley and more recently Lustig, they don’t reward loyalty, so it is a very strong possibility that it’s the board who are pushing the transfer not KT .

Keeping Samaras and Lustiq wouldn't have been rewarding loyalty, it would have been an example of stupidity, in keeping players who had loyally picked up big wages, but were no longer worth those wages.

Thank God Lawwell is all business . There are no medals handed out at the end of the season for the clubs who showed most sentimentality.
