Don't know wither to laugh or cry, it seems that the all the tabloids and web sites have all these players linked to Celtic and high on Lennon's transfer list. If that's the case, why are we not going out of our way to make sure we get them.

Uve answered your own question really! The tabloids are full of rubbish and shouldn’t be listened to when it comes to our transfer business! Surely u must know by now they’ll make up anything if it means we look bad! Stop reading the tabloids!

Just because the papers are saying it doesn't mean it's true. It takes time to get the right players in.

Ditch all this interest in players based in England. They want money well in excess of ability due to the vast amounts of money. It’s a waste of time. We need to be looking at markets where £4-5m gets you a player. England is not the answer. Unless the answer we want us paying an inflated price and wages for a player who isn’t that good. It also diverts us and takes too long to finally be outbid by rubbish teams. We still don’t have the players we need and important games are played with glaring weaknesses in our defence.

The penny needs to drop that England is a waste of time and money.

We are looking to get quality in. Teams don't generally want to sell there best players so we just have to wait. I for one would rather stick with what we have than have an over inflated squad of average players.

I've been thinking the same thing magicpole, we should be looking in the Dutch, polish, Ukraine, type markets much better value to be had than down south. I honestly don't know why we keep looking in that market. are these Lennon's recommendations or are we still going for players scouted by Congerton?

Probably scouting budget is pish so it's easier to keep an eye on players down south, but your right we should be targeting eastern European leagues, even south America, get them in and give them a sell on clause as we know if they become any good the club's from EPL will come sniffing.

100% agree to avoid the English market for the most part. Surprised we aren't looking further east still. Surely a player or two in Japan or South Korea etc.
A whole world of hidden gems but were too busy looking down the road .

Again where is this nonsense we are only scouting England coming from.
We have made 3 signings so far and only 1 has came from england.
Our last permanent signing from england before that was ntcham and he had spent the 2 seasons before that in Italy.

We should be targeting eastern Europe?

You mean like Ukraine where we got Shevd?
What about east central Europe like Austria where we got Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo?
Or Slovakia where we got Bayo?

Ye seems like pish scouting budget that only looks at England.

Tend to agree, stick to Europe and forget down south.
Wouldn't sign anyone likely to disappear during the season to play in African nations cup etc.
Since being linked with Castagne, everyone seems inferior now, but there will be a gem out there.

I'd say in terms of percentages. The players we have got from England have been very good. Struggling to think of a failure from England in the last 10 years. I'm sure there is 1 or 2 but when we go abroad there is much more risk of it not working out.
