That’s the issue with going for championship players or EPL players, the money on offer is ridiculous! There’s absolutely no shame at all in losing out on players down there when it comes to wages! And that’s the bottom line, it’s the wages that kill us! We’ve shown we’ll pay money but the average wage down there for bang average players is frightening! I see what lennons doing going British and in the hunt for a RB but maybe we should be concentrating on the Dutch Belgian or Scandinavian leagues for these players! Better value for money and the wages aren’t astronomical!

But got to say lads if we had been able to sign everyone we had bid for the board would have paid out
