reading 5-6 mill for sawers and smith, rather spend 5-6 (or more) on one quality rb don't think midfield needs more unless ntcham or other mids go . quality not quantity (on the cheap)

Disagree, we have been outplayed in middle of park twice vs sevvco and struggled at hearts etc, need more spine in centre of park at times to take pressure of brown I feel.

I think both will be very good signings no matter what they cost.
Both have captained their teams so we are bringing in a couple of leaders
Smith is very experienced and is reaching his peak years and by all account Sawyer is a baller when on form.

Our last RB was a class act and he cost us nothing in transfer fees.

I would say we need a fresh injection in the middle of the park, broony will play a massive part this season no doubt but I would be surprised if he played 50 odd games next season! Ntcham cannot be trust anymore and would get rid asap! So a new midfielder is a must! But not as much as a bloody RB! How bloody long are we going to wait to get that sorted!

And Toljan would have cost us 6m!

Definitely need a box to box CM in my opinion, don't know much about Sawyer but Smith will definitely do for me like 🍀💚 HH.

Anyone heard the rumour of Ross McCormack coming in as our 4th choice striker.

I think we need to add a bit of steel to the midfield. There’s no doubt we have a talented bunch of midfielders but we could do with someone who can get stuck in about it. We lost against that lot because of their energy in midfield, not because they had better players.

Broony is the problem in midfield, instead of playing a massive part, he should be a bit part player in the coming seadon.

Tamtam. I herd he played as a trial list for us the other day mate. Would you be happy with him.

Got to agree with aindoh Scott brown sets the tone for our play and he isn't capable of driving us forward anymore consistently. He isn't comfortable playing at pace and is only noticed as he is being targeted for being weak link and hence getting involved in tit for tat confrontations. He been a great servant but we need a new player in his position as being blindly loyal could be our downfall.

Agree with Jim1972. Broony needs to step aside for a new driving force in midfield.
He will be okay against bottom 6 but not top 6 and definitely not in Europe.

United Ireland where did you hear that nonsense?
The 3 trialist were
Liam Burt (Former Ibrox Trainee)
Scott Robertson ( Celtic academy player out of contract)
Tom Leighton (Previously of Watford)

I said the same for the whole of last season that broony needed to take a step back as our play in the middle of the park when he was on was slow and lethargic, we played our best football last season when broony was out the team injured and I feel the same about this season, if we want to see the best of our midfield he like Rogic needs to start on the bench.

Bittons time is up too, rogic needs to get finger out too, if not producing get rid of, end of rogic never did nuhun since last year.

Have to agree with the majority here, brown looks like he's slowly starting to struggle with the pace of the game he's becoming a weak point in high pressure games.

I would still have him in certain matches where we need experience against good European teams if we make the group stages as we would probably have less possession but they outplayed us in midfield both matches at ibrox last season and at times in the last game at parkhead.
The likes of bitton isn't going to cut it anymore and I doubt kouassi and ntcham will get anywhere near the team now so we'll probably need to sell and get a top drawer defensive mid who will break up attacks and let the likes of mcgregor and christie dictate the play, brown just seems to be the weak link in the team now.
