Got told this from my Celtic Pools pal who is a nosey git and gets lots of gossip, some good most rubbish, make of this what you will.
Rumour is Lawwell is baulking at shelling out up to £20m this summer to replace players leaving especially in defence. Pedro is hoping Shved is as good as people are saying he is and hopes the Man City kid Arizani also is fully fit, add in Johnston, Morgan and Sinclair and that makes 5 wide players.
Him and the Board are hoping to cash in on Forrest while his stock is so high, and are willing to sell if bids of £20/ £25m received.
Just another rumour, but you can already see Pedro's brain whirring away lol.

£20-25m for Forrest get real. So Dembele who is younger, French, scored a few Champions league goals, old firm hat trick and plenty more goes for £19.8m but the board will accept £20-25m for Forrest.
Need to start getting serious about players value, when has Forrest been a stand out in various Champions league games against Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern never he’s had 1 good game at International level and s few decent performances in Europa but only in group stage.
If we got £10m we would be doing well, fact is we would never sell him like Tierney he’s the type of player we couldn’t replace and no club would realistically pay more than £15m for either. I can’t remember ANY Scottish player being sold from Celtic or even that mob for more than £5m ever tbh and the Cash Rich BPL clubs simply don’t rate our Scottish players.

Fair play a couple in past decade and none north of £10m let alone £25m. The 2 who did go Armstrong and Hutton both struggled to make a good impact down south if anything would put clubs off paying big fee for Scottish talent. Burke the other big money signing is also bang average.
I’d say Forrest is worth £10m and Tierney £12m due to his injury record in past few seasons.
That’s why I wouldn’t sell either of them I’d rather part with Ntcham who is too inconsistent and we might be able to get £7m for.
