Celtic were on Wednesday night closing in on a deal for Manchester United teenager Saidy Janko.

The Switzerland Under 19 international is poised to become Ronny Deila's second capture of the transfer window following the arrival of Manchester City defender Derdryck Boyata.

Primarily a right back Janko can also play a right-sided attacking role.

I hope this is not true
A To short with Issy on the left we need a tall right back
B What is wrong with Fisher been given a good run
C If Mathews was a player we were considering moving on then why were we not chasing Simon O'Donnell from Thistle who was tall athletic now has good experience and knows Celtic, I know he did not make it the first time but he is 3 years older now.
Anyone who saw him last year could see he was one of the best right backs in the country

Pleasantly shocked that this is a permanent deal. Remember him being branded the next Alaba bla bla when Utd signed him. Caught him a few times in the Barclays U21 Premier and a couple other games and the boy does look a talent and a half. He's a machine. When it comes to picking up young players this is a very shrewd signing. Just surprised it's a permanent deal. Ed why are Utd so keen to sell? Is it LVG's system doesn't have a future spot for him?

{Ed007's Note - Utd aren't keen to sell they wanted him to sign a new deal.}

Ed is this janko guy any better than what we currently have.or is this one for the future.

{Ed007's Note - I've not seen enough of him but he's highly rated with Utd supporters.}

@Jonace, Maybe Izzy is getting replaced with someone taller. Also, Ronny wouldn't take a player on if he didn't think he had something to offer. Maybe he just rates him more highly than Fisher.

Aw Come on Ed a man of your intellect can't remember? Are you being selective here as we aw know Ayrshire is zombie infested lol

And with your's (and mine) favourite sport being muff diving too

Neither of us can blame it on the drink so it is much easier mate to be as a said selective (y)

But we ran a bus from Paisley to Bobby Jones nightclub doon there in the early 90s some memories

{Ed007's Note - I remember Bobby Jones and Club De Mer or De Mar, and wasn't there someplace called The Metro or something like that as well? There used to be a bus that ran to FUBAR in Stirling on a Saturday as well, that was a good night out up there.
I remember going through to Ayr to play golf at the Irvine Golf Club a couple of times and not having a clue where I was in the daylight and with a straight head.}

All my yesterday's mate lol Club de Mar as well yeah there were a pub round about there to that had mirror walls a walked right into it first time thinking the pub was bigger than it was lol and with me being a right poser it went down like the Titanic!

Never been to a night out that far up (Stirling) although Hamilton Palace nearer your neck of the woods brings back good memories too as well as Hamilton racecourse believe it or not! Ended up with a tart out there that had spent time in Oz and had a chunk out her thigh as she had been bitten by a SHARK ffs!

As a said Ed all our yesterday's mate :-)

{Ed007's Note - I've got oot ma face up and down the UK lol Hamilton Palace was just a cattle market and probably still is. I can remember Park Lane and The Rococco although I must have been only 15 or 16 when I was going into them.}

Never went to Hanger 13 but used to love the Metro and Rez. Was also some good clubs in Glasgow like Tin Pan Alley, Heaven, Hacienda and Peggy Sues.
