The dutch lad Derk, is to undergo a 2nd medical tomorrow. Now this could be to take a closer look at his back, which being thorough is a good thing, or. There could be an issue that's causing concern.

No he isn't he's going to get treatment for his foot which he injured during last game so he is match fit for the squad on Wednesday night. its a done deal he is staying in the Hilton tonight with his reps.

Seen he had three spells out over the course of two seasons due to back injury, hopefully just being thorough and no major issues way the guy, would still be hoping for an actual Striker to be brought in. Pk1888

The more pertinent point is that as usual everything is done at the last minute. The minute Wanyama left we should have had someone lined up - we all rave about the scouting system, the same goes for Hooper, would it even have been too normal to have brought someone in before he left(he was wanting to go for about a year) Neil has also been talking about a left sided player(who looks like being Derk) for about a year also. On top of this Wilson, who in my opinion is the only proven good centre half we've got(we have been weak in this position for years) might be leaving. He has also been talking about cover for Emilio for I don't know how long. I said recently that if we don't sign top quality now-with the recent player sales/champions league run then what does the future hold? ONCE AGAIN we have a chance to push ourselves into a position where we will never be caught-that mob from Govan will be back in 2 years, their squad is already better than the rest, so please Celtic sort it out! This 40 million is not banked its money over the period of outgoing players contracts plus the CL money. It's also our future. Worse case scenario what if we don't get to CL group stages and if we do and don't get to last 16 we get less money. And if you look at the current squad there is no players that are close to the cash we generated from Wanyama in the squad barely another double out money player apart from Ledley possibly foster. So 40 mil will disappear fast if we aren't prudent
