So celtic have been given the 5pm deadline for hooper today. Will be gutted when he goes. don't think a lot of people realise what a contribution the boy has put in for us. Would have absolutley loved him to sign a new deal and go in a year but these things happen.

Bite the bullet, all the very best to him and good luck on the new clubs offer and what they have to offer you.

How he's going to manage with just stokes and blade for the cliftonville game defies me. can see him going one up top against them, joke!

this hooper carry on should have been put to bed weeks ago, and had a decent replacement in for this important qualifier. blade looks not wuite upto it and stokes is no hooper although a good player nonetheless.

His over-all contribution was massive, but when his head was turned in the January window it did affect him for several weeks and it was clear when a new contract was never signed, he would be off at the first opportunity.
I only hope we can attract another 30 goal a season man right away.
NL has done his best to build a hungry and successful young team, but within a week we now have lost 2 key players at the start of the latest window just before a new season.
He must be as frustrated as we are.

This hooper carry on should have been sorted out weeks ago, a decent replacement should have be in already before preseason started. I think we will be ok with stokes for now if he puts his head down and plays football. Gazdcelt

Haha ok with stokes, u kidding? The guy is spl class at best, and at that its only when he's not in a huff! We need a new striker now, get hooper gone had enough of his BS should have shown him the door in january and took the chance of winning more medals away from him. We are celtic football club and will not be held to ransom by some guy that will go and be forgotten about, he's no Henrik Larsson who will always be classed as a legend not just for his goals, but for the commitment he showed to a team that gave him a chance when things weren't going well in holland! Goodbye Gary Hooper u will be forgotten about come Xmas!

I think most people DO appreciate his efforts for us. I have always thought he was magnificent for Celtic and I think we all think that way about him. What's souring the relationship is the way he seems to be playing things to get away. It might not all be his fault though, the club are perhaps contributing to matters. I don't suppose we'll ever really know.
Like most fans I'd love him to stay, but only if he were to be the player we knew before last January. He seems to have gone off the boil since then and in that case he is no good to us. We need committed players and he doesn't fall into that category any more. I wish him well but when the story is hanging over the club I just want it over.
It's like having a girlfriend who tells you she's thinking of dumping you if a new man comes along. You might wish she'd change her mind but it gets to the point where the pain is too much and you need to know one way or the other.

82 goals in a 136 games. not Larsson class but a bloody good striker none the less. Who have we seen as close to Larsson class since he left Celtic? If we got one more season from him and he got to a 100 career goals for me he will got down as a Celtic legend. Not in the Larsson class as I've said but he would deserve his recognition none the less. Would love to see him commit but who knows what goes on behind the scenes.
