I read today that Neil Lennon might follow up his January interest in Kevin Doyle of Wolves please please let this not be true at (29) I really don't think he's what we should be looking at! He's past his best and even at his best I don't think he was good enough! In fact I really think we should stay away from the English Market people like Jordan Rhodes, Charlie Austin they are over priced for what you get and the wages they would command are ridicules for the quality you are getting.
if you look back on our best strikers from the past like Jorge Cadete, Van Hooijdonk and of course the mighty King of Kings Larsson all bargain buys from foreign leagues who built a reputation at Celtic This has to be the road we go down, Hooper has been a huge success but I don't think the likes of Burnley will let Austin go cheap knowing what hooper is now worth!
thoughts?

Not so keen on Doyle myself but I trust Lennon all the same. I think Rhodes or Austin would be a good replacement for Hooper? although I don't want Hooper to go but his mind has been made up long ago. other additions I would like is Mackay Stevens. been a great player and would improve even more with the celts.

Totally agree about looking abroad as we will get a better player for less. Doyle has been rotten for years and will be a step backwards, not to mention a kick in the teeth for young Watt.

Your missing the point, he's plan B. The only worry I have is so was Murphy, and Lenny got him in. We need a big strong striker to hold things up while our midfield reach him, like Sutton. green jhedi

looks like a total smokescreen to me - or to tell another club that we have options, while looking at one of their players. Doyle doesn't fit the current profile due to his age. Suspect the Club has another target lined up. Jean-Pierre Laguerre
