Why is our board silent? They know BR is being questioned by the media relentlessly. Why don't they come out and make a statement to the fans and let us know what's happening. I know there is about 3 weeks of the window but we need players in for the qualifiers and that deadline has less than a week. The way things are going I don't see us making a significant signing before then. let's hope the board know what they are doing.

The Board are aloof and very detached from the support - unless it involves threats and sanctions regarding banners, flags and pyros.
BR has been here before and must have known what he was getting into; although I at least thought there would be a clear strategy in place regarding his tenure and ambition.
Money was made available last season, so why the hesitancy and delay in replacing players who have gone or adding the quality needed to defend our title and at least equal our CL achievement last season? The only people who can answer choose to stay silent, treating the support and even their successful manager with contempt.

Im no happy with transfer window either . But don't we think its same every year with us arguing with board . Look at the success we've had got to give them credit for that . Trust the process plenty of time left to sort signings out have faith.

If there are prolonged negotiations ongoing over potential signings (as BR himself has told us) , then I don’t think it would be wise of the Board to speaking out just now…. They should however have been more transparent at the end of last season about their intentions for this season and how they would support the manager to progress the team.

I think its abundantly clear, the targets we have had we can't afford, based on what our board value that particular player, now we've probably ran out of targets, and they will be at the panic stations trying to identify players that we likely will pay more for than the original targets we could've had.

However we can't get bogged down by what player comes in at what price, replacing our main starters would generally cost more than their value, which we can't afford, therefore we will be in the market for cheaper players, that's the market we use, and that's the market that's worked.

Shin Yamada hasn't had a chance yet so we can't claim we haven't got a striker, Maeda is capable of being our main striker, Idah needs to get confident there's a player there.

So we need couple wingers at fair price, and a CDM, that would be us sorted till January, this team picked up points against the following and their transfer activity this season is:-
Young Boys sales €10.7m arrivals €4.85m, +€5.85m profit
Dinamo Zagreb sales €35.15m arrivals €16.8m, +€18.35m profit

Club Brugge sales €81.7m arrivals €27.5m, +€54.2m profit

RB Leipzig sales €83.7m arrivals €92m, -€8.3m loss

Atalanta sales €104.05m arrivals €79.8m, +€24.25m profit

Slovan Bratislava sales €180k arrivals €800k, -€620k loss

Our situation sales €21.82m arrivals €3.53m, +€18.29m profit.

All clubs really are trying to make a profit but compete in the CL, RBL also have probably €80m coming in for sale of Sesko, we have to accept unless we sell plenty we won't buy plenty.

I was really hoping that when ED mentioned that DD's son was taking a more active role from his dad that we would see a more modern, mouthful approach from the board but No.
It still looks like Ebenezer and his spooky mates have still got a very tight hold of his purse strings.
