I see we've allegedly lost out on another of our targets this time to FC Basel who paid the £2m asking price that we baulked at. There's a chance we could get Basel in our CL qualifier, who now also have a certain Albian Ajeti in their ranks, we all know what's likely to happen now if we get them.

Personally, I can't see how any story 'linking' us to this player was even close to being genuine.

Good luck to the lad, whoever he is, and if we meet his new team - we'll pump them.

As for Ajeti, if he's finally given up the pies and shed a few stone, he might make the bench. ?

We have probably scouted the boy at some point, as have numerous other clubs but I don't think for one second we was actively trying to sign the boy. There's umpteen players we scout and papers will credit us as a team trying to sign them but that's all it ever accumulated too. A scouting mission.
