ED007 as to the McNally resignation from Norwich, did not realise he had worked at Celtic years ago as a Development Officer. Rumours I am hearing is that club want to keep Lawwell's influence with the SFA and UEFA so are thinking of moving him upstairs, with McNally taking over Pedro's job. Other rumour is that an announcement is imminent, maybe as early as next week over new managerial team. Gossip, and so far that is all it is, is that O'Neill (Martin) and Keane could be on their way back to Paradise.

JC to walk away with RD at the end of the season, that makes my day .

Could it be we have spoke to a potential manager and he has said he wants full control of everything

I'm sure the board would of tried forcing JC on to the next man so maybe getting somewhere at last.

I read an article analysing JC words that a "New manager will come in and bring in his own staff" take that as you may but here's hoping. Also mentioned McNallys resignation as Chief Executive of Norwich hopefully PL might be moved on to the board too.

Can't see Brendon Rodgers at Celtic? Pedro is highest paid employee so Rodgers would be working for under £1mill a year? Won't happen!

With big changes around the club this summer I'm not sure if Peter lawell will remain

Maybe the way the two years under ronny has went it's caused some people in the boardroom to waken up and call for a change of direction

One things for certain after the new manager is in, ed you'll be very busy. Players coming from here and there I'm sure (good luck)

Linked with Matty Taylor and Bradley Dack today, again without a new manager. The reports don't mention that we're scouting them but that we're "ready to swoop". I'd take Taylor definitely but not Dack as we already have tonnes of midfielders.

I would rather him than a project that has a terrible scoring ratio. A prolific striker will bag goals in any league if he's provided with the chances to do so. Turned out alright for players like Hooper who was at Grays, Vardy with Fleetwood and Austin at Swindon.

100% bravetart86, if we got Taylor it would be a real coup because most teams in England are looking for the next Jamie Vardy and he seems to be the latest one who's hitting some excellent goalscoring form.

Haven't seen him play but certainly has rattle a few people's cages. Any mention of a price at all?

Probably a couple of million but tbh I'd be surprised if it wasn't just a name out of a hat to fill column inches. The thing is that he's small and quick like Griff so he wouldn't really compliment him but would take the reigns if Griff had an off day. It might be worth a punt bringing Ciftci back to have that different option and see if the new boss can make him screw the nut.

I think that's the main thing for me kevbhoy, our next striker in the door shouldn't be somebody too similar to LG. U'd luke to see somebody in the mould of CKR and NC, just better. That bit of physical presence and the ability to play out wide a bit. It would be ideal if we weren't getting somebody to compete with LG, but to replace him. Providing the new head coach or manager play 'one up front' that is. I think you should always look to improve the team not just add to competition. If we had somebody who was keeping LG to appearing from the bench, we'd be in a better place, simple as that.

So the talk down here in welsh Wales is Rodgers has signed on the dotted line at Swansea. As far as i'm led to believe the deal was in place before Ronny handed his notice in and the money he is ment to be on is roughly 5 million a year, we cannot compete with that. Swansea a team that not long ago played in the 3rd devision in England.

Looking past the fact the guy comes across like a bit of a bell, I quite rate Rodgers and would have been relatively happy to see him given the chance. There are people more educated about him on here than me though, Ed001 in particular, that have brought to light some weaknesses and criticised him though so I did take that on board. I guess the wage packet and percieved credibility of working in the BPL scuppers us again as you say, if is is true.

I think Rodgers and Moyes are holding out for jobs in England with big pay cheques attached, nothing to do with football, forget them both.
I posted a few days ago I would like Di Matteo, with Clark as coach. Someone else I would be happy with is Alex Neil and up and coming manager.

I'd be happy with that too Timalloy that will definitely improve us. I read somewhere we're offering Keane £15m transfer kitty if he is to sign?

I know what ED heard but I really don't think there was any chance of Rodgers coming to us, and the same goes with moyes! Would have been happy for Rodgers to come, think he would have gave us a massive lift! Think our next manager will come from the usual list that we see Lennon Mckay Clarke and the rest! Just wondering now the titles officially wrapped up how soon it will take to get announced! Any thoughts ED?

{Ed007's Note - I'm hoping something will be announced before the weekend and the new man will be introduced to the crowd at the Motherwell match.}

09 May 2016 12:58:20
I wouldn't imagine that would happen that would indicate a quick cheep appointment and using the feel good factor to mask such an appointment but you never know in football.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's not a quick appointment if the guy is not currently in a job and considering the CL qualifiers start on 12/13 July, that's only 7 weeks away come this weekend, we need to get the new man in as soon as possible after RD leaves which is this weekend.
If the board aren't even close to making a decision by now then they're letting the fans down again.
Season ticket renewal deadline is the 27th of this month and the board need to move pretty quickly if they hope to encourage people to renew.}

Just rumours from tw@tter I saw yesterday from a couple of people. They said a new man to be announced on Friday. Hopefully is true tho I won't hold my breath.

Without nailing your colours to the mast Ed, do you have any idea or thoughts who it may be

Hail Hail.

{Ed007's Note - I'm still thinking it'll Brendan Rodgers.}

09 May 2016 23:19:42
He's a curious one that Rodgers. His Swansea team played great and attractive football, he had a seriously good period with Mourinho at Chelsea and his early time at Liverpool was great. Then it all went a wee bit Pete Tong for him at Anfield and people quickly forgot about the good stuff he had achieved and could only remember the problems with Liverpool.
Jeez, I just wish they'd appoint someone asap and not leave it to the last minute and then blame that for an early Euro exit :- (

Hail Hail.

I think that it could be Moyes his body language and smiling away when asked about the Celtic job on tv seems to me that either he has been asked about the job and is just waiting for it to be either sealed or for it to be announced by the club so I think Moyes.
