BR looked calm and collected in Dubai and seemed very confident there would be other signings. I know centre half and right back positions could be problematic particularly come the summer but I'd prefer to see us signing a proven experienced centre forward in this window to compliment the project youth lads we've brought in who I think will be exciting to watch.

Jfp1888 we now have 3 strikers 4 if We count the griff. We play one up front. Where does another striker fit In?

Will depend on formation of course, however we now have option of including ones that play two strikers.

Personally so would have preferred 1 established striker in this window but now we have went down the exciting prospect route there’s no room for any more.
I’d rather we signed proven CB between 23-30 would be ideal age but more important of course is ability level. Would be great if we could get Benkovic on a permanent deal.
A back up LB and a 1st team RB are also needing addressed. I think we will sign all 3 especially if we can send 4 or 5 fringe players back out in loan to free up some wages.

I’d be very surprised if another striker comes in now. Like most I’m concerned with the defence, up until now unless things change, boyata will be off in the summer, benkovic will go back to Leicester, for me we’re desperate for a right solid, hopefully experienced Centre half if not two, cover at LB as Izzy clearly isn’t fancied after the Ibrox carry on and definitely a RB. Gamboa will likely go, hendry I’m not convinced by, jozo, I don’t think brendan fancies him when they’re all fit and lustigs best days are behind him. Defence for me has to be priority now after the 3 signings we’ve just made.

Heard a wee rumour today that this is Griffiths last season with Celtic don't know how true but the guys usually spot on.

As much as I love what the guy has done for us he's too good to be 2nd, 3rd choice striker for us. a lot is down to perhaps his fitness and application in training but for the good of his career he should move and play regularly. Perhaps sell him with a buy back clause in the contract.

It’s a difficult 1 for the sake of the club we either need him being available or selling him. I know it’s harsh and mental health issues are no fault of his own and should be supported I just worry going into rest of season with inconsistent Eddie and it’s a lot of pressure for new young players to be out under if Edouard was to pick up an injury.
Might actually be worth getting another 1 in on short loan till end of season.

If you read BRs latest interview he is clearly pi$$ed off at Griffs conduct since he's been given leave. Could this be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Lads no more forwards players let’s get this defence sorted!

No chance I'd let him go, he's clearly been struggling with his personal issues, if we stand by him and give him the support he needs, which we clearly are, he will bounce back and repay us with goals. Whatever is going on has hindered him and he's still held his own on the park, imagine what he'll do in this team when he's firing on all cylinders.

I have family member who played in the first team.

A big, commanding centre back will be announced on Monday or Tuesday. Boyata gone before he end of the window to a lower premiership club. £3.5 million for Boyata.

According to my source it is good business.

Sorry, but I can say no more or the source will dry up.

Anyone heard of the player at Portsmouth and also Connor Roberts at Swansea. Or is that hit seeking sites at their best.

I hope your right mate, genuinely can’t see why anyone would pay £3.5m for Boyata though when they can get him for free in 6 months.
If a deal is to be done with him it will be on a pre contract 1st then for nominal fee around £1m I’d imagine.

@GGGG perhaps a team might want him now? There's a thought. Also, remember Stuart Armstrong.

That's is a nominal fee for someone who is a regular in one of the best national teams in the world.

Was interesting listening to Weahs interview on Celtic tv he was asked what the BR said to him in terms of Were he sees Weahs potion Weah said he was told he would play in the 9 position running into channels creating space etc could that mean Edouard out left?

Why are a lot of people automatically assuming that both are going to play.
Rogers has spoken a few time about how it's been unfair on edouard that he's had to play so much with rest this season.
I am sure at times both will play but think a lot of time it will be one or other.

With Griff missing, I reckon he will rotate them - even during games as I'm sure Bayo, Weah and Eddy all have a part to play, while we also has Forrest, Sinclair, Christie, Burke and Johnston Woop Woop!

Now that our front line is sorted we really need to get our back line fixed. Think Edouard was playing some of his best football when he was cutting in from the left, could be a natural replacement or competitor with Sinclair.

Will there be a game time clause in either of the loan deals? More notably Weah - Can't see him coming for 6 months for bench time. Feel Burke will be good to give Forrest a break every few games or a good second half sub. Good seeing Celtic get deals done early.

No that would mean doing what a foward does for team mates.
