Unlike our 2 cbs Duffy is a very good defender any time I've seen him he has been good and yet to see a mistake that led to a goal. and he's tough as teak.

anybody who watches football should know who shane duffy is. he certainly won't get beat much in the air and definitely won't be bullied. if anybody would expect him to be great on the ball then that's not his game but going on yesterday let's get a CB in who can defend.

He is valued at £8-9m which is our biggest fee in our history, we refused to pay it for Forster and only done it for French Eddy knowing we would be selling Dembele in future to recoup that outlay and some.
I don’t anticipate club spending north of £5m for a CB unless he’s 1st choice and Ajer is being moved on. I know we spent a few quid on Jullien right enough but that was before C.V. affected everyone’s finances.

Totally dire
We are playing like we did in the first half of last season, I have no clue why Lennon has reverted back to the 4-2-3-1, don't give me that we have only 2 fit strikers as we need to play to our strengths.
Also again why have we not utilized our squad? everyone was saying that being able to use 5 subs would help us as we have the biggest and best squad but Lennon only brings on 3 when everyone could see that the whole team were off there game today.

Agree with jonbhoy on this one, I'm not a manager or tactician by any means but I'm baffled why the 3-5-2 wasn't carried on from the turn of the year into this season with us going for 10 and the potential to be history makers, I'm sorry but 1 striker up top for a celtic side in the league is wrong.
Certain games need to be adjusted we can't always go with the same formation every week, we become far too predictable and rangers dominated us twice last season before the break.
The sensible thing to do yesterday was to play bitton or elhamed at the back as a 3, pack the midfield with a flat 5 since the pitch is terrible and play elyounoussi or klimala up top with edouard, if he keeps playing the same way week in week out during these qualifiers we have no chance of teaching the champions league again.

The possible teams we could draw in the second qualifying round: (this is providing each favourite from the first qualifying round makes it through) we are seeded in the champions section so we will be paired with champions of another country who are unseeded and have a lower coefficient.
