heard a wee story tonight that the mighty champions of scotland, the mighty hoops, the team that made me so proud with their excursions in the champions league are supposed to interested in and keepin tabs on Carlos Bacca from club brugge.
heard the supposed fee was £5m with add-ons

Believable2 Unbelievable10

If we're going for anyone in the Jupiler League it should be Jelle Vossen

The boy looks good on the internet, he makes hooper and stokes look as mobile as the comic book guy,,, deep river bhoy

Celtic are MIGHTIER THAN MIGHTY mate.

How's about a strike partnership next year of Austin and Russell? Stokes a 1 year extension and add watt.
Hooper is out, Wanyama too.

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Don't forget rhodes. would rather have him than austin but russel is fine with me.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hope so much that we'll somehow be able to keep wanyama. if it's because he'd earn more money down south then use a part of the money we earned. if it's because the other teams are more attractive than celtic then we can't do much even though he probalby is happy here at celtic. but he's one of the players we should really focus on keeping - to me one of the most important players and imagine how he'll be like in 2 years!

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys remember Vic is on a LONG term contract so unless the deal is right he stays end of. As for Stokes, he'll be gone in the summer, no question.

Ed I read that spurs were looking at Forrest as a replacement if bale is sold, I know they had interest before when harry rednap was there 1 or 2 years ago (?). Have you heard anything or do you know if they are interested ( enough to make a bid)?
And second seeing how he is an academy player which we developed doesn't that mean we may get more for him or that we can ask for a bit more? Saw it mention in the article 8mill and was wondering if we could get more? I think 10mill after next year might be the price in me eyes. {Ed007's Note - As far as I know there is no basis in the story about any Spurs interest at the moment. The fact he came through the academy will have no bearing on the fee as happens when youngsters leave for nothing except training compensation.}

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Forrest as a replacement for Bale, now that is fantasy :-) Gareth Bale is on a different planet, nay in a different solar system than our James!

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrest, 8 million, 10 million. C'mon be serious nobody in their right mind is going to pay over 5 million for him, any other figure thrown about will be just paper talk.

stokes to me is best forward we have, better an hopper, look at his game time to hopper and the goals he gets.

Believable14 Unbelievable12

Aaah grasshopper? AbS

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes complains to much and wastes the ball a lot and is way too selfish, he has a lot to work on to be better then hooper or to even get a contract. He dose have the skill if only he would change his game a wee bit

Agree0 Disagree0

He is better then hooper at the moment. Hooper wants to leave and he is showing that with his form. The worst he's played since he arrived at Celtic

Agree1 Disagree0

I think hooper will score more goals but stokes' play is more expansive. i'd rather we sold hooper for a decent amount and found a young replacement and then gave stokes the whole of next season to prove himself. Hooper for me will not get any better than he is right now.

Stokes is not in Hoopers class. Period.

Joeshmo1888 {Ed007's Note - Try lying on the couch with a hot water bottle on your stomach, that usually helps with any cramps.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper is going backwards Get to the end of the season and take 6 - 8 mill for him. Stokes drives me nuts! Poor first touch, misses too many chances and is very greedy. Not the answer or anywhere close!

I'd get rid of both of them in the summer but I'm not sure either will want to leave by then. Hoopers performances are going to mean his epl opportunities may be limited, he may weigh up his options and try to get more money to stay. I'd take the 4-5 million we will be offered. As for stokes, poor decision making, bad attitude, get rid.

Agree2 Disagree0

Im not impressed with any of our forwards right now, the quicker hooper goes the better, stokes is frustrating as hell, miku, lassad send back to spain, watt is only young, I feel we need a big shake up front and a decent couple of wingers are needed

Agree2 Disagree1

Sammi but needs similar quality in the final third if our policy is to find gems and turn them into good players and then move them on for a profit this is the level we'll stay at sammi was given time to become in my opinion a great player and we must hold on to players longer to iron out the niggles in their game that's the only way we'll become a better side if were not in the market for finished articles a bit of patients from the support and the board is needed for us to make the next step that said a few older heads with a bit of expierence wouldn't go a miss

Absolute nonsense, woeful performances against motherwell and st mirren when he is supposed to be fighting for a new contract. There is a reason he doesn't play in big games, he is not good enough

Belter ED haha I think stokes is quality on his day, he's a bit like sammy. when he wants to play he's top quality, right now hoopers not good enough to merit a place in the team, let's be honest a hungry hooper would of got on the end of sammys cross the other night. I've thought since the window shut in august/september he hasn't looked interested, his form improved round about end november beginning of december, window opens january, form continues, no move away window shuts, form dips and now he has 1 goal in 8/9 games. Personally I'll be glad to see the back of him, thanks for all the goals gary but we will move on and replace you in the summer. just wish I could say the same about big vic, that big fella if he goes I will miss and I think we will find hard to replace, would like him to stay 1 more year then move on but doubt that's ever going to happen, he will have a pick of teams down south and abroad.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hooper has shot his bolt and has been a shadow of last season and is coasting.
Stokes gives more options but a lot breaks down at him and is too inconsistant.
Replace both with a more pace and more height in my opinion.

Agree2 Disagree0

Take away Hoopers 5 goals in final game against Hearts and I wasn't happy with his goals ratio last season. Was great in the moscow games this season but either not consistent enough or else not interested.

We could have developed him into a player but wouldn't bust a gut to keep him if he thinks he can do better
