Anyone heard about us considering a move for Kenwyne Jones? Heard today we're looking to bring him in on loan.

No chance!!! Newcastle, and aye ok wolves Bolton and west ham are sniffing about but he's a 5-8mil player! A loan deal won't happen because stoke would rather have the money considering the amount of teams hovering!

we have got no chance in signing baba diawara! lets be honest we have got the funds available but i doubt lenny will fork out over 5 million pounds half way through a season! we will sign a striker but it wont be him i'm afraid!

I agree with the above post, although I think he is a terrific player we won't spend that amount on one player, same as we won't splash out in Rhodes. Would love to see liam ridgewell from Birmingham however, really classy cb and put in a transfer request in the summer. also due to their financial difficulties he wouldn't be too much.

just been watching ryan donnelly on airdrie tv highlights this boy is well worth investing in , only 21 scores a good variety of goals and crucially wouldnt cost much

Hes a damn good player, rangers are after him too , I'd take him in a min but kp him at airdrie to keep scoring

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that Southampton have enquired about Kris Commons while there is also interest in Ki Sung-Yueng.

Commons, who joined Celtic a year ago, has missed much of the season with injury but Ki has played regularly.

"I'm aware of interest but I'm not aware of any offers," Lennon said of South Korean Ki.

I see Rhodes got 5 tonight, that finally puts to bed the rumours he'll sign for is. Theres always some English club gets carried away. He'll go for near 7 million now. IRS how the English clubs work. They overpay for everything

Why are ppl now saying we can't get rhodes?. The lad is young enough to move to Celtic for a few years get 1st team experiance at a huge club , european football and international experiance, then try his hand at the epl stop talking our club down bhoy's and ghirls we are Celtic one of the biggest names in the game. Some players put football before money look at big sammy, he turned down 2 moves in the last window that would have made him more money but wanted to stay with the hoops. Celtic would be a good choice for the lad to learn about being at a big club and actually get game time, not going to the epl to warm a bench, then he can move on to the epl. the highest his transfer price will go is 3.5 to 4m he is after all playing in league 1. maccabhoy88

Someone scoring 5 goals in one game after all the other hype about him is going to go for sillly money in the epl. I remember years ago rangers sold a Scottish full back for 9 million and at the same time celtic paid 2 million for a german international (hinkel).
