We have been moaning like f*ck about the positive press fat sally has been getting cause he gets portrayed as the cheeky chappy, I for one hope he continues as the shame's manager and he does a coisty (turns a 15 point lead in to a 8 point deficit) every year, he was a s**t player and he is now a worse manager,
There's only one Neil Lennon

Believable18 Unbelievable6

Agree ally is a sh(te manager but c'mon he wasn't a sh(te player...billy the bear..

Agree0 Disagree0

He was a poacher Billy, alright as poachers go.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was not a good player but he was a quality goal scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can your main rivals all time goal scorer be a s**t player.

Get a grip.

Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

Take kris Boyd for example? Scored more goals than henrik and was he a better player? Nope Sally all ways has been and always will overweight and to slow {Ed007's Note - *sighs* Kris Boyd did NOT score more goals than Larsson.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 007 the facts are there m8 boyd scored more spl goals than larrson. I know he scored some when itwas the premier division. But boyd is the leading spl scorer...FACT...billy the bear. {Ed007's Note - There was no mention of it only being the SPL in the post, the facts are there, to back up both points.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy was a goal scorer ok i used to hate him but i got over it

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on man hes not had a good start as a manager but he was a good player , yes he was a poacher and he did what all good poachers do, score goals. i personally like sally think he seems a no bad guy but hes had no luck with that mob and the state they are in !

Agree0 Disagree0

Who really cares re Rangers we are deserved champions lets just celebrate the trophy coming home and let Rangers sort themselves out ,,,, I for one hope they do it makes it all the more sweeter

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan here ally wasnt the best rangers striker he was good iin the box colin stein and jim forrest were better all round players what i will say the guys had a tough season just like neil lennon had the year before i wish rangers and celtic fans would give the two managers a break its not easy to manage rangers or celtic give the guys a chance two young rookie managers congratulations to celtic on the title win well played no hard feelings here

Agree0 Disagree0

Kris Boyd - 10 seasons to break a record that only took 6 seasons to set

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to say it but WHY?! The day your team win the league and you moan about your rivals manager!! Are you one of these fans that hate rangers more than you love celtic?

Get a grip and just enjoy winning the league because all your doing is making yourself look bitter.

Thats why im glad lennon didnt reveal what McCoist said to him because that would just be bitter. Good to see him win the league with dignity and class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Swally was a good player, effective and difficult to mark. I have no love for this guy whatsoever but its churlish and a bit silly to describe him as anything else but a good player. He scored a lot of goals and played for his jersey. Credit where due. As a manager and a man he will never be able to lace Mr Lennon's boots but thats a different debate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fat sally is a terrible manager,they only lost 1 player this season jellyfish and we where top when they sold him long may he continue to b there manager Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Walter must of been a tactical genius then because he got the better oh yoo lot we a smaller squad maybe if he stayed you lot mite no be champions just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares about the sewage problems on the other side of town.... ffs championees championees ......... well done to lennon and the bhoys! Here's to many more too:-)

any one else think craig burley should SHUT THE F~~~ UP he said charlie mulgrew is a one footed player even tho he had just scored with his right his weaker foot
( ed a kept it clean)
FozzY CSC {Ed007's Note - You must have struggled to keep it clean talking about him!}

Believable11 Unbelievable2

I did i can assure you of that ed i would knock his front teeth out...........................oh wait
FozzY csc

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig burley talks the biggest load of tripe ever, why he's on tv is beyond me he's as bad as his boozing buddy Charlie Nicholas. They aren't Celtic fans. Mulgrews been excellent for us this season and he's had off field troubles too nice guy and 100% celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know why he is such a turncoat. Great strike by Charlie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it only left footed players are said to be one footed? i,ve never heard anyone say a right footed player is only one footed

Watching sly spurts today and the reporter said he had spoken with Peter lawwell earlier in the day and asked about looking to invest in the squad in the summer and whether he had the champions league in mind when thinking about, lawwell apparently answered and I'm paraphrasing here 'of course, we want this club to become a force in Europe again'. Should this be taken with a pinch of salt or should we be preparing for some decent money to spent in the summer? what's your opinion ed?

DannyBhoy. {Ed007's Note - It depends what you count as decent money. We haven't bust the bank and have won the league and a possible double.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Say the money spent by Martin O'neill for the likes of John hartson or Neil Lennon, of we want to become any kind of force in Europe I think a few players of that caliber are definitely required.

DannyBhoy {Ed007's Note - I seriously doubt that fees like that will ever be spent in Scotland again Danny. I expect a lot will depend on if Hooper stays. Big transfer fees don't always guarantee success and we have done exceptionally well in the transfer market lately IMO.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will get a few million and hopefully any money we bring in through sales of the fringe players. As long as its lenny's signings rather than lawells i'll be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we have done superbly also I just think there are a few positions where we could do with a couple top class experienced players. And they dont come cheap, I suppose we'll just have to play the waiting game to find out.
Dannybhoy. {Ed007's Note - With the squad we have got I would think it would be experience that NL is looking to bring in, players that can help the team mature and kick on. I don't think there will be any more than 2/3 signings, that's just a guess.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Nl said in interview the squad needed trimmed but would like to bring in some quality in attack so possibly one big buy ,,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he buys Rhodes and an experienced tough striker. Although there's plenty talent at the club just now, look at Twardzik he was fantastic when he came on, he has awareness good positioning and he can pass. Look at the wee flick for JL goal. Like Ed I think its who we can keep that will dictate who we buy. I will say this though, the last time I saw the CFC suits so happy we had just scraped through to the Uefa cup final. So somethings could be in the air!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed,do you know how our new Polish defender has been getting on?Has he been getting a game?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - Jaroslaw Fojut has started 17 out of 25 matches for Slask Wroclaw this season. They are second, behind Legia Warsaw in the Polish Ekstraklasa (PL).}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive seen Fojut a few times in the Polish leaugue. He strikes me as being an attacking centre back and likes to play football. The problem is he can look a bit casual at times. He is fast which is just as well as he prefers to do his tackling high up the pitch nearer the half way line. If it gets behind him he has to sprint back but as I said he does look pretty quick. He does not strike me as being a world beater but you never know. Sopot Celt

i dont know about yous but i got choked up when watching Lennon today. seeing him after each goal went in you could just see the stress roll off of him. not too mention his emotions as he was speaking, you could see just what it means to him. and now i truley believe that after him winning the league after everything that want on he will be even more focused as he would put all that hate ppl have for him behind and truley become a legend of a manager. HAIL HAIL CELTiC!

Believable19 Unbelievable2

I'm a Rangers fan who genuinely wishes Neil Lennon all the very best for the future and congratulations on winning the title.

One thing he does is generate a lot of opinion between rival fans - good or bad - but the guy has shown a tremendous amount of class and dignity through trying times for him and his family, that most of the normal people in the street can only imagine.

I look forward to my own team coming back and mounting a challenge as soon as possible but I would not begrudge Neil or the Celtic fans this title.

Here's wishing you all a good and peaceful Easter - especially Neil and his family.

Tainted

According to certain individuals in the media, including former professional footballers who should have known better, there is a sense in which Celtic winning the SPL title this season has been tainted.

But this reveals more about the psychology of these individuals, than the manner and style in which the title was achieved.

The title was achieved through the hard work of the players and the mental toughness of the manager. It wasnt always brilliant football, but it was achieved through grinding out results, week after week against the teams in front of them.

When an achievement is genuinely tainted, it has been affected by undesirable and reprehensible qualities, or it has been secured through practices that would be deemed illegal or morally corrupt.

The suggestion that Celtics achievement has been tainted is ironic.

It is an indication of almost universal failure among certain sections of the media to acknowledge the reprehensible qualities and morally corrupt practices elsewhere, and it is a rather poor attempt at passing the psychological buck.

But I completely agree that there is a sense in which Celtics title has been tainted this season.

It has been tainted by the hatred and bigotry that has formed the ugly backdrop against which Neil Lennon has been forced to do his job and live his life in recent years.

It has been tainted by the many ill-informed writings in the media that created a storm of hatred around a mythological monster that too many people just accepted as true.

When you use the word tainted, you need to be very careful that you are not revealing more about your own failings than you are trying to imply about another persons success.

It certainly wouldnt be the first time, and it definitely wont be the last, that a heart full of bitterness has been revealed through an ill chosen word.

Believable15 Unbelievable3

What a thought provoking post.
One would assume that it can be,and should be applied in all walks of life, instead of being blatantly ignored by ignorant fans on both sides of the religious divide?
Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

It is "TAINTED" becauce certain individuals put this myth in print and want it to be fact...(Those who like succulent lamb?) Celtic to my knowledge are not under investigation by,HMRC...SPL...SFA.. Do not owe XXXamount of millions to creditors and owe fellow membership clubs money... RFC(IA) went in to administration because they accumulated debts which they could not pay.. (Excluding the BTC).. Celtic FC won the SPL title... and they won it in style.....Please Neil watch how you celebrate your first Championship as in the media if you celebrate too much ....you where asking for it.... you are controversial.... etc..etc

Evening ed,

What a day, ended up in bairds, what an atmosphere, and to watch the bhoys go down there and romp the game was amazing, 6-0 just class and they wanted that clean sheet bad too.

Walked to paradise and waited for the team to come up from killie, was outstanding there is no doubting we are the best team, support and family in Scotland.

Hail Hail

Ps may be on sly sports as they were asking if it was a tainted trophy outside parkhead and am shouting n singing in the background about its our title and it's not tainted, it's tinted green and white.

Hope Hately, Walker, Nicholas and Burley's employers take a long hard look at their renewal contracts. They can give the 10 points back to the shame and we would still be the best in the country. finally the title has come ....... home.... oh wait this aint the wrestling page lol

what a cracking performance to seal it, thats why we are champions!

Gotta say a big well donr to killie for allowing those celebrations, thats 2 yers in a row that the club has had to hold the celebrations and the club as a whole done a good job on both occastions esp by giving us the 3 stands!! a bit disappointing they couldnt even fill their own stand, just goes to show you how much more money clubs could make by increasing celtics away allocation, that said it was a special occasion.

Well done today Bhoys even nearly had a wee tear in my eye watching lennon sing youl never walk alone!! yes i am a sap lol

Well done Celts.A great show of desire and passion lets end this season in a blaze of glory.I dont know if it was the occasion or the emotion of seeing Lenny's reaction, but i got the feeling we might be heading to a good place.If i am honest i think Lenny has made some mistakes,but like all good managers he seems to learn from them.Where he has excelled is the transfer market,looking around the team today it is fantastic too see so many young players.Add to this the plaudits the u/19 team gained in the next gen tournament and the future could be very interesting.I have no doubt that Mr Lawell(who himself leads our club very properly) and the board will back Lenny, as there is a tremendous bond between the fans and playing staff at this time.With luck a double is coming our way and no one will have earned it more than Lenny,the man is so much more than our manager,this man is our leader.Bullets,bombs threats and actual assaults,head held high and never walking alone he lead from the front.Some people are made to be football managers i think Lenny was born to be Celtic manager.........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - The Under 19s beat Rangers 3-0 today at Murray Park GH, their first game since winning their league. Makes Kylie Laugherty's comments sound even more desperate when you look at what each club has achieved this season.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Very poor show Ed. no need to make that comment when there are lots of decent Gers fans like me congratulating Celtic. You might well be telling the truth about your 'deletions' but you've just ended up perpetuating the hatred. GTM {Ed007's Note - I am entitled to make the comment because I have to wade through the rubbish. Not all Rangers fans are so gracious in defeat as yourself, in fact some of them have really let themselves down with some of their posts.}

Sad to hear Ed.
Our club has a enough to be ashamed of just now,without some fans dragging us down as well.
P.S. -Not ashamed of the club, just the suits who ran us into the ground.

Congratulations to the Champions of Scotland. By far the best team in the country on and off the park. Mr Lennon shows the class and dignity that have followed him through all the off field problems by shaking all the Killie players hands, on camera may I add. This is what makes us the best football club and the best fans in the world. Glasgow is GREEN AND WHITE. WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.....GBNL. Keep safe fellow Hoops, we all know what the unwashed Govanites are about at times like this. Hail Hail.

Believable20 Unbelievable5

Best team in the country defo but lennon shows his class.....dont be silly...

Tam-sir 1873 well done on the league win...

Agree0 Disagree0

I NEVER thought I would see the words lennon & dignity in the same sentence. {Ed007's Note - See, everyone is starting to see him for the gentleman he has always been.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr Lennon has shown the class and decorum that you would associate with being the manager of a championship winning club. He stands head and shoulders above anyone currently involved in Scottish football as an ambassador of his club. He has carried himself impeccably throughout a very tough season on and off the park. While Slug McCoist and his unwashed Govanite minions have imploded and been caught cheating the public purse, posting bombs and bullets against Mr Lennon. How apt will it be that Mr Lennon, a man so hated by the Govanites will be the manager of Celtic when the stain on Scottish society that Rangers are, will be removed. YNWA Mr Lennon, you have shown the Slug and the Shame what class actually is.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post above rangers fan here congrats at winning the league to think all the rangers fans support those two idiots you are mistaken comments like that only cause trouble most rangers fans are decent and love to support their team just like you enjoy your title win instead of mixing it

Agree0 Disagree0

Good, give up the space for the tic fans, more CASH! in our coffers

Agree0 Disagree0

How is more cash when you would sell the same amount of tickets to celtic fans for less money? {Ed007's Note - You wouldn't need empty seats for segregation, so you could sell more tickets.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Fine sell to our Fans and present the trophy after the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

They owe us 40k why not just make it a game for Celtic supporters only and then it will be a full house and then let us get presented with the trophy on the day after the match

I know Stokes has been hot and cold for a few weeks but I thought he would start today after his last outing at Rugby Park when he saved the game and apparently kept NL in the job?
No matter I hope we don't have yet another nervy start and go for it in style like true CHAMPIONS!

Good luck tomorrow everyone hope you all have a great day and will be celebrating winning the league. I'm at the Liverpool game so will miss it, but I'm hoping you get the right result and that you will be celebrating with jelly, ice cream and champagne.
