Didnt see game yesterday but listened on radio. Tony Watt took some stick from Murdo Mcloud and John Robertson for being lazy and not looking interested. Any chance of anyone who did see it letting me know what you thought of how he played cheers. mark

Believable1 Unbelievable10

He played out on the left, same kind of role big Sami plays. First half he was positive, direct, involved and had a perfectly good goal disallowed. Good first half for Watt would have been a great first half had it counted.

Second half he started ok but didn't get the ball as often as the first and slowly drifted further and further out the game. Its seemed to me he lost a bit of heart when balls were being booted forward past him and returned back at Celtic. Basically he had to do the defensive part of the game and you can see he doesn't like running in that direction. Maybe at a fault to the lad but maybe he knows its just not his game and he couldn't tackle a fish supper.

Personally if you take away the last 15-20 mins by which time we were awful and playing no football at all, created nothing and thus having to defend, then he certainly didn't deserve peltered like the way it seems he has been.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers mate hopefully he gets a chance through the middle in the next couple of games. i'm hoping he will save us bringing guys like lassad and miku in next season that clog up the squad and take wages for not a lot. mark

Agree0 Disagree0

Lazy and uninterested. sums up evry sinfle player's attitude.

Its another game where lennon has players playing out of position. he really has to get his act together with cup final coming up

I can't actually believe big vic never won young player of the year! how does the best talent in the spl not even win the youth award? I can't make any sense of it at all!

SOS BHOY

Believable21 Unbelievable5

How does it not make any sense he has had a relatively quiet season apart from a couple good games in the champions league I think griffiths thoroughly deserved it as he has scored an incredible amount of goals for a team who have been struggling all season I don't think to many would argue with me and also I believe the right man won the spl player of the year award as well slightly ruined by his off field actions this morning.

Agree1 Disagree1

Big vic deserved it not some wee knobhead

Agree0 Disagree0

Big vic has been playing within himself for a few months now but for the first 3 quarters of the season he was so far ahead of any other young player in the league that should have justified him winning it. Griffiths is a pecker, not as bad a lad as some people make out but a wee ned nonetheless and he wouldn't get close to the Celtic first team. By the way, another way of looking at your assessment of Griffiths is to say he only stands out because he plays for an awful team. He takes all the pens, corners, free kicks and plays up top on his own most of the time. When he doesn't, they play Eoin Doyle up front beside him and dedicates his whole game to setting up Griffiths because he isn't capable of scoring himself. Doyle has 8 for the season and the rest have a dozen between them. Conceded 50, 7 more than they have scored. They are rank rotten and if we fail to beat them at Hampden we want shot.

Agree0 Disagree0

So your calling nicky clark for queen of the south rotten when he has scored 41 goals this season your calling lyle taylor rotten and he has scored 30 or so goals. wanyama has not been playing within himself as I said he played well in the champions league games but his spl display's do not warrant him being given player of the year he has looked dis-interested in the league and since you went out of europe he has been average to say the least. griffiths has been awesome and a lot of celtic fan's would like to see him at parkhead if hooper goes. I understand why you would want wanyama as player of the year because he is your own player but you have to look at a whole season not half.

Agree0 Disagree1

What celtic fans have u been talking to that want griffiths! He's trouble! Big vic is the biggest talent in the SPL no doubt but I agree can't take away other people's achievement also kevod88

Agree0 Disagree1

To the zombie getting a bit carried away with himself, go and talk sh@te on your own page pal. Lyle Taylor showed how good he is in front of goal in the semi's against Hibs. Missed 4 one on ones, he won't ever be anything but a good 1st division player. As for Nicky (soon to be a rangers player) Clark I wonder why your giving him the big one eh? Talk about hypocritical! I'm defending a genuine class act and you pretty much call me biased yet your dropping Nicky Clarks name? It's lower division football mate, and in scotland no less. These players could go still go nowhere in the game outside of the Scottish lower divisions. Also when I say Wanyama is playing within himself you argue he isn't, then in the same sentence say he looks dissinterested. Tell me what's your definition of a player playing within himself? Clown. Your arguing for the sake of it, what are you 14?

And the Griffiths to Celtic shout just put the cherry on top of it pal, honestly.
I am yet to hear a single Celtic fan saying they want the Racist tweeting, 3 kids to 3 different mothers by the age of 23 fathering, thumb looking ned from Leith anywhere near Celtic park. He doesn't have the talent Riordan had and he couldn't make it at Celtic. And even if he did, we don't sign players with Griffiths track record at Celtic, we are a family club. We leave the El Hadji Diouf, Nacho Novo' and Garry O'Connors to you lot.

Going to say it again and expect to take more pelters from the Lenny can do no wrong brigade but Lennon is not tactically astute enough to be a Celtic manager, we have a talented bunch of players at the moment thanks to Mr Park and his excellent scouting system, but imo Lennon doesn't know how to utilise them. Sick of hearing about this is a nothing game the leagues won p***, past Celtic teams have always given 100% from 1st min to 90th min no matter the circumstances. Stevie

Believable22 Unbelievable13

Is it Lenny? I don't think so. But seriously - how can you give Barca a run for there money twice and fail to challenge ross county. its absurd. No disrespect to them. We ought to be outclassing everyone. United played like champions the other week. Why can't we?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish people like you had the balls to just admit you don't like lennon and that no matter what he did or does you won't be turned around, I've never known or heard of a manager getting so much grief off supporters after, winning a league and possible scottish cup double, and for your information that is the object of the season to win the league or would you want them to try 100% and lose the league?,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I will always respect Neil Lennon for what he has done for Celtic and how he stuck by us through postal bullets and bombs, assaults, death threats, abuse from away grounds (including religious intolerance/bigotry) plus GBH from a Tyncastle Tosser and a hate campaign by members of this countries media and press and a referee vendetta.
However, he does have some failings and errors of judgement in team selection and tactics and he can be very stubborn.
The season has had some great highs, but far too many times domestically we have failed to turn up or be fully committed (points total proves that) in a league where we have no apparent main rival.
In my opinion we should still be giving 100% and staying focussed and motivated for the Cup Final - as it's not a case of just turning up - as history shows.
I first watched Celtic under Big Jock and that's the benchmark for success and playing The Celtic Way and I think NL has good potential, but needs leaders on the park (Brown is too often injured) and in my opinion a more knowledgeable and motivational back up team in the dugout.

Neil Lennon is a young manager, bound to make a mistake or 2, not that I have ever noticed 1. Its down to the players on the park (yeah he selects) but he'll soon get the whole lot right, he'll be up their with big jock. So all you lenny haters eff off back to sevco page, lenny we love you,. ,. kbarry

Agree0 Disagree2

@ k Barry. No offence mate and I love NL just as much as the next man but he will never be up there with Jock Stein. Not even near. DH

Am a Neil Lennon fan trust me but some of you on here are pathetic you have the audacity to critisice Lennon and all of a sudden your a sevco fan get a grip ffs Neil has made mistakes this season and if u can't see that then uz have problem a pay good money to follow celtic and am entitled to criticise if a feel the need

NL has never had it I'm afraid, constantly getting outwitted by other managers. He only got the job being in the right place at the right time and was the cheap option for the board.

Deep river bhoy, just because I criticize Lenny doesn't mean I don't like him, I am calling it as I see it, not some blinkered opinion that he can do no wrong. As for your point about never seen a manager get as much stick when on the verge of a domestic double, have you heard of Gordon Strachan? But you know and I know the reason it seemed to be acceptable to give Strachan pelters, but not ok to give Lenny the same treatment. Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

MO'N teams always played rotten after we won the league! I'm 24 that's the only era I remember clearly! He's clearly tactically astute! A half empty stadium with no atmosphere must make it difficult to jee up the players! What games you been to! kevod88

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevie, what exactly do you want from nl then, win every game, every competition, he dragged us back from the mowbray disaster put together a talented team (your opinion) along with his backroom staff, this has been done on a limited budget, he has broke the shocking away record we had (which was earned by some of the teams in the past that always gave 100%)he has taking us to the last 16 of the cl, this he has done in his first managerial job so of course mistakes will be made but if improvement is made every season then we should be happy? we know the personnal problems he has endured and still keeps going, but a point overlooked is the press this season in particlar and the negativity towards the club how many players have they made headlines out of saying they are leaving at least 8 first team regulars? now we know some of this is true and nl has also had to get the best out of players who don't want to be here or whose heads maybe turned by these stories, so I will stick by my opinion that its crticism for the sake of it because you and others don't like nl and want him out and nothing will change your minds, re strachan I also defended him on here and elsewhere as you are right he was treated shocking as with lennon he got success on a shoestring (albeit more than nl) is it a ginger thing as strachans record was as good if not better than mon (is group stages of cl better than uefa final?) but he is now saint martin, and now nl?,, deep river bhoy

A half empty stadium with no atmosphere? I think most players in Europe manage to motivate themselves playing in front of 30,000 or a lot less so not got a clue what your talking about there. And since you asked I've missed 6 games at Celtic Park in 15 years and 2 of them have been this season. Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally someone that talks proper sense! Lennon isn't able to utilize the current roster he has at his disposal. He has won the SPL in an uncontested league and the team still gets beat by well below average sides. I like the man and what he stands for, but he is not at celtic level. Yes the achievements in the CL were amazing, but you're blind if you don't think that we were dominated in the majority of the games: Benfica and especially barca! Get you're heads out the gutter, we can and should have better. We should be trying to play football, kind of what liverpool are 'trying' to do at present. but lennon has the bhoys playing negative and defensive football.
