Bhoys just want to give my take on the KT to Everton story. Firstly i think it's total crap. The bhoy is Celtic daft and about to embark on another CL / Treble season. Even though the EPL is a cash cow, Everton don't pay the wages mentioned plus he's not going down there for a relegation dog fight, he's far better than that.

Would the board take 25 million? Definitely and without giving two friar tucks for the support. Is the player a money grabber? No he's living his dream and well advised by family and you can see the influence Broony has on him a player who has not only made himself a very comfy living by staying at CP but a legend into the bargain.

Not a lot of people actually tip KT to be a one club man. Even though the EPL is the richest league in the world not every young lad gets the opportunity young Andy Robertson just had. I'm thinking positive because in my opinion this bhoy will need to be surgically removed from the holy ground 🍀.

Dream world mate. KT is a fan, brought up in the Celtic way, but he is a professional. Right now i agree he will not go, maybe not even next, but it would surprise me if he stayed for the length of his deal.

I have not a clue what KT is on, amongst the high earners so 1M per year basic i would guess, fantastic money for living his dream but as he gets older and improves to the level we think he can, things change in his life and job. let's say in two years we offer him 40k p/ w life changing money, but he could make 100k p/ w elsewhere crazy money.

What we do have is ten in a row, someone like KT knows the level the team that done this would be elevated to, by then probably as captain, and at 24-25 he could leave with his head high for the type of club who win CL's. Until football changes dramatically that will not be us, sadly.

Personally I think Tierney will stay at Celtic as long as he is enjoying it and the club want him to stay.

I think his is one player the board would be reluctant to sell because of the fans backlash and there would be a backlash. And the board know this. The only way the board could get away with this would be if KT himself said he wanted to go.

Article in the Record saying we are after Tom Jones of Yeovil Town. 22nd y/ o right back - also linked with Hull and Swansea.

I'm assuming you mean Tom James as apposed to Tom Jones as that would be unusual 😁.

Definitely Tom James heard he was a sex bomb.

All that cash in the bank and all we ever get linked with are lower league english players.

Only the cheap ones James, only the cheap ones. Maybe have had a broken leg, but full of promise. :) then we are all over it. I fully expect someone we never heard of, from a team no one wants to watch, from a a town you wouldn’t visit twice., who Brendan can turn into a proper player after they come back in from the loan to East Fife.

Or we might buck that approach and spend a few bob, what of those options do you think we go for?

The latter.

RB is not a position to take lightly I think the board will bring in a recognised player for this position.

New poster guys. Just want to have my wee bit on KT. earlier post today implied that the reason there is this speculation is that Everton may have triggered a release clause. If that is true then we have to deal with it. Hope it's all rubbish as I think the bhoy is worth double that. Couldn't blame him though. big bucks!

Doesn't the release clause rely on the player wanting to leave? . i don't know myself so am asking?

It just means the club has permission to speak to the player. By no means would KT need to sign a contract with any club the met the figure.

I think the clause on his new contract is 50m. Again tho, nobody really knows. But 50m is a good place to start lol.

{Ed007's Note - I really do know for definite and it isn't. There hasn't even been any speculation that KT has any release clause and it all came from people's failure to read what's actually been written

www.thecelticstar.com/everton-tottenham-stunned-tierneys-50million-release-clause/

That's where the story originated and how anyone can read that and think they're revealing anything is astonishing.}

All I know is that Everton must have sent money to South Africa to save tax . It seems Everton are now experiencing similar problems as honest Dave King from Rangers 2012 Dave can't get a wee bit of his vast money pile out of Africa to satisfy TOP, whilst Everton can't even get a letter of intent to Celtic. I would have thought a half a day but this one re Tierney has taken a week and is still on going.
