im going to be in salou for the benfica home game in a couple of weeks.does anyone know of any celtic bars over there where i could catch the game?

Went 2 salou years back and went 2 black horse 2 watch Celtic in Europe after trying hundreds of bars they all had English games I arrived just after half time by the time I found 1 wish I Neva bother artmedia Bratislava wee Gordy first game need I say more

Murphys Irish pub mate there's a boozer called double scotch Scottish bar I was there few years ago the owner was a Tim I watched the Celtic villarreal game in there

Shamrock bar is a great boozer mate, friendly irish vibe. Food was pretty dynamite aswell. enjoy

Go to murphys bar celtic crest on the door great place. watched semi against boavista in there what a party got in touch few years later and got lift to nou camp for champs league game.

Christys Irish bar We wateched the helsinki and the first of the season there Then there is a irsh band on and the are good Hail hail

Place on the main street in salou, think its called shamrock bar. went there when we beat hearts to win league last year. place was jumping and owner celtic fan

I leave salou 1 week b4 the barca game . . . devastated. thanks for the suggestions ill keep them in mind

Been trying to get a flight organised for Lisbon but it appears all direct flights stop at the end of October. Can anyone offer any advice for traveling to Lisbon direct from Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Mate i think you answered that with your question , if they all stop at end of october then you obviously can't go direct from e or g.. maybe look at the package deals ie thomas cook they will go direct , but they may be full already.. shamrock

Mate you could try british airways to lisbon or one of the near spanish airports the scheduled flights then get a train or bus, but the likes of ryanair and flybe etc only have one flight per week. so it wont be cheap. shamrock

U can fly to faro from glasgow. faro is a 30-45 min drive from lisbon, i know this because i went 2 portugal 3 weeks ago on holiday

Were going from Manchester, direct flights from there

Try expedia. but expect to go via london or some other european hub. i have went with them in the past and its been ok.

Try flying from Stansted to Porto with Ryanair on the 20th and back on the 21st for 50quid or so. You'll have to flights to and from Stansted but that shouldn't be too expensive with Easyjet. You can get the train from Porto to Lisbon for about 25 and it takes a couple of hours.

Faro is 135 miles from Lisbon - if you drove it in 30-45 minutes you did well. The train is a high speed one and takes a couple of hours.

Check BA.COM GLAGOW to HEATHROW then HEATHROW to LISBON 21st , return 22nd total price £231.80

BA Glasgow to Heathrow then Lisbon on 20th, return on 21st is £270.

If going to Lisbon with BA you will have to return 22nd earliest as BA only have 2 flights from Lisbon a daY and last flight is 11.20am

Hi Ed, a mate in work was telling me that Templeton knocked back a bid from Celtic before he signed for Rangers, can you confirm if this is accurate? {Ed007's Note - If CFC had bid for Templeton he would be a CFC player.}

How do u know that ed ?? {Ed007's Note - Hhmmm well let's see, a boy that grew up a CFC supporter, going to win SPL trophies, cups and the chance to play in Europe or a brand new club in the fourth tier of Scottish football. Not much choice there really, is there?}

I said this in an earlier post, he simply wasn't wanted by NL. He is not Celtic class and will settle to his own level in D3. If he had been offered a chance at Celtic he would be a Celtic player, no doubt about it. Sevco City are welcome to him because we are building a team of players with ambition, something Templeton has none of. Leaving top flight football to play for a bottom feeder league team hardly constitutes the right career move.

Wouldnt be the first time thats happened kenny dalgleish rangers fan became a celtic legend heard it was the same for scott brown kevin thompson was a celtic fan too with having the likes of forrest u defo dont need him lol

What's in a name, eh? Rangers are signing players that wouldn't have got near their team last year. Why would we want them now?

(Oh except Sandaza who knocked them back in the SPL in January but signed for them in the 4th tier. Work that one out!)

His father Henry (Who played for Airdrie and Ayr Utd) supported the late Rangers FC , David was known as a Celtic fan , i don't think Celtic would be interested though , unfortunately the lad isn't good enough to get a regular game for his Bhoyhood Heroes , hence the reason he settled for Sevcovians FC in the pub league .

I'm glad we didn't get Templeton. He will fit in well with a wee diddy team like sevco. It shows the level of his ambition if he wants to go to the bottom rung, 4th division of Scottish football. I'm from Leeds and we were meant to be looking at him but if that's where his ambition lies I'm glad we didn't get him. To grow up a Celtic fan and then lower yourself and your career to that level of football is embarrassing. Just like his team, he is now a laughing stock down here. I could never ever go and play for Man Utd. I seen on a website even Hearts said his attitude stinks and moving to sevco just proves there is something not right.

James Forrest, Kris Commons, Georgious Samares,Dylan McGeough & Paddy McCourt just 5 reasons why we didnt go near Templeton, even if he was a Tim.

Celtic have McFadden on trial again don't know why he is past it and won't bring anything to the team . Only my opinion what do u think .

Also heard tonight he is going on trial this week at some point also heard liverpool looking to take him on 6mnts deal {Ed001's Note - hahaha I thought Bondie was winding me up about someone posting claiming Liverpool were looking at McFadden! Liverpool have never and do not have any interest in him. There is more chance of me signing for 6 months than him.}

I hope not, but lennon was trying to bring in a winger and midfielder so faddy may fit the bill

I agree with u ed, I don't see liverpool being interested in him...if the likes of wigan and co aint even lookin at him I doubt liverpool would plus they have stated that there will be no signings even if they were free agents. If they wanted someone past his best they would have re-signed owen lol

McFadden if fit could still do a job in the SPL and would be a good squad player and if he could show some of the form he used to have, then it could be a clever signing even if for 1 yr with mabye an option, also the younger players would benefit from his experience so if the money is right and i dont think he is in a position to demand high wages, could be an interesting signing

Give us peace. He stated he was not interested in Celtic on more than one occassion now he is desperate. We should not touch him with a barge pole!
