Hi Edd, I have just booked flights to Barcelona for the game, do you know when ticket info will be available for the away games? {Ed007's Note - Sorry I don't.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

My mate has just been online to Barca & purchased 6 tickets (see below) This is for the barca end as he has no desire to be up in the Gods again, and the Barca fans were great the last time in amongst them !

Is it ok for british citizens to buy these tickets?

Agree0 Disagree0

How much where your flights and who you book them with ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you still wear all your celtic gear in with the barca fans?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, can you put me in touch with OP re flights? If not post the following:

who was best deal mate for flights? I'm looking to travel to game alone due to work commitments of mates and a bit apprehensive, that said, one I get to airport I'llbe fine. Price of Barca end tix seems steep also. Stevo Dundee {Ed007's Note - I don't have any contact details for the OP Stevo but if he sends in his e-mail address I will forward yours onto him.}

For guys looking for flights, I have booked from Edinburgh to Milan and Milan to barca on the Monday and Barca to London on the wednesday and back to Glasgow on the Thursday morning, alot of flights I know but well worth it for £105, all flights with easyjet

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry ed/guys 1st time post, the flights i have personally booked are:
prestwick-palma/ palma-barca
Barca-paris/ paris-prestwick £100rtn
(the route above is now considerably higher)
others are going via dublin or even amsterdam (good route tae lisbon also)
the above details prevent paying the premium for flying direct, i would suggest flying to any european destination (closest best) then link to barca.
Yep colours have been worn before, bearing in mind the likely hood of giving them a doing and upsetting the locals ;-)
good luck lads. H.H {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site and thanks for the information.}

hi ed and fellow celts, first time poster here. just wanted to know if i would qualify for concession prices (i am a 2nd year university student) or would i have to pay full price. i am hoping - if i am lucky enough - to go to all 3 home champions league games but not sure what prices to pay....£75 or £105. Also, if i do qualify for the concessions price, would i just show them my student id card or what? thanks for your help. also, great signings this window, heres hoping we can sing: jelly and ice cream in the last sixteen :) cheers

JJ Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site JJ. I don't know anything about the concession criteria. I'm sure somebody else does, I know Mrs E gets an OAP concession.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Concessions are over 65's and under 16's only & contrary to what the cheeky beggar that is Ed007 says, I don't qualify either way :-) Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree1

Cheers for that Mrs E :) JJ Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a student concession but its not as much as the full concession price

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that a dead cert for the champions league games? do you know of any prices mate? cheers JJ Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I got a student ticket last season. The deal is you buy first off buy an adult ticket, get your director of studies or PhD/research supervisor to sign it and hand it back in to the ticket office complete with a passport photo and photocopy of your student card.

They then re-issue your card within 7 days and credit your bank account with the difference. Think I got around £70-80 back last year which reminds me I need to download and get the form signed again...

As for ticket prices for European games etc. - we won't get a discount on these. Applies only to large chunk of £500 or whatever you pay initially for the season book.

Celtic should really provide these details clearly to supporters in the application pack but are decidedly quiet on discount on tickets...I wonder why.

NB I was wrong above - it's a stamp from your university. Last year they accepted my department stamp as opposed to the official crest.

Also, the form can be downloaded here:

Hello Ed007 hope the legs holding up well these days. And hello to all other regulars. The long winded one is back!

Gotta say im excited bout the champs league. Our team has not nearly played its best football so far this year so better to come. A 2nd or 3rd place finish in the group is not impossible by any means if we are at our best! This is a big if esp with our team as they blow hot and cold on a minute by minute basis at times!

Recent signings have me wondering too. When talk has been of a target man being the priority was LEnnon and co perhaps leading some down a merry dance. Yes the Tunisian looks handy in the air but im thinking he was looking for a more no10 type target man, someone who can get the ball down in the attacking third and make that little pass round the corner or keep it moving. Provide that extra target to keep the ball moving in a more purposeful way than our predictable side to side movement we rigidly stick too a lot of the time. I Was never fully convinced by the need for a huge hulking striker in the Hartson/Sutton mould. Our team is trying to adopt a more fluid approach to the game and tend to use the long ball as a get out rather than a focal point... although this said if we are struggling its all we do to Sameras at times but with the additions we have made with people with a bit more technical ability up top we could reap the rewards... if they are good enough which hopefully they are.

Anyways enough of a ramble take care all

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - Hi mate, nice to hear from you.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I know we haven't had all the players at their best so far and the injuries in midfield are causing problems, but we are playing well in games and passing the ball well. Missed chances are very evident and match sharpness and competition for places will sort that out, however I am very pleased to see us creating chances and goals from corners and set plays a lot more. I think a target-man was seen as another option - or plan B if we needed it.
But when the majority of this squad is fit, we should be a very good side indeed.

JJ

Out of the 2 we signed up front, one is the same hieght as Hairston and the other is an inch taller, although not of the same build they'll still be a handful in the air!
