Evening ed, have you any idea what's wrong with Joe ledley or how long he's out for I think we're missing him in middle of the park.
Dhman {Ed007's Note - He has a groin injury but I'm sorry, I don't know how long he will be sidelined for.}

Does anyone know if Derk "the tampon" Boerrighter is fit for tomorrow?. Stevie {Ed007's Note - Boerrigter has had an injection in his ankle and is unavailable for tomorrow's match.}

In for 1 week out for 3 Andy.Stevie

Grate patter :) made me grin. Have to agree he has been as much use as a mate with brittle bone disease on an action adventure wkend in regards to his fitness! Hope he finally gets himself fit and slots into play more when he is back. Don’t get me wrong I’ve seen flashes of a good footballer when he has been playing but I hope over the coming weeks he can build on it. A few of the games he has had good touches/runs but completely disappeared for the rest of it. Confidence and consistency are difficult things to have unless you are playing at a good level regularly. I understand that. Hope he finds some form. Allot of the lads will agree one of Celtics failings this season has been our pass completion when we have been up against it or players switching off at the wrong times and not doing the simple things solid and right. It will come. I have no doubt we will go on a great run. I just hope it kicks in while we are still in the mix in europe. Fan brain takin over but I want the away Milan hunger (minus the goals) in every game. We have the spl in many ways to prepare for Europe and for players to earn their place rather that a favourites starting rule regardless of form. The league shouldn’t be a necessary evil just to be on the main stage but a place where you earn your starting 11spot. We have had our losses to the squad and we have had additions. We have made moves and ruffled feathers in europe last year and now we have the same stage again with our new lads. Let’s make this tour count. Our badge should be on that telly, every year, tuesday and wednesday night when its cl time. Admittedly we are a massive club with a great history that has had to battle every step to be there, financially, with the media. sfa. for a long time my attitude has been 'long may it continue' because we are of a better class and have been successful regardless of the tw#ts that have put themselves against us. rglen8

Hi Ed

Just a general question, I know Stokes is in his last year but is Sammy the same if so, is this going to be a problem come January when they are free to sign pre-contracts. Also is any of the other mainstays in the same boat?

HH {Ed007's Note - Atajic, Commons, Ledley, Mouyokolo, Samaras, Stokes, Toshney and P.Twardzik are all out of contract next summer. Anything can happen between now and next summer and I expect all of them will have options to move on if they haven't signed new contracts. I just can't see Mouyokolo being offered a new deal but the rest will (or should IMO) be offered new deals although Atajic, Toshney and Twardzik might feel it is better if they move on to get more game-time elsewhere.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Thanks Ed

It seems a bit strange we have allowed Sammy Commons & Stokes & Ledley to get into there final year, surely its a big risk? I understand the kids looking to move on for more game time but do you think we could lose any of the 4 above? I understand its guess work at this stage but opinions welcome

HH {Ed007's Note - Stokes could be tempted with a chance to return to England with possibly WBA renewing their interest. I don't think Commons or Samaras will be looking to move but I'd say Ledley will be the most difficult to hold onto. Or hopefully I am miles out and they will all sign new deals at CFC.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Toshney and Twardzik. What do they think when kids from other clubs come in and outrank them. I'm from the sixties, when our team was mostly home grown, with a few 'imports'. now we have only Forrest and Mulgrew in our first picks. I believe that this is beyond being defended. There is something wrong at Management or Coaching levels. If we cannot produce more from Lennoxtown, then what is the point of having youth structures.

{Ed007's Note - There is a new poll up.

Do you think it is acceptable for a Celtic manager to be using Tw@tter?

Please take two minutes to register your vote here:

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think there should be a more important poll.

"Do you think Lenny's substitutions in CL last year and this year has cost us games or points?"

Cheers. {Ed007's Note - I've took a note of that and will set that up for tomorrow.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Scotzine In overdrive again? I think he has win us more points with sub's than lost us . TTTS

Agree1 Disagree0

TTTS then if u don't think he's lost points vote no. It's not a vote on him winning points or doing well in CL. Or a vote of confidence in Lenny. I think he's great except for subs he chooses. It's very specific issue about subs only.

Neil been Neil maybe it would be better if he wasn't. But twitter maybe shows his passion, a guy who wears his heart on his shoulder .
I don't follow him on twitter but I have voted Yes. TTTS

Great news that Efe Ambrose has signed a new 4 year deal. I think him and Van Dijk will prove to be a great partnership at the heart of our defense.

I'm annoyed he has got a new deal so quickly, where is super joes new deal? Where is stokes new deal? Efe is not a player we needed to tie down, I'd be happy to see him go in January if I'm honest, he looked sloppy as usual on weds, might not have made a obvious mistake but he is a pass away from a disaster in every game. PL get the finger oot, joe and stokes have been wanting a new deal for the best part of a year now, who deserves it more? Joe or efe? Efe or stokes?

S

Agree0 Disagree1

Why are u getting annoyed ledley and stokes are negotiating if Ambrose agrees a new deal before they do then so be it, it's not like the club have gave him a new deal and ignored stokes and ledley! Ps Ambrose is having a good year so far him and big Virgil could be a cracking partnership

SOS BHOY

Agree1 Disagree0

Think efe ambrose is playing well with big virgil .As for ledley and stokes they just need to sign, or do they think they are better than average footballers . meagle tim

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you watching the same efe? He's had one ok game and that was mid-week, the fans did this last year with him because of a few good games! The standards of celtic fans has dropped if we think efe is decent, and joe and stokes have been in contract talks for over 12months, PL should have done those deals first, efe doesn't deserve a new deal just because he's having an apparently decent season so far, wait until the season is finished and if he deserves it offer him the new deal, players don't merit a new deal because of a few good games.

S

Agree0 Disagree1

He's had more than one good game, to be fair. I thought he was terrific in Milan as well as mid-week. JC

Agree1 Disagree0

I admit not Efe's biggest fan, but think he's improved a lot this season, Ledleys made it clear he wants to stay, I think Stokesy be away, people got to remember it be easier to negotiate with Efe as he not even close to being 1 of the highest paid at club, Joe on a great wage & rightly so got to pay for quality, in my opinion people wouldn't be intrested about Stokes signing new deal if Hooper was still here. Lets lift the mood a bit lads, favourite Celtic Personality, it can be player or manager. I think we've been blessed with great players and some great managers but for me it can only be Tommy Burns (RIP)

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I think your answer is unrivaled BadBhoy. Tommy Burns, Mr Celtic! Closely followed by Ghod - Henrik Larsson.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy Burns is the man that got to do what we all wish, he lived the dream.
Unfortunately a only got to see the tail end of his career

Hoopy the huddle hound.

Tommy Burns is a great shout but my pick would be Bertie.That man is hilarious as well as a really nice bhoy.

Joe McBride would be my pick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rod Stewart just for his UN dieing love for the hoops and greeting for all to see after the barca pumping? Brilliant lol big p {Ed007's Note - I really hope you are kidding? He might have conveniently 'forgot' his days wearing Rangers blue but a lot of fans haven't. He's up, (or should that be down?) there with Sean Connery as far as I am concerned.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen many a great player over the decades, but Bertie Auld has a fantastic humour and personality and would walk over hot coals barefoot to play for that jersey.
The best manager we never had.

Tommy Burns for me followed by Paul Mcstay. Chris30

The big man himself for me, Jock Stein.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andymac I'm glad it is not only me who think's the big man should be number 1 on every Celtic supporter's lip's, without him we would be nowhere, he was treated disgracefully by the then Celtic board after he retired as Celtic manager, I would bet if you asked TB, BA, BMcN, JJ, in fact any Celtic player Big Jock would be the man
