It is all very respectful, standing by and 'observing passively', what appears to be happening within the SFA & SPL.

Is it not about time we stood up to this apparent 'whitewash', and threatened to do the same as the Rangers fans did (boycot all away games) if there remains silence from both the SFA & SPL; with what we all fear, Rangers walking away from this with minimal punishment ( which they most likely won't even honour, as they will leave any monetary punishment with the 'OldCo'.

Believable17 Unbelievable4

Well said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, the power of our pound by boycotting away games will have the same effect as the proposed threat by Rangers, albeit with a slight sense of pity to these other clubs as they have effectively did nothing wrong and most feel the same as we do. A statement has to be made by us that we are not going to stand by idly and allow this to happen. We have to show the directors of these other clubs that there will be consequences too should the punishment be too little or at worse none.

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of supporters of non O/F teams are threatening to turn their backs on Scottish football altogether if a Rangers Newco are allowed to continue in the SPL rather than being made to start off in Division3

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't lawell on the SFA board and Riley on the SPL board? Plus with lawells past record with Regan do you honestly think these three men are sitting back doing nothing? Also thompson from Dundee utd is on the SPL board and absolutely Hayes rangers.

The SPL aren't trying to be nice to rangers, they are trying to look after themselves.

BNB

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Absolute embarrassment and shambles the way the authorities have handled things so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

Try emailing the SFA any thoughts and comments. I for one wont be going to another SPL game if Rangers walk away from their debts scot free.

Agree0 Disagree0

BNB,

I fully understand what you are saying, but I think we all know what that the representatives you mentioned will be out voted, by the others who as you rightly said will look after themselves.

But, Rangers know that the SPL will procrastinate and delay any decisions, and they are taking advantage of the situation ( I think they will form a NewCo before the season ends, in order for them to avoid any penalties).

So I feel the only way for us to counter this, is to play them at their own game, and force the SPL's hand into making a decision quickly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original o/p well said totaly agree

Agree0 Disagree0

EUFA FFP Regulations come into effect from Season 2012/2013, i.e. next season. Maybe it would also help posters if they read the Henry McLeish report on Scottish Football - especially the points on the History of Football around 1989 when Celtic's turnover was £8 million but debts were £ 36 million with average crowds of 22,000. That works out at a cost of £4.50 for every £1.00 earned.............in other words technical insolvency!!1

Agree0 Disagree0

LMFAO, you lot copy everything everyone elso does, the huddle, ynwa, backs to the pitch, just can't get enough, going after the same players as Rangers & now you want to boycott away games. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

If there is a 'whitewash' we should stay away from any ground that supported the inaction of the SFA/SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

This post is ridiculous. Why punish other teams. We are better than that. Much better than that. Shame on this

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring Fergus McCann back as head of the SFA. He will soon ther s**t out and is not afraid to make the right decisions regardless how upset people get. (as Cadette, DiCanio and the other mercenaries who thought they could hold CFC to ransom). Celtic supporters were begging him to spend but he knew what was needed and did not spend a tenner for every fiver! Painful at the time but look at the club now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever happens to the other mob happens, if they get let off scot free so be it,why would any celtic fan be suprised, lets just concentrate on CELTIC, we got lots to look forward to next season so lets not get caught up in their stupid games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think ANY Scottish team should attend IBROX again.

Agree0 Disagree0

A more constructive approach would be for a mass cancellation by fans, of all clubs, of their SKy Sports subscriptions in protest of a newco being allowed to start of life in the SPL or at least a petition to Sky threatening to do so. It strikes me that Doncaster(quite an arrogant and dismissive character) is more interested in saving the Sky TV deal he negotiated than protecting sporting integrity in our game. in order to save face. Its all about the Sky money and thats why the football authorities are bending over backwards to accommodate Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Whose the clown who says Celtic in 1989 had debts of £36M? Turnover was indeed around £8M but at the time of takeover in 1994 our debt had GROWN to £5M - £7M. Hardly £36M muppet. We were £36M in debt in 2003 with a turnover of £70M. There is no comaprison with the situation then or now. There was no insolvency event at CP (close as it came) and no atempt at a NEWCO. all debts were paid. What do folk not get about this. To encourage re-entry without punishment is the eqivalent of giving the green light to, say Aberdeen, to borrow £30, go for the league, then when the bank want it back just reform.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I was told today that under Uefa regulations all money's owed between football clubs must be paid in full. Can you confirm or deny this?
DannyBhoy. {Ed007's Note - Under the new FFP regs.

* Clubs are also barred from owing money to other clubs, players, tax authorities and social service departments.

In England (although they are trying to change it) money owed to other clubs is given preferred creditor status. If it was the same case up here then any club Rangers owed money to could have forced liquidation on them...or as it has become known 'doing a Rangers to Airdrie'.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Thanks for that ed.
DannyBhoy. {Ed007's Note - No worries Danny.}

11 o'clock just home from game parkheads a nightmare to get away from but anyhoo the game was'nt great , too many changes, the thai tms were brilliant , they must be the happiest kids in the world , bb

Believable6 Unbelievable1

These kids should be an inspiration to us all they were superb tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at the game last night too first for a while [due to work] took my youngest , who aint that keen , he enjoyed it the thai tims were great. the game so so ,best news youngest wants to go back again .theres hope yet !

Agree0 Disagree0

Loved seeing the kids.So happy,they looked like kids at Disneyland.Game was typical end of seson affair,Ledley was good but Rogne was a stand out.Heard the Thai Tims will be back for Hearts game,good ending to their trip.When do they go to Ireland and also go home Ed?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - The Thai Tims are due to visit Belfast for a concert on the 8th May and are returning home on the 15th of the month JB.}

another game away another win, a farewll for mark wilson me thinks, good luck to the guy. Mo Bangura showed some lovely touches, no goal for him but hopefully a wee start for him. Commons looking back to the old him again, and ledley is the most underrated player in scotland, the guy is just superb.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Mo Bangura was mince. Sell him if we can get anything for him. Hes had enough wee starts and no done anything with them.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

I would keep wilson,he wont be hard to deal with i would think..........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Ledley pips Mulgrew for Player of the year for me. And he wasn't even nominated. instead they picked Steven David who by the rangers fans, they're manager and the player HIMSELF admitted hasn't had the best of seasons. THEN we got the SPL team of the year yesterday STEVEN DAVIS AND NO JOE LEDLEY. Its embarrassing to be honest, just embarrassing. Simply because Aluko has only played half a season and they had to pick a Rangers player. if they had to, which it seems they do have to then bocanegra would have made more sense. Anyways i was chuffed to hear Joe come out after the Kilmarnock title winning match and say that he loves it a celtic and wants to stay hear and win lots of trophies and that trophy's mean more to him than money. Great attitude and great news for Celtic. There would be many clubs from the premiership would take him in a flash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same was sed about samaras but now look the Celtic support are behind him players just need a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Bangura looked quite good lets give him a chance, ibrahim looked like he had some good touches about him.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Mo Bangura was mince" ... another one out of the sack big Sam school of thinking?........ TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

You need more than a few good touches. Everytime Bangura had a sniff near goal panic set in. One of his shots went out for a throw when he was on 8 yards out. Hes not the type of player who is going to improve our squad. Move him on while we still can.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought bangura was pretty good for a guy coming back from long term injury made good runs held the ball up well just needs a goal or two and his confidence will rise and be the first name on team sheet imo
bigD

Agree0 Disagree0

Banguras hardly had a chance and he's been injured...would prefer gettin rid of stokes jordybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes is a better player than Bangura and Stokes is not my favourite player, but credit where due as Stokes knows where the net is and he has a load of assists which he gets no or little credit for. Bangura is a bit of a headless chicken for me, sure he is quick and athletic has a nice wee flick here and there but he has no football brain. We certainly could not rely on him from what I have seen when the chips are down, admittedly we haven't seen much from him but would we have even if he had been injury free?, he may not be showing too well in training even when fit. The young Nigerian boy however looked pretty assured and there may be a good outcome there. I was impressed that he did well against what is a powerful and physical St Johnstone team, unlike McGeough who unfortunately had a difficult night but that's what first team football is all about for youngsters. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Ledley has had a brilliant season.his energy,speed and stamina are 1st class.so underrated but not by fellow tims i hope.we are luck to have him.more and more impressed every time i c him.hail hail

Agree with some of that sopot banguras still a youghster aswell but skokes is only a good squad player just my opinion..not good enough for champs league jordybhoy

hi there ed can you tell me AGAIN(sorry mate) mate how to get a live feed for the game tonight cheers,kb-bhoy. {Ed007's Note - The full match is being shown on BBC Alba at 10 p.m. (Virgin 118) as well.

1. Install the browser Google Chrome.

2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.

3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.

4. Click on extensions

5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.

6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.

7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install. (it may download to a holding file in the bottom left as you look at it, in which case as soon as it's finished click there, but mostly it will install itself)

8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that, select 'live stream' and reset the clock to GMT and it will list all the live games available all over europe and other places.

You may occasionally need to install other programmes or the link you pick will only work on Explorer (in which case cut and paste the URL into Explorer), but you will always get every EPL match (or any other). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English. You'll get about thirty links and you may have to look through a lot of them to get what you want. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches and French matches as well as top matches from South America.

Someone also asked about viruses etc. Google Chrome is actually far more secure than Internet Explorer so the risks are considerably less, but you should have decent virus/spyware programmes and run sweeps regularly as a matter of course.

The quality will also depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have super-speed and have a modern HD TV, consider connecting your PC to the TV via the PC socket on the side/ back.

Cut and paste the above into a document and save it for future reference.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ed thanks for that AGAIN LOL. just as i got it up and running got f**king called out to our storage yard some little B had tried to break in had to go and turn alarms off just back in and just about to watch it on alba can`t find it on 118 so thanks again big man,kb-bhoy {Ed007's Note - Sorry channel 188...d'oh!!}

Just a few questions - are HRMC andll other creditors going stand idily by while someone removes anything of value and then agree to CVA for the crumbs that are left, also will UEFA stand by and have their fare play strategy made a mockery of, thus by opening the floodgates for any other club to abuse the rules. Did FC Sion not get a 3 year transfer embargo for their mistameaours?

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Leeds UTD were the first NEWCO and UEFA were powerless as the club did NOT liquidate RANGERS 2012 LTD may be an UNJUST outcome but it is no where near UNLAWFULL {Ed007's Note - Is YoUr keYboArd BroKeN?}

If they go newco and are allowed straight back into SPL ,shouldn't Celtic resign in protest and apply to join SFL ? Still in Europe next season and in control of their media rights .Would supporters back this stand against corruption and immorality ?

Paddy Malarkey

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Cutting our nose off to spite our face. What would it achieve. Us in the SFL and Rangers still in the SPL.

And guess who'd be qualifying for the Champions League the following season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe this poster should lay off the 'funny fags' eh

Agree0 Disagree0

If as I suspect they are going to be able to play their squeaky clean club in the SPL with little if any sanctions EVERY club in the SPL are as well packing up and going home....the baw would be well and trully burst for our national sport.
an SFA poll of 96% against them being allowed to stay in the SPL without sanctions and they still are given the red carpet treatment.

I think that the newco can only get into the SPL if the other clubs allow that to happen. If they do then we should let them know now that we will avoid their grounds and rather than joining the SFL we should consider not playing in any of the cup matches too.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been given a six-match touchline ban - half of which is suspended - for his Scottish Cup semi-final conduct.

Lennon ran on to the park to confront referee Euan Norris after the 2-1 loss to Hearts at Hampden.

The punishment means the 40-year-old will watch the three remaining matches of the season from the stands.

The remainder of the penalty will be suspended until the end of the next campaign.

But Lennon, who has just served a two-match ban for criticism of League Cup final referee Willie Collum, received no punishment for a further two rule breaches relating to comments made on Twitter hours after defeat against Hearts.

The SFA ruling read: "The judicial panel found Mr Lennon in breach but imposed no further sanction based on the fact he was not responsible for the posting of the actual tweet."

Earlier this week, Lennon said that he planned to apologise to Norris for his behaviour.

He also indicated that he would not appeal against the penalty imposed on him by the Scottish FA's judicial panel.

I think this is a good deal.He can sit in the stand and see who isn't up for representing the club next season.

If he is suspended for the last match does that mean there is a time limit on when he is able to come out on the pitch after the match.

I have absolutely no knowledge of the big bad world of finance but I can’t help feeling that the Yank has come in, pounded the table at the SPL/SFA saying any more punishments and I bin the offer. All the while knowing there will be further punishment by which time his offer has been accepted, the deal has been done and he is the new owner. Whereupon the further punishments are dished out he announces to the hoards, sorry guys but we can’t afford this anymore we have to go into liquidation.
And, hey presto! He has his club and the liquidation he had preferred all along and the knuckle draggers have been done over again. Simples! Well that’s what I’d do if I had the cash to throw at a toilet.
ED007:- Ankles looks very painful. You should get that photo into NUTS mag. I had a mate who cut his hand almost in half and sent the photos in and got some cash for it. He had to lie about his age mind ‘cos he was over 40.

Ed,i found this and i was just wondering if you knew anything about this guy?

Sly Spurts understands Blackpool and Peterborough are both tracking Welling striking sensation Loick Pires.

The 22-year-old is one of non-league football's rising stars and will be out of contract this summer, which is sure to spark a fight for his signature.

He illustrated his qualities again on Wednesday evening by playing an instrumental role in helping Welling gain a 2-1 lead in the Conference South semi-final first leg.

His devastating run from his own half, which left four players in his wake, set up Lee Clarke's winner against Sutton.

Pires has won the club's Goal of the Season award for the last two seasons and was also named their Player of the Year recently.

Welling, however, will be entitled to a compensation fee for the highly-rated talent should he depart the club.

Sounds a not bad player and is there any more news about our interest in that Fleetwood striker?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I have never heard of Pires JB, sorry. Jamie Vardy has agreed to join Leicester, it is just the clubs who need to sort out the details of the deal.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Cheers Ed.How many goals did Vardy end up with for the season?Think he would have done excellent up here.

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - He finished on 34 goals in 40 matches. The reported bid is only around £750k but I think the Fleetwood owner might still hold out for the £1 million he was looking for.}

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed001's Note - I don't, 007 was asking me about him last night. ED007, I know you have a better grasp of all the shenanigans at Ibrokes than most of us, can you explain to us mere mortals how this "incubator" system works, "good bits" to one company "bad bits" stay then "bad bits" magically disappear and hey presto RFC are back stronger than ever.
I recall you saying that a CVA was only possible for companies with a
proven record of paying taxes/bills etc.. surely HMRC can stop any CVA in their tracks as this appears the only way this "incubator" thing can work getting a workable CVA?
Also this other quote about "getting assurances from SPL/SFA about no
further sanctions" stinks also.
What are your thoughts ED007?
Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I have read up a bit on this because I had no clue what it meant, once I read it though it fell into place, I had just never heard it called by that name. The incubator idea is similar to you emptying your house before the bailiffs arrive, then when they have left you bring your stuff back home. HMRC are aware of this system, and the administrators should know of the very high risk involved in going down this road. After so many weeks of going nowhere are D&P getting desperate as the season reaches it's end? A plant company we used when I worked in the engineering game tried this and ended up in more financial trouble than they were initially in and ended up going under, the whole process of liquidating that company took 2 working days and that was including a court case. The owner of the company (who I knew quite well on a professional level) has always blamed his accountants for giving him bad advice by doing this. I still can not see any CVA being agreed, and there is no mention of Whyte's shares, or Miller paying the £500k that the administrators wanted, has Ticketus made any statement yet, they still have a say in all this as well (unless something has happened, I was at the hospital this afternoon). If the deal is unconditional then why are D&P 'understanding' there will be no more points deduction? It sounds like there are still conditions, there must be some conditions until the BTC is settled. Announcing a preferred bidder is miles away from any deal being done, I think a lot of Rangers supporters are putting lipstick on the family dog and thinking they have pulled a woman here.}

Ed best lipstick quote ever Loved it Im still chuckling lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Couple of great analogies there Ed.I would hold off on the celebrations for now as i think Whyte is still calling the shots in this game.D&P never mentioned really troublesome questions;tax cases,dual contracts, and i think UEFA might take a dim view of the incubator idea.My problem is the spineless SFA/SPL,this is not sport,so why not let rangers run things as it seems they already do.Thank god the Tims are at the game tonight to cheer me up! hope your legs better mate............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - Thanks GJ mate, have a great time at the match tonight.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But Ed are they not wanting to play football in the house while the baillifs are still hanging about ? If the creditors agree to a CVA how will 'rangers' pay this with no income when all the assets have been transferred to a newco. I mean the CVA will still be quite a few million. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - That is exactly why it doesn't seem to make any sense Mrs. Any CVA (for the oldco), along with present/future running costs of Zombie Rangers will need to be paid, can you run two separate companies as one business entity? Where are HMRC and Ticketus in all of these sneaky football matches..Where are they headache pills......lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it wood be as simple as if they agreed a cva as the current form then they would still have the costs of running the club plus the cva where as transferring everything to a new co would just mean that all assests would be protected the new clubs running costs are paid and the agreed cva costs would be paid

Agree0 Disagree0

Holy s**t ed just seen your ankle for the first time! Who the F@*k tackled you Materazzi? I play 5's & 7's and with the boys i play with it gets a bit tasty sometimes but WTF! thats a beauty. {Ed007's Note - I had an accident at work about 12 years ago and shattered my ankle and mangled my leg a bit, a pile of steel H beams fell on me. I had steel pins and plates put in and worked away. About 2 years ago the steel-work inside became infected and I had to have it removed, I've been on crutches since then. I've had ops on the other side of my leg/ankle and some nasty scarring there. I am hoping I will only need one more op after I get over this one and then I will be able to learn to walk again.}

Celtic and Motherwell will represent Scotland in the qualifying stages of the 2012/13 Champions League.

Neil Lennon’s SPL champions will enter the tournament on the Champions Path at the third qualifying round.

Third placed Motherwell are on the Non-Champions Path, also at the third qualifying round, at the expense of Rangers, who have not been recommended for a UEFA Club Licence.

Celtic

This season’s SPL winners need to go through two qualifying rounds to reach the group stages for the first time since 2008/09.

Projecting Celtic’s potential opponents is a lengthy process. Six teams will enter at the first qualifying round stage, with the three winners joining a further 31 participants in round two.

The 17 winners of the second qualifying round will then be joined by Neil Lennon’s team, the winners of the Belgian Pro League and the Romanian Liga I.

Celtic are guaranteed seeds for the third qualifying round. Basel, should they progress from round two, are likely to be top seeds.

At present, it is difficult to project who the unseeded sides, and Celtic's likely opponents, in the third round will be.

Taking into account those who have already qualified for the second stage, and guessing those who progress, potential opponents could include HJK Helsinki, Molde FK, NK Maribor, Shamrock Rovers, Linfield, Ekranas or Hapoel Kiryat Shmona.

Should they progress, Celtic will again be seeded for the play-off round stage. No further teams enter at this stage, which is contested by the ten winners of the third qualifying round.

The third qualifying round will take place on July 31/August 1, with the second leg on August 7/8. Play-off round ties will take place on August 21/22 and August 28/29.

Ed a question, would this incubator/newco whatever its called still have the transfer ban? I can't believe they will walk away from this mess scot free? I know the Uefa issue with 3years accounts needed for europe. {Ed007's Note - The transfer embargo would still stand, depending on the appeal of course.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

There will be no incubator. Due dilligence will take 2 weeks which takes us up to the end of the season and lets rangers fulfil their remaining fixtures. After the 2 weeks Bill Miller will walk away claiming that SFA sanctions prevented him from saving Rangers. HMRC will serve their big tax case bill and rangers will be liquidated making way for the likes of Paul Murray to step in a pick up the pieces by buying the assets on the cheap.
Make no mistake, Rangers will NOT walk away from this unscathed.

So nice to see ally throw his considerable weight behind Mr Miller's proposed new tenure at ibrokes.This it seems is the man with the plan that seems to fit in with mccoists own vision.Never mind all that rubbish about Whyte making rangers"fitter and stronger,make no mistake about that"as ally said.This before and during administration.Then in a flurry of far eastern metaphors came Mr Ng(no,not the villain in a bond movie) who ally it would appear,was right behind.Then the blue knights made their play.Ally knew these guys,knew they were indeed blue,and seemed to slide right into their slipstream with his old well thumbed cliche book again getting an airing.So,that was it a marriage made in the blue room,a synergy of rangers peepil to move forward.Then arrived a rugby loving hibs fan who ally spoke to,and he liked the cut of his gib! After the knights and kennedy merged it seemed all was well in planet ibrokes.But always lurking in the background was Mr Miller.A day before it seems that miller will be named,ally played out the final act in this pathetic play.A week or so after backing the rangers fans in their "red card" protest,he is telling them to give miller a chance Did'nt you seem to have the same thoughts about Whyte ally? My god,if you were in the trenches who would you want at your back? mccoist or Lennon?..............green jhedi

Green jhedi I dont wanna ask this on a gers page cos they in a bad mood just now lol but what about the big tax case No one is talking bout that anymore

Thats the guy all over Jhedi! The smiling snidey wee yes man, saying everything and anything the people want to hear. I have always seen through it mate, as im sure you have aswell. The guy is a joke. Lenny is most probably a bit of an arse at times. I met him once in Trash in glasgow just after he signed for the Celts we were jumping about pissed to oasis digsy's diner, he was a bit of a lad back then but seemed a genuine guy. i think hes honest and i like that a lot about him. wears his heart on his sleeve, gets him in trouble from time to time but you see what u get with the guy. The other guy shows himself up to pander to whatever they want him to be. I know who i would rather have in my corner or have in the trenches with me as you put it.

I wonder if Miller knows he will be towing their arses for years to come?

The only thing we are obsessed with is laughing at your club. Sally is telling every person what they want to hear and you are obviously all believing it as you seem to think your club will survive. Good luck trying to come back next season.

Obsessed? no.Observing,yes. We just find it funny how the next guy is the saviour,no wait here;s another guy and on, and on,....Try this on.Miller backs out after the due diligence phase,assuming he actually comes up with the 500k fee.To late for a new saviour,liquidated as Whyte has been planning all along!..........green jhedi

If Ally was good enough for Walter Smith all those years, as player and coach he's good enough for me.
