Agree0 Disagree0

Shame the big man never really got a good run out in the squad thought he was gonna b a wee gem a well like the last post said anotha off the wage bill
afgandan67

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have played him every day of the week ahead of Murphy. Hope big dunc makes a name for himself elsewhere. Good luck big man.

Agree1 Disagree1

I remember when supporters used to be more interested in the players on the park than getting them off the wage bill how many is that been " took off the wage bill " ? how many has been added ? ...NONE ... so we might get humped out of europe blow the two cups like we did last season BUT HAY AT LEAST WE REDUCED OUR WAGE BILL and thats all that matters right ?? as the advert says who cares if we win anything as long as theirs bubbly at the share holders party

Good to see the sky deal sorted, now the rest of the teams have the money of tv coming in for at least another year.

Personally I think if sky pulled out altogether, Espn would have picked the rights up as they would see it as taking customers off sky.

As I said its all settling down nicely n hopefully Scottish football will proper.

Due to work commitments gave my season ticket to my friend for a few season meant I still had the season book incase I wanted it back. Work commitments have changed n am back supporting the hoops more often.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow n also see basically the entire stadium is limited availability for tomorrow.

Hail Hail

The deal is for 5 years not 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

I missed out the 5 by accident

Cumby Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

So much for football armageddon without the cheats eh?
sky will pull the plug and scottish football will die they said....well, not for another 5 years at least lol!!

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a big cut in the amount of money that sky are putting in ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bare in mind however rangers are still a part of this deal as a few of their games are included in this deal...

Agree0 Disagree0

Spl still to disclose details of deal, dont be suprised by an spl 2 for season 13/14.

I see tommorow nights game is heading for a sellout, less than 5000 seats available. Hopefully place will be rocking.

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Is it not included in the season book?

Agree0 Disagree0

It is part of the season book mate but as we have'nt sold all our season tickets and the Finns only having a small allocation there are thousands of seats available. Let us hope these are sold and Paradise is jumping. Franco 63

seen a rumour sunderland rejected a loan bid for connor wickham? any truth in this ed? {Ed007's Note - Not that I know of.}

Believable3 Unbelievable6

If any of this is true its ridiculous. They only have a couple of strikers so why would they agree and also why the hell would we ask?

Jamie Mac(nonsense whatever)

Agree0 Disagree0

He was offered to Wolves as part of a deal for Fletcher

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently his agent has said he has agreed a year loan with us and will arrive Friday.

Agree0 Disagree1

If he does you will get a great player safc fan but he was s bit inexperienced he would do great in the spl

I am baffled about the James Vaughan link - if true. Grant Holt would be a much better addition as he is not similar to our current strikers; holds up play well as a target man and scores his fair share. But to be honest a centre half should have been our first priority!

Jungle Jim {Ed007's Note - It seems to be only Sly that are running this story, I am just hoping that if it is true his loan is not part of a sweetener for one of our players going to Norwich. Huddersfield and Birmingham are also interested in taking Vaughan on loan.}

Believable1 Unbelievable6

I never realised that we have European football regardless if we beat Helsinki, which I think is very likely so I would imagine that would be a deciding factor in a decision of Celtic or Norwich type sides this summer.

Next summer however...........

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert will let Andreas Weimann go out on loan to gain more first-team football experience. Weimann is a keen Celtic supporter and would be interested in a season-long move to Glasgow.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Why is it all these players linked with your club are celtic fans, mate get of what your on. there is more interest in your 3rd div than the spl, down here in england all the talk is about Rangers. Aweimans team is spurs and that is a fact, so do your dreaming somewhere else.

Agree1 Disagree0

Mate Weimann is SH*TE. Not even close to being good enough for Celtic just now. And if your so interested in sevco fc why not go on there page and read the verbal diarrhoea on there. Clown.

I mean who actually gives a flying F*CK who he supports?

Here longshanks maybe your pals in the 3rd division will take him on loan. Thats about his level.

Oh and give it a month or so and see how interested the minks across the border will be interested in the 3rd division. Its big news just now because it is THAT! BIG NEWS. A club the size of Rangers extinct and having to come back and cling on to whats left of there tarnished history and start from the bottom.

ITS LIKE A CAR CRASH, YOU CANT HELP BUT LOOK. BUT THE NOVELTY WEARS OFF PRETTY QUICKLY.

celtic stand to earn £2m if they make it by hjk helsinki. therefore i would like to see someone signed (hopefully centre back) before next round, if we win.

does anyone know if celtic will be seeded if we make it to the play-off? {Ed007's Note - Yes we will be seeded if we qualify.}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Ed is that true? Do we stand to make 2mill if we get past them? And why would that be? {Ed007's Note - For making the play-off round teams receive 2.1 million Euros from UEFA (on top of TV money/advertising and match day revenue). It is the way the competitions finances are set out???}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed, hope that gets added to the transfer kit to bring in big player for cl run or put it in the wanyama bank and sign him on a new long deal. Side note if he does go I hope we stand our ground and get as much as possible, sell wit 16 mill or get money plus players.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we progress past Helsinki doesn't that guarantee Europa League group stages? Surely that will lead to a lot more than £2 million in income if it is the case.

afternoon troops. can anybody tell me if you can get premier sports on a pay per view?. much appreciated. {Ed007's Note - I think you need to subscribe to it for a month, but I have no idea the cost etc, sorry.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

9.99 a month but I have no idea if there is a minimum subscription.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a minimum 2 month contract and I think it's £14.99 not 100% sure though

Agree0 Disagree0

They were doing an offer of £40 for the season using the code: celticfc

Agree1 Disagree0

If you subscribe it's only £40 per year

Agree0 Disagree0

I took it for the ajax game and you have to take it for min 2 months

Agree0 Disagree0

£40/year....thats your best option, works out at roughly £4.50/month

taco

Agree0 Disagree1

Better option is Streampro.tv it is less than £40 a year and covers every Celtic game home and away, all the epl, cl, el, internationals, 3pm kick offs the lot. I am a subscriber and dont have anything to do with this but if it helps a fellow fan save some money then its a winner. It is also HD streams, they have 4 for tionights match.

Hi Ed and fellow tims! I am hearing from a source close to the club that a deal is almost done for a top drawer CB, and will be completed if we qualify. I really hope this is the case and my source is usually very reliable (although he did tell me Rhodes was going to be a celtic player at the start of July lol.)

It's looks increasingly like we will have to settle for a striker on loan (James Vaughan) and a CB if we qualify. As long as the CB is real quality I feel the fans would be happy with that, thoughts people?

Cheers Jamesy Bhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Not vaughn please

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you're right mate, but what are the chances of a quality player coming to Scotland with all the recent bad publicity generated by the dead club.

Agree0 Disagree0

This isn't acceptable though - is it? Neil stated in June (ie very recently) : "3 or 4 signings - the majority of them first-team ready."

We have been lied to once again. (nd possibly neil has too). we are expected to hand over ourt money, but for an increasingly inferior product. A centre back is needed desperately - and could well be the difference between qualification and failure. Fojut was a done-deal, and we pulled out. he was needed (the Club obviously felt...) so who is his replacement? Lawell.... hello?

sky sports news! celtic have made an offical approach to sign norwich striker james vaughan on a season long loan with option to buy!

chalky bhoy!!

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Would be very disappointed if we sign him! Poor player and wont be any better then what we have and i include Murphy in that too

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a strange one.I cant see what he will bring to the table at all.........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

This wont happen, unless murphy and bangura ar leaving, still unlikely to happen even if they do, we ar going for a target man 6 foot over, surprised if this loan deal happens.

CelticDubGary

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing on their website about it, not even on the Transfer Clockwatch.

TerribleBeauty

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not go for Holt?? He is a better target man, holds the ball up and scores plenty...

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont see the problem he is a far better player than murphy and bangura put together! he has pace and if played would score goals ..ok he has been injured a bit but he seems fine now and he caused plenty of problems both times i have seen him...we clearly dont have the money to go and buy grant holt or someone of that standard and i dont blame the board we have two strikers we brought in to the club for four million pounds between them and both are shocking (murphy and bangura)!! apart from that we have stokes and hoops and that is it.. sammy is a wide player now ! vaughan has strength pace and a very good touch so why not and his wages wouldnt be too much ...whats the harm??

Agree0 Disagree0

Why keep buying strikers for £1-2m who aren't up to the job? Instead of buying 5 players who aren't much use - just buy one who can score goals

seems like sly are still running with the james vaughan on loan story, surely we should be aiming at a higher level of player? i would rather the scouting team tried to unearth another gem like they have been doing so well lately

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I was impressed with him in the 2 games we played against norwich. Fast, physical and can find the net. Ok he doesnt have a great strike rate, i think its something like 22 in 100 league appearances but he is still trying to get through a full season without injury. He definitely puts it about so thats something different and he wins a lot of balls in the air for someone who is 5 foot 11 so i reckon its a decent bit of business for us. Its a loan and he wont be on big money so whats the risk? I think we will still be looking for someone else aswell as Vaughan on loan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Probably but instead of just saying give suggestion

but remember it can be hard to find hidden gems
