Apparently Spurs want 5 million for a year loan that includes his wages if so I can't see it happening.

I've just read that Spurs apparently want in excess of 5M for a one year loan and we've already offeted 2M for the player. If it's true that's greed from them and we'd be far better spending our cash elsewhere. Time will tell.

I suspect nothing will happen until after tomorrow’s game. If we win it then we are far more appealing with European competition to offer.

If that is correct about the £5m, then why did we not just pay the one million for Doughty? If we have decided to go down the 'loan route' again, then we are going to have to replace/ recruit two defenders for next season, or does the club not look that far ahead?

I think we are looking to sign Duffy perm at the end of the season, I am sure I read that not long after he signed on loan. The club was looking at a perm deal.

Think the loan fee will get pulled from the permanent fee aswell probs 3 million tops to make permanent . Will Duffy want to though wages wise .
