Heard from guy at work that Rodgers is looking at getting in Danny Wellbeck on a Bosman. Drop in wages may be offset with a cpl of million signing on fee and chance to play Champions league football.

Plenty of alarm bells have been ringing this season even before the shambles of the sevco game. The most glaring for me was a lack of fight and presence in the team.
Push the boat out and bring big Victor back. He will be leaving spurs so why not try?
If we bring the young striker in, why not bring an Andy Carroll in for 6 months to help. He would take some pressure off and give us a different option. I know he ain't the long term answer but he has something (if fit) that would ruffle up teams. One thing is for sure who ever comes in needs to hit the ground running.

Andy Carroll would need to prove his fitness for me, that plus take a hefty wage cut, but must important is his fitness. Last thing we need is another striker on The sidelines.

I did say if fit. if not Carroll that type of player. am sure the sevco defence were quacking in there boots with our attaching options.
We need a different option. gordon can't play the long ball cause there is no one to hold it up.

Andy Carroll started yesterday didn’t finish no impact made but played some part in my opinion not for me but am no picking the team the only one who knows is BR and his team so we just need to wait and see and when the player signs we will support them.

Andy Carroll and Rodgers don't get on I believe, comments from Carroll about how he messed him about while at Liverpool.
I think the players that are there also need a bit of a bigger name or a signal of intent to get them going again. Our teams of old had winners in them with some pedigree, something I think going down the development route is misses.

Unless we see players leave this window, thus freeing up some wages and possibly adding to the kitty, I don't think we will see a lot of fee paying transfers this window.
My guess is we will only splash out on a right back and a striker, anyone else that comes in will be a loan deal until the end of the season.
However, I do expect there to be far more going on in the summer as we have a number of players out of contract.

We just need to learn from the mistakes of the summer and put forward the best fair offer for a player right away put the ball in their court and if they then don’t want to come or ask for more money then they don’t belong at Celtic.

Read numerous rumours on line that don't seem to go away regarding lee congerton and another guy supposedly leaving and going abroad? Is it congerton who wasn't trusted in the summer? Are the poor signings all Rodgers? One blog says this month's targets have nothing to do with congerton . I'm sure time will tell . But like many have said loads taking a wage and not giving anything back plus benkovic and boyata away in the Summer, probably brown and lustig also . A major rebuild needed starting now and targets identified for the summer departures . Won't be any cl next season with this squad especially if we don't reinforce strongly for the second half of this season and create a gap between us and the chasing pack . This is ours to lose at this point.

How can anyone judge Lewis Morgan after a few substitute appearances? Look at Ryan Christie now who has been written off more times than anybody, give the Bhoy a chance, he is a talented young player .

Morgan isn't ready yet as is the same with Hendry should've both been loaned out and not playing a part for us yet. Maybe they won't make the grade after a loan spell maybe they'll prove their worth like Christie but they was always ones for the future but with injuries to the squad they've had to step in.

KennyBhoy77, there have been some successful signings. Jury still out on Edouard and Ntcham and we got lucky with Dembele as he had one brilliant season then just gave up playing for us and now can't get a game at his new club. Sinclair has been hot or miss of late. What about Kouassi, Musonda, Hayes, Hendry, Gamboa, Compper, Morgan (could still come good) , De Vries, Izaguirre, Toure and Benyu. Four out of 15 signings have actually be ok but the rest have either been mediocre or non existent, not sure if its Rodgers or the scouting staff but with just over a 25% success rate id say something has to change.

I also hope that we have back up options.
Big issue in the summer, when top target fell through we didn't have a plan B.
If castagne, bayo, weah / Burke doesn't happen then we move to next target.
After putting calmac at LB on Saturday think we now need to throw a LB into the mix as BR obviously doesn't have faith in his LB options he signed.
