The bhoy did okay.

The big man strolled through the game

Ambrose is a find. The boy was class, great attitude and a worker, technically gifted & fast. He also knows how to find a man and carry the ball. If he can do this against quality players then he will be worth a fortune and add a big dimension and take some pressure off the other quality players. The team is shaping up. We just need someone to help out Hoops and Sami up front and who knows where it will take us. Hopefully Miku can show well if selected in Moscow. Sopot Celt

Apologies for the bad English in my post. I am learning a new language and it seems my grammar is being affected....its nothing to do with being old of course....Sopot Celt

I've said it once and I'll say it again Gary Hooper is the best striker at our football club. Once again he's done the business for us today. I don't know what some of you are looking for from him. The guy has had a slow start to the season, but is making up for lost time. 5 goals in 2 games. Fantastic return. Ian L

Hooper is good on many levels. He comes deep to link up the play, he holds the ball up, he closes people down and he scores goals. I liked the system today, put Motherwell on the back foot from the start and the 2 centre halfs are imposing, quick and strong, takes you back to the Mjallby and Balde days. Today was the best I have seen Izzy play for a long time and great to see Sammy and Joe back again. Personally I thought Broony was the man of the match, he chased down everything and he drove the team on. A great performance before the Moscow game, lets hope we go and have a right go at them on Tuesday and maybe just maybe....

Agree0 Disagree0

Just saw hoopers goal and his controls alone should shut ppl up and open there eyes! For he took a 30 yard in the air pass with the outside of his foot without breaking stride and controlled it perfectly without it bouncing or having to stop but just go in on goal and score.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you, for some reason some fans think hooper needs to score in every game or he is shiat and wants away and should be sold for nothing. It's the start of the season and they think it is all doom and gloom with him, they fail to see just how good he is off of the ball and how he gets the ball moving. It really baffles me how some ppl are against him, he has proven more so then others of his talent and work rate. Would like to know the distance coverd in some games as they show in cl. C-Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Although he is classed as our goal scorer i reckon his abilities could be utilised in other ways if we can find a prolific forward too.
i hate using comparisons but he could be a sutton esque forward for us because he shares similar qualities like his ability to play deep and link up and hold up well.
i feel he has stepped up and proved himself as a goalscorer because we had noone else to do so. either a penalty box striker or a hold up sutton esque player imo. i feel what we still need is a guy who can bang them in...someone with a predators instinct.

I agree forrest is frustrating to watch atm. he reminds me a bit like walcott and aaron lennon with his decision making. all pace but not much else, still young tho so hopefully he learns. on the other hand v.good performance thought hooper was class today with his movement and took his goal well. looking forward to tuesday

Celtic have opened contract talks with James Forrest as they look to tie the influential winger down on a longer-term deal.
