well eds and fellow brawz... whats the opions on lassad and miku at the minute? are they good enough to keep on a permanent bases or can they not cut it? also is the reason kayal hasent been starting lately due to injury or form? I think hes a great player a worthy of starting, your thought thanks {Ed007's Note - Like I said when they signed, I will wait until the end of the season. I still don't think Miku will sign permanently though.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Lassad signed a 2 year contract. Also think kayal is a great player and will be vital when Brown has his hip surgery

I think lassad has done well when he's played set up a couple of goals and scored a couple aswell

We all loved the holy goalie for a lot of reasons.At the time he was best celtic keeper in years but even he pales in comparison to the big man from cumbria.i have never been as certain of a celtic keeper saving a pen as when zaliukas stepped up.The catalan press were spot on El Gran Murala

Hearts will probably have to sell in January - what about a bid for Ryan McGowan ?

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Hi Ryan!
Not CL winning level perhaps?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah why not we could use someone to clean lustig and Matthews boots

Junglebhoy33

Agree1 Disagree0

He's not just a right back - he can play defensive midfield too -Victor won't stay forever . I think McGowan would be a good signing ( from a good Tim family too !)

Agree0 Disagree0

The mcgowan bros are both **** who did they think they were running towards commons like angry wee men,.,.kbarry

Agree1 Disagree0

"from good tim family too" what? He nearly signed for them, he had talks with them,..kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be an excellent signing for us and his international career, rogne just too injury prone and hes more versatile play anywhere across backline and a defensive role in midfield

Agree0 Disagree1

Ryan mcgowan is not good enough and to say he is from a good tim family is utter non-sense we need quality players not mediocre sheila`s. signing targets should be johnny russell and a winger. central defence is not to bad now, if hooper goes lassad is there and if wanyama goes kayal can step in but another central midfielder would be required.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah no thanks, certainly not good enough...can look half decent at times but nowhere near lustig or matthews ability or quality. I agree with above post, we should sign johnny russell and a decent winger and if we can maybe another CB for cover incase wilson or ambrose picks up a niggle.

Great win tonight! one thought... if hearts are able to get £9m for craig gordon then theres no reason why we cant get £18m for forster when the time is right. World class

Why do fans complain when the players dont put any effort in ?? every time they have a good performance all they read is fans trying to flog them to the highest bidder so why should they bother when fans would rather have the money than the player maybe if they do get a move they might play in front of fans that appreciate them and make them feel wanted

Agree1 Disagree0

On reflection I am surprised Harry Redknapp was not involved to ensure his dog got a wee bung. Seriously, a very good goalkeeper sold at an EPL price. Fore various reasons wast out under Mancini. Celtics spies should be making maga bucks with the talent they have found for us and will obviously negotiate the best terms when the time comes for their client to move on. We just have to accept that this is the way it is and get on with it.

Goog evening bhoys and ghirls, was wondering if anyone could tell me how efrain juarez is getting on since he badly broke his arm in august? I have tried to get info online but can't find too much. A little update would be good, last I heard and seen was he was in a cast etc.. I know it didn't work out for him here...and to be honest not sure why, he looked decent the few times he got his chance. Thanks

Shugthetim82 {Ed007's Note - Juarez was an unused sub in Club America's match on Sunday there.}

Thanks Ed, much appreciated.

Hope we win tonight. We have 25 points from a possible 42 that's 17 points dropped, almost as many as we've won.

Come on Lenny fire em bhoys up on a cauld winters night.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

0-3..... Amazing what some fan criticism does......

Agree0 Disagree0

Great result away at Hearts but consistency needs to return, that'll be shown by at least 4 wins in a row.
The stats are still average with 17 points dropped in 15 games. More than a point a game.

Manchester United - who were knocked out in the Champions League group stages last year - received £28m

The above is a quote from a BBC article today. If Celtic get through Group Stage then we should get more than above, as the finances are higher than last year and £28m was for being put out, not going through. And the above is Uefa money not match day tickets, hospitality and sales.... The futures bright the futures Green and White. {Ed007's Note - Manchester United (English teams) get a higher percentage of the market pool than we get.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Ed if what you've written is correct, no reason to disbelieve you, then what's the justification for that? That's precisely why Scotland doesn't have enough money to attract and keep the best players. And knock on cannot negotiate big TV revenue for our league. {Ed007's Note - It is all worked out by value of the TV market of leagues. Each league is given a percentage of of the market pool and it is divided between the teams from that FA i.e. The total amount paid to the English FA from the market pool is divided between four teams. It is only paid to teams from the group stage onwards, so CFC will get 100% of the SFA's payment from the market pool but Man Utd will only get 25% of the FA's payment. All prize money from UEFA is paid to the relevant FA to distribute it, in case you are wondering why I am mentioning the FA's and not the clubs.}

Agree1 Disagree0

As the Ed says its all to do with market share. In laymens terms the biggest, most successful teams get the bigger slice of the pie. It's exactly like in Scotland when money divided between SPL and the others. adv revenue etc, tv stats and so on are measured and lets face it, man utd / barca etc just like us in scotland hae the biggest pull n so should expect the lions share. stevo dundee

Agree0 Disagree0

So does anyone know what we are looking at should we make the last 16? {Ed007's Note - Here is a breakdown of the money CFC will get:

Champions League Group Stage: 8.6 million Euros
Win Bonus: 1 million Euros
Draw Bonus: 500,000 Euros
Last 16 qualification: 3.5 million Euros.

This does not include any share of the market pool (TV money etc) or matchday revenue.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Re. Ed007. Why should they get more than others? First of all it was the Champions League which, by definition, is played for by the Champions of each member country. Not so. They allowed 2nd, 3rds, 4th in league teams to participate turning it into an exclusive club for the rich to get richer. They grudginly allowed the smaller teams to play each other on a knock out basis with the end result a seat at the table to feed off the scraps. I do realise that it is a money generating league but the whole format is still designed to feed the rich clubs which makes it harder for middle of and smaller clubs to improve. Now I hear that the Man utd's of this world get a larger pay-out for being knocked-out of the competion at the group stage than clubs being knocked-out at a similar stage. Sorry for rambling, lust a bit pi**ed of at the set-up. {Ed007's Note - I never said I agreed with it, in fact I probably agree with you. I was just passing on the information.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for suffering my bitch and I do appreciate facts are facts but it is still not right. Especially at that stage in the competition. You can understand why people are walking away from an uneven playing field though. {Ed007's Note - Teams are walking away, Anzhi have already informed UEFA they have no interest in complying with the FFP regs. and they are happy not to play in the CL.}
