Hes never played first team football in his career. Its either a massive gamble, A publicity stunt to get his a loan move somewhere or we wasn't even scouting him at the game, I've never even heard of him. Ed any source in this?

{Ed007's Note - I don't know where the story came from but Mavrias played 68 games for Panathinaikos (6 goals, 8 assists) and played 6 matches for Sunderland (1 goal), he's also played in the CL and EL for the Greek side and has 5 full caps.}

A newspaper this morning reporting that Deila & Collins watched Argentinian Sergio Araujo playing for Las Palmas in Spain's 2nd tier against Zaragoza. He scored 2 in the game they watched and is currently on loan from Boca Juniors. Played for Barcelona B on loan previously too.

Why would a 'B' team take on a loan signing? Isn't the idea to blood the peripheral and younger players?

Some "B" teams take on young loan players to see if they are worth signing long term. plus they also sign older players who are only good enough to play in that division to help the youngsters instead of them getting humped every week and losing confidence

Just looked up on him, He can play in ST LW CF roles which is good for Deila's set up and his market value is £1.58m on transfermarkt. Looks good value for money decent on Youtube too but so is everyone
