That's young Calvin Miller away.

{Ed007's Note - "Brendaned"}

27 May 2020 15:58:23
He was a decent winger in the Development Squad but don't think he would have displaced Forrest.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He was voted the best player in the world for his age playing as a left winger or a CAM, Rodgers decided to play him as a LB and that was his career on a downward spiral right away. Rodgers' trying to get young players to do things they weren't capable of doing (plus filling their heads with lies and bull$hit) to the detriment of their career was called being "Brendaned" at Livrpool.}

Need to have a bit of sympathy for the lad when you get converted to a left back when Tierney was first choice and fully fit, another clueless move by rodgers.
To be fair at that time he was never really going to get a decent run in the team with sinclair on the left hand side aswell he should have left on loan and went to a team where he would stand out so he could eventually come back and had a chance, all the best to him.

Filling heads with lies and bull Sounds like modern day life. 🤔.

I can remember him playing his first game, I think it was a midweek match at Celtic Park.
I felt sorry for Calvin because getting played out of position at left back was not fair.
I can also remember him running riot on the wing in the youth cup finals at Hampden.

My bhoy played against him plenty and to be honest he was never good enough to hold down a place in the first team especially on the lw.

There's no-one who loves Brendan like Brendan loves Brendan. If that means he fecks up the career of a young lad along the way then so be it. Listen, he's a talented coach overall but he is very much about his own success first and foremost. If we win 10iar I hope he is nowhere to be seen. He came in and had a very positive impact but his manner of leaving was deplorable especially when you consider his attempts to take our entire coaching team with him. If he was a Celtic man (which he said he was) he wouldn't have done that and thankfully the like of JK said no. He'll be a mainstay of our coaching staff for the long term because he knows the definition of the word 'loyalty', and he delivers it in spades even though he could probably do better elsewhere financially if he wanted to. HH.

Get James McLean and Lewis Ferguson signed up for the 10 that will tip the Rangers over the edge.

Ferguson no thanks better at the club and better out there.

I know we've had many rangers fans as players in the past. but the way his family is steeped in there ways I do not think his heart would be in helping us get 10. there's rangers fans then there's loyal rangers fans if ye get my drift and I think his family are the loyal kind.

{Ed007's Note - The Ferguson family aren't like that mate, their mum is a lovely women and Barry's wife and their oldest kid at least (maybe all 3 of them) are Catholics and went to Celtic Park with Maggie's dad on season tickets bought by Barry.}

27 May 2020 10:36:09
Ed’s spot on Barry’s kids have been to a few matches at Celtic.
Lewis Ferguson is a kid with good potential a can see similarities with a young Scott Brown would let us give Broony a rest when needed.

Don't think either are good enough tbh.

ed007. surprised with that mate I just assumed they would have been right staunch rangers men and the whole family. I watch open goal and Derek Ferguson does seem like a decent guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm pretty sure that both Derek and Barry have said when asked that it would be up to Lewis to decide and he'd need to do what was best for his own career if Celtic came calling and that he has the mental strength to handle the pressure.
I don't think it'll happen as I think Ferguson's next move will be down south but when you look around Scottish football he's one of the best midfielders outside Celtic and he's only 20/21.}

27 May 2020 12:19:01
ed007. they boy has got abit a dig about him definitely mate. and i can only see him improving do you think Celtic would be interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I do simply because he is a top young talent right on our doorstep.}

27 May 2020 14:07:29
Ad sign him and I’m hoping we will he’s got potential to be right good player and he has a wee nasty streak so will do for me.

You want someone in our midfield who when he goes into a safari park the animals roll up their windows.

I like Lewis Ferguson, energy, dig, drive, commitment, passion, can score goals. Saw him against Burnley in Europe and he really stood out against them, he has the attributes to make it at a club like ours. If we have the chance to sign him we should, could be Browns successor in my opinion.

28 May 2020 11:24:20
He definitely has a bit of dig in him because he might have finished up with the most bookings in the league last season.
Scott Brown was similar for years.
Lewis will adapt his game with experience, the same as Brown.

Ferguson is DEFINITELY worth the effort if we can make it happen. That's a lad who will be a major player for whatever team is lucky to sign him. He's young, he has grit, he has balls and he has self confidence in spades. If it's 2-4m then he'll be worth every penny. HH.

29 May 2020 11:41:54
Bob - 2-4m? Remember this is the Sheep we're talking about and if The Wig wanted 10m for McKenna and he's a carthorse, then they'd be looking for crazy money for Ferguson.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 May 2020 17:34:08
He might turn out to be a better player than McGinn wouldn't mind signing him and loaning him back to Aberdeen for the next season or 2 to keep him progressing and getting games as right now he wouldn't dislodge anyone in the team atm. By then Brown may be considering retirement.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - What if Ntcham moves on?}

29 May 2020 22:50:58
You are spot on there, the only way we can improve the midfield, improve the creativity, improve the mobility, bring the team up to another level, is if Brown retires because there is no way he will be dropped.

Ed am glad you said that about barry Ferguson and that. I have know for a long time he's not like that even though he is a proud rangers man. Spoke to him years ago and was a real nice guy to me. Few weeks before he had problems in glasgow with a group of neds and he was really angry with himself for getting caught up in it. Said his mammy went tonto.

{Ed007's Note - 👍
