Heard Sunderland are planning a bid for stokes, few ment to be around 4m. Can't see it myself, but if its true it gives us a chance to really freshen up the front line. Pohjanpalo at Helsinki would be a great singing as one of them. Just banged another hattrick for them today. 18 years old aswell, and I don't think he would be too expensive.

Why would they bid £4m when he's out of contract?

Agree3 Disagree0

He's not out of contract until next season, and if I'm correct in thinking we also have 1-year contract extention option we could activate.

Agree0 Disagree1

He is out contract now. The one year option hasn't been agreed. He can currently leave for nothing. It is strange that nothing has been agreed yet.

Agree0 Disagree1

WHY? ONCE BITTEN COULDN'T KEEP HIM OUT OF NIGHT CLUBS LAST TIME HE WAS THERE

Agree0 Disagree0

His 1 yr option was taken up by the club it doesn't need agreement he agreed to it when he signed his last deal, the new negotiations are for a new deal

Who the f@#k wants to go to a nightclub in Sunderland? You'd catch rabies. dopeydavey

Agree1 Disagree0

No chance of di canio signing him, if you have read any of his interviews on discipline and fines then stokes would be out of pocket every week if he even manages to keep any of his wages! Di Canio only wants total proffesionals and Stokes isn't one of them

Ed have you any idea if Celtic are interested in Philipp Hosiner?

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - There was interest but his move to Hoffenheim looks as if it is back on.}

Awesome scoring record. he's obviously a goal machine even though I never saw him playing.

Thomas Rogne is undergoing a medical at Wigan Athletic and is set to become Owen Coyle's 2nd signing since taking over from Roberto Martinez, I'd just like to wish Thomas all the best for the future . Drewzybhoy .

To be honest, was disappointed to see him go. Hopefully with a decent run and if he stays injury free, he will turn into a quality player.

I can only wish him all the best too. If he had managed to stay injury free for any length of time with us he would have developed into a really good CB. More game time would have sorted his weaknesses at reading the game but he had a remarkable number of injuries for a young lad. Hope he makes it through the medical. Temple Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I liked Rogne. I did not like his knockback of a contract. This is a guy who has been with us for 4 seasons has been nurtured and developed and has played well short of 100 professional games including sub appearances. he's is almost 23. Not bad that he can get a big contract on the back of that. Still wish him well but don't see him ever reaching the heights. Another Loovens at best. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just wish him all the best.

But with GH what I do not understand is why he would not sign a new deal get more money and still move on if he wanted to celtic will not stand in his way he would help the club that made his name to what it is today, and no matter where he moves to unless its a bigger club than celtic then he has no chance of playing for england.

Ed what ever happened to John Guidetti of Man City the boy looked amazing a few years ago when he was on loan in Holland if I remember right he scored almost a goal a game! Surely no chance of getting a game at Man City would be worth a cheeky bid! {Ed007's Note - He is still at City. I would be delighted if we could prise him away from City he is a quality player. There are talks of him going to Sunderland or abroad on loan again, it seems such a waste of his talent IMO although he has had his injury problems to overcome. When Txiki Begiristain hinted at City's interest in Wanyama during the winter I had hoped we could have got Guidetti as as part of any deal.}

I was at an SFA coaching seminar 2 months ago, amongst others Scott Sellars was a guest speaker on the day (man city development manager) he said the boy can go as far as he wants in the game but has a real attitude problem which could hinder his progress!
The coaching staff don't think he's mentally ready to play regular first team football at city yet but are happy for him to be loaned out if teams are willing to put up with the "big time Charlie" attitude. Sellars said he's the best you g prospect he's seen in a long long time.

He would be a great player for any team. Another waste of talent at money bags city. Would be great to see him playing for the best club in the world. Gazdcelt

I'm a Rangers fan and I would just like to say that what you did for Cliftonville was very decent, letting them play the first game at home means they make a few bob, just thought I'd compliment you on it, I'm sure some one will call me a Richard.

Got this on good authority that he is joing sunderland on loan for a season with an option to buy as his agent has now become sunderlands chief scout {Ed007's Note - Hi agent Roberto De Fanti is the new the Director of Football role at Sunderland, that could cause problems.}
