Hope this isn't true unless bamford is on a permanent deal. I rate Allen, I just don't think he's been giving the chance to prove what he can do. Definitely the best passer of a ball we have. Remember a through ball against Ajax that was outstanding. He's the only player in our team that could have made that pass!
If he goes, good luck to him. I'll be gutted though! Before anyone jumps on my comment cause they don't like Allen, this is just my opinion of him, I'm not trying to force you to agree. HH.

He's a striker. More of a poacher in his goals but can play a bit in the final third. Technically sound. Looked very good when he was playing regularly. I had a particularly close eye on him at Boro. Good player but doesn't make sense for me to oust LG or MD unless there's a view for a permanent deal.

Don't get why Allen is so underrated. The guy must feel awful. Totally agree with you Beardy . and I have seen him a few times. He makes time and rarely misses a pass. If he was bought to prevent 'them' getting him that's pathetic. That guy can make a telling pass. but somehow his face doesn't fit. wonder hey? ?

I'm disappointed if the Allan rumour is true too. I think the lad has a bit of quality about him, similar to Christie, but he simply hasn't been given a chance to show what he can do. Bit part players have it tough to show what they're made of and that's all he has been. I hope the rumour of him leaving is wrong. :- (

Allan's problem is that although some of the fans may rate him, it appears two managers in a row doesn't .
I think he doesn't work hard enough when he hasn't the ball.
Tonight Roberts tracked back 30/ 40 yds won the ball and sprinted away 40 yds up field and nearly created an opening . The next moment Griffiths had dropped to where Roberts would be needed . I imagine that B R loved that by both men .

Old Bhoy is right, two different managers have seen him in training under more intense scrutiny than any of us and he hasn't made it into the first team. Time will tell if BR will use him domestically but as much as I'd love to see him given a run of a few games it's not up to the fans who plays.

For me what I have seen of Allan he just doesn't do enough. The past against fenerbache was outstanding but that's it. Old bhoy got it spot on regards load of work ethic, add that to the fact that a modern forward, the likes of Roberts, can start from any area, centre or the wing, look at messi n ronaldo, and for me they can make a killer pass, beat a man and finish outside the box as well as n it. Scott Allan doesn't do that for me and unless he can add that to his game, then he isn't going to get in our team.

Can't see why anyone thinks Allan is good enough.
What has he done at the other 8 or 9 clubs He has been at?
Hibs had a better season with him away and henderson in the team.
He isn't some young prospect he's 24 years old.
We have a lot of younger players that have all achieved more than him in the game already.
