Hi, quick question does anyone know a bar that will be showing the game at the weekend in Lanzarote, I think the resort we're in is Puerto Calero.
Cheers in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Just back from pc there is a pub called mcsorleys on the marina you could try

Agree0 Disagree0

You might have to go into Puerto Del Carmen, only a few euros in a taxi because Puerto calero does not have many bars, by the way if you are staying in the Iberostar hotel you have picked an exellent hotel

Agree1 Disagree0

To Col. sorry to go off topic, is that the Papagayo hotel your talking about? My daughter was considering that for next year. Thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I am aware it was called iberostar Costa Calero hotel mate, really good hotel lots of pools to choose from and very tidy, the all inclusive drink was on till 1 am Rresult, very quiet place though Costa Calero. ed7 have got tripadvisor $hittin its self now eh? col

Reports in the Netherlands claim Celtic manager Neil Lennon is interested in Ajax's Iceland international striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

If we didn't get Finnboggasson, then I seriously doubt we would get sigthorsson - Ajax would be wanting 10 mil + for this guy

Speculation like this is pointless for the time being as we have to go with the current squad until January.

According to one of yesterdays papers we are interested in 3 strikers currently plying there grade in Holland.

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson - Ajax
Played 6 Scored 4

Alfred Finnbogason - Heerenveen
Played 6 Scored 9

Aron Johannsson - AZ
Played 11 Scored 8

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I'd imagine we are interested. They're three very good strikers. Why wasn't any of them signed two months ago though?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed JimTim.

We wave lovely balance sheets in the air (and I am pleased with that of course) but what is the point of that if all we are going to do is wait until the transfer window closes, discover we are way short of serious firepower and then bring in Uruguayan nobodies on pointless trials?

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldn't be waving healthy bank sheets if we paid the extorted transfer fees and wages some of the fans expect of the board .
Also I'm sure the ones ranting about selling Hooper (wanted to move south full stop) Wanyama (thought his next big move was to a middlin EPL team) and Wilson (homesick)were moaning about them not been big money signing when they arrived .
The situ is by their own addmition Celtic have to buy players improve their game and sell them on to survive .Survival of CfC must be top of the list .
Terrible result against Morton but looking at the bigger picture ahead of us will be some great nights in Europe another league title and I'm sure a good sfa cup run.
Give the new lads a chance to gel in as I'm sure you did the now "super heros, world beaters "Hooper, Wanyama co

Agree1 Disagree0

Some of us hope for a bit more than to just "survive" though TTS. Signing one of these lads this summer wouldn't have killed us. Not paying your taxes over a decade does that. Still missing the point.

Agree0 Disagree0

Playing in the group stages is more than surviving I would have thought JimTim.

There will be bad nights . Trebles happen but shouldn't be expected .How many managers anywhere are expected to win trebles? Seriously.

On a side note I wonder if the superstars now plodding the turfs in ELP were as loyal as some of the fans are to them would they have played in the game against Morton .From what I have saw before they have been posted missing in action in many non CL games. TTTS

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd also rather be looking for a new manager just now rather than a new player.

Iain

Agree0 Disagree2

Yes and we were linked to them in the transfer window and our manager and board did not buy them. The window is SHUT and we cannot buy them so this type of rumour is just mischief talking by papers etc

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian with the 2 i's away back to you own page, your team are dead, iain iain iain ha!, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

TTTS, small minded thinking. Key signing in the striking role was imperative. We needed to replace like with like as minimum. Anything less is regression. Don't start with ending up in liquidation. Senseless comparisons put forward by those of no business/commercial mind.
Great nights in Europe? Opportunity missed 2 wks ago with chance to make a real fist of qualification blown. As one of the masses keep taking the pr drugs. Stevo

Agree0 Disagree0

Like With like? This is the bit I don't understand.Hooper? That well known striker signed from the mighty, wait for it, Scunthorpe, replaced by Pukki from Schalke? Like for like indeed!
No business/commercial mind . I'm sure Lawell or Desmond haven't a clue, maybe you should e mail them over your master plan?.
Ah then a wee jibe about drug abuse at the end from someone who is the all singing all dancing MD of one of Europe's top ice cream vans?.
Enjoy your mushrooms. TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Missing the point YET AGAIN. "like for like" reference was a PROVEN goalscorer with a record to match Hooper. think if you look at Pukki no where near the same. He may develop but that is the keyword here "develop", same applies to the £2m spent on Balde, a player apparently no where near ready for the CL challenge let alone trusted domestically. There is a leaning towards finance over what's on the park, its obvious.Stevo

Agree0 Disagree0

The point is that all these fans with a hard on for Hooper need to realise he trotted down the road as fast as his wee legs would carry him to the mighty Norwich City, as will other players as they develop their game and their egos .

Celtic will continue to buy players from lower leagues and lesser world leagues develop them and sell them on whilst trying to keep the backbone of the team together .Hooper going will be a minor blip, Wanyama will hardly be missed at all given his performances outside CL .
Grant it Wilson was settling in nicely but he didn't set the world alight his first season(were you critical of him?) .All these places have been filled by if not as good better players .
People just need to realise that winning all games is a not given right and what is been done at the club is for the greater good of the club not to line directors and shareholders pockets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops forgot to sign TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't sign players that are gony be proven goalscorers for there new team. Pukki had a good goal per game ratio did he not. Am sure we have signed players who have been scorers in there league and failed in ours. All we can do is trust and give a chance to the players we do sign

Agree0 Disagree0

Kbarry, get a life! you are obviously one of the brigade to whom Neil Lennon can do no wrong and think any fan who does not rate him must be a ***. how sad.

We will not move forward as a team under Neil Lennon
