I used to play with One of the coaching staff at Celtic youths and I was chatting to him on sat night on the phone and he says don't get to excited about signings, there won't be any big or even medium sized signings this year. BR is to give most of this team s chance as the higherarchy felt the tactics used did not utilise the players potential already there. If BR takes up the option next season that's when you will see the signings, budget for this year is apparently 5m total. Plus any funds raised from sales or from the likes of wanyama money. Doesn't look too good from this info already.

I don't think BR wouldve took the job unless there was funds, can't see it being as low as that, i hope yer pal was on the wind up.

I'm not saying you didn't have a conversation, at all. But the thought of the "hierarchy" doing that, because they're the person employed to think about tactics. Stinks. I could be getting taken down the path, because every manager seems to say it, but I really can't see us sanctioning BR without some sort of guarantee that he can 'push the boat out' a bit.

Why would a coaching member of Celtic youths know what Brendan Rodgers transfer budget would be . Celtic like any club roughly of their size, I M O operate on a need to know basis . A youth coach would have no reason to know.

always amusing that people think a member of coaching staff would know "the budget", unless it was Brendan of course, there will be a decent pot for players, and maybe a bit extra if Dermot is willing to bankroll

He's not a youth coach mate read it and you'll see I played with him at youth level, and he's very much in the know, considering he is top 5 in the coaching for Celtic so have a good think who came through from youth level. This guy is my best mate was my best man, you heard it here first Dembele will not be st Celtic next season. I am a true Celtic fan and I want what all you guys want, best players possible but it ain't going to happen this year.

dermot has paid for 2 players I his time at Celtic Robbie and Roy Keane that's it, so don't expect him to bankroll anything bud, he is about the club On a sound footing, and that's the way he has always been. We have qualifiers coming up and nothing has moved yet, we do this year on year out, we drag our heels. Reason we won't spend the money simple. Look who we want as a CB Kolo Toure I mean come on.

I'm not saying your talking rubbish Smudge 1888 but I don't think Celtic would bring in BR and make him the highest paid manager in the history of Scottish Football and them give him a crap budget.
Do you honestly think the board will risk the Dark Side getting close to us this season.

A players father would probably know his son's intentions, telling anyone, before the club knows is a different thing . I said before that Celtic. like other clubs operate on a need to know basis and this "mate " s proof why that is so important . The man in the know tells his best mate and the next thing it is in a fan's forum .
