Apparently we rejected an opportunity to sign pantic (cb) from villareal, he was a deila target and spent last season at eibar on loan.

Another sign the gaffer is having a major say I recruitment?

26 Jul 2016 22:08:22
Good point kev83 he needs his own players. Can't say I'm overly positive about the defence tomorrow tho 🤐.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 01:23:37
What defence?

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Jul 2016 06:47:44
The thing is the players Deila actually wanted didn't turn out to bad. ie Sviatchenko, Guidetti.

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Jul 2016 08:28:22
So the player's who have done ok are the ones Ronnie wanted and the ones who were rotten were forced upon him? My god do you even believe this tripe?

Agree0 Disagree3

27 Jul 2016 08:37:35
It is a known fact that players where forced upon Ronny and Lawwell and Park hoped that a few would turn out to be players. so to answer your question yes I believe in that tripe.

Agree3 Disagree1

27 Jul 2016 11:36:51
Ye but Ronny aLeo wanted berget.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 12:28:11
Berget? The one who knocked us out of Europe? Doesn't seem too bad a player and had he maybe been giving time who knows what he would have done, would take him over Forrest and gms any day.

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Jul 2016 13:39:50
Berget actually looked decent on the 1st few games he played in and scored a few goals 4 us as well, after the games in Europe which came too early 4 him but Rd knew him and trusted him, knew how he played n that he could play in the system/ style Rd wanted. As dundee bhoy said he helped knock us out of Europe n I thought played well n worked his backside off, added to that he had a point to prove. People have short memories.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 14:31:02
What manager let's players be forced on him another example of Ronnies shortcomings.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 16:45:22
Unbelievable mally ed007 explained all this before, if you sign a contract and certain stipulations are included or if certain roles are done by other people I. e lawell n park Rd was just 2 turn down a dream job get real man. As for what kind of a manager accepts players forced on them? half of the overpaid premier league managers who have committees that sign the players not the manager which included br at liverpool funnily enough. Anyway hail hail c'mon the celts.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 19:24:08
Aye it is unbelievable maybe am old fashioned but a want my manager in full control feck committees, and that includes BR big jock would b spinning know his grave.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 19:43:22
So Ronnie among his other frailty's is a liar as well, he said he had final say on all transfer activity.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 21:46:44
Hey but mally times have changed and ed007 has previously explained how pistol Pete has been running thing's, I want the manager 2 have full say as well, I think the manager should have final say on everything if u read any of my posts if know I felt Rd and any Celtic manager should be the main man at the club not the overpaid guy in the board. At no point did I say I like committees.
As for your point fab1888 clearly Rd had a confidentiality clause therefore couldn't say anything about what was really going on, many clubs have these inserted so u can hardly have a go at him 4 that but as usual people will try and have a go at Rd, you'd think he hadn't actually won any trophies at Celtic the way people go on, no wonder he left if this is the crap u get for winning trophies.

26 Jul 2016 14:33:38
Kev . I was just thinking that myself mate . Calling Skinnybhoy come in mate your times up we need more info on transfer targets asap.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 15:22:05
Hes not good enough, we could do a lot better than patrick Bampot.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 15:49:36
Rite then hoops wots the craic wae signings then? We getting anyone else in? Or is nobody good enough for us so we're not going to bother?

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 17:05:20
Sorry lads not really heard anything about Bamford would expect him or Gnarbo to be a back up if Sinclair deal collapses which Celtic are still working to complete. Oconnell and Lustig CB tmoro prob 4-5-1 and Toure for home tie.

26 Jul 2016 17:06:19
Also heard that both Henderson and Commons going to Hibs.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 17:38:44
SB: I tell you what mate if Hibs get the 2 you mention that will be 2 very good signings for them, Henderson looks like a player in the making but again is stuck down the pecking order
Whats the score with Rogic as someone posted he's on his way out as well?

Commons is apparently Lennons no1 target and Henderson is another loan deal. Also heard about Rogic as apparently he can't last 90 mins. By the looks of it if your not in Rodgers first 11 you have a price. Cutting all the dead weight.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 18:50:54
Good to see a lot of dead weight moving on quality over quantity is the only way forward that's only my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 19:09:27
Shocking decision to let henderson go out on loan again. Bhoy should be further up the pecking order in my opinion.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 20:23:45
Tell you something else that is 100%. Sinclair is not in Glasgow just now he has just scored for Villa.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 20:43:37
A year with Lenny will do him the world of good, and Larbhoy, your opinion is spot on.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 22:12:59
Looking like Henderson isn't in long term plans. Far better than Allan.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2016 01:24:40
It's a complete waste of time sending him back to the championship with hearts and rangers not playing there. I don't even think sending him to a spl team is worth it. Yeah we could keep an eye on him with hilights and selfishly if it came to that I'd be happier as I could watch him play to see how he is progressing. If the lad has the salts for leaving home I think it would be good for him to play his football in Europe again.

27 Jul 2016 11:26:14
Sinclair deal not dead yet. And Toure has been registered for Astana return leg.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 00:38:41
Reports that big Erik is injured and didn't travel, anyone know if it's true? Not seen anything reported all day that he didn't travel, was only Ajer as far as i knew, leaves us in the sh1t if it's true.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

26 Jul 2016 01:16:20
Just read it there myself GunnieBhoy looks like Efe and Lustig at centre back, Johansen didn't travel either he must have picked up a knock against Leicester or he's getting sold to pay for Sinclair. The bad news is Bitton travelled lol.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 05:53:29
I hate to say it but that could be very bad for us, if ambrose has one of his bad games we could be out before the second leg . Makes it look much worse that we never got a centre back in before the weekend, we seem to have taken a big gamble regarding waiting and hoping our centre backs stay fit . Might have backfired.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 06:52:53
We can still sign and register a player today for the game tomorrow. So a new cb should be a priority.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 07:08:10
I'm sure eoghan o'connell is there? Played against Leicester. I'd give him a chance.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 08:22:00
Johannsons wife went into labour that's why he didn't travel, lustig and oconnel for me at CB.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 08:31:43
Janko Lustig O'Connell Tierney solid enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 09:44:50
We need to hope Efe has one of his good games, and he does have them in him, I'd play
Lustig
Efe. O'Connell
Janko Brown Bitton Armstrong Tierney.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 10:26:34
I can't see anyone being signed in time now due to it being a 6hr flight from the UK.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 13:40:46
Damn! If we had of known a wife in labour was enough to get a player out of a critical Champions League game Efe's wife would have been the most sought after woman in Glasgow 9 months ago!

Agree3 Disagree1

26 Jul 2016 14:03:24
I've a funny feeling tomorrow will be his last involvement in a Celtic squad B. R. i think his tea's oot and he'll be off, in fact i don't see Rodgers risking playing him, it could be a Lustig and O'Connell centre back partnership against Astana.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 17:22:24
mally the taklly did you say johansens missus in labour?
dae ye think she votit oot?
