You have to giggle that Rangers fans are on crying about celtic singing sectarian songs but by all accounts singing song about the I*A is not classed as sectarian as it is not based on religion and that is what sectarian means and celtic have banned the song not the government by law as the full leguslation has not been fully published yet . I*A songs are political not sectarian. Also that would mean the damn buster song rule britania would be banned under new leguslation as the scottish government has already published what they want banned i.e sectarian and political songs .

I for one agree these songs should not enter football ground or our streets but until there is a law against political songs being sung celtic fans aint breaking the law , they might be mindless morons giving our club a bad name but they are not breaking the law.

like i said celtic have banned the songs , next step the government. you can argue all you want but the law states that sectarian singing is songs causing offence by religious prejudice towards others there is nothing based on political views.

So where does Rangers being banned from singing God Save the Queen come into your non-sectarian/political argument come then? think you might find the government was looking at anything.song, flag, person or otherwise that might give rise to hatred and insight trouble etc., being it political, religious, bigoted, racial or otherwise
