Hearing that Stevie May is on a four striker shortlist.

I would hope so he leads the line very well and has an eye for goal guy can't stop scoring!

Actually wouldn't be disapointed very good record, young, decent potential, prolific and scotish, still think if we signed him we should sign a finbogason(very unlikely), aron johnson( excuse spelling. )

Agree0 Disagree1

I would be much happier with him than the thumb! Really like the look of the boy but he needs to play to develop and probably would have limited playing time. But Seamus u hardly ever get anything right!

Agree1 Disagree0

Seamus did your hear this in your head, ., .kbarry

Agree1 Disagree0

I think I would prefer billy McKay from ICT tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon indicated the other day that there are a couple of players in Scotland we're looking to be in for, at that point no contact had been made though, and we were going to make advances this week, apparently. For me, it would have to be May and Gauld.

Agree0 Disagree0

SOS, the thumb. Funking creased mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love this to be true, but with your track record Seamus, I won't hold my breath.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate your info is normally a bit ski whiff. Remember the other day. Ian L

Just spoke to Aron Johannson's agent. He said there has been no official contact between AZ and Celtic. He said, however, Aron and his agent are interested in a deal this window. I asked him whether AZ would be willing to sell this window and he said they would be but nothing under €4m. Judging by what his agent says, if celtic go in for him they have a good chance.

Is that you Seamus?

Long time reader, 1st time poster. ^lol

I would post a screenshot shot of the email exchange. But I don't won't to reveal the identity of the agent as it would be disrespectful to him.

Was it you perky that posted that drivel above? if so my apologies to the famous Seamus

I sent him an email posing as a representative of Celtic football club. Asking about a possible move this window. He responded saying "yes we are interested" plus he questioned why I didn't use Celtic mail that could mean he has had dealings with us in the past or regarding Johansson. 100% legit!

Agree0 Disagree1

Johannsson's agent is Magnus Magnusson. Spoke with him last summer about a potential move for Alfred Finnbogason. Back then he only said there was interest from Celtic but that was it.

Seamus you are a Mastermind when it comes to transfer rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Seamus are you ever right

Agree0 Disagree0

Never mind that, I just PM'd C Ronaldo on , who insists if Celtic bid £34.75 plus 2 bacon double cheeseburgers then he will sign for us in this window.
He told me that he is confident that he would be able to challenge Sammy for his place.
I mean if you a going to BS then BS in some style kid!

ShottsBhoy
That has to be the most "made up" post I have ever heard in my puff. Even in a jokey rumour how could anyone ever believe that Ronaldo could get a game ahead of Sammy??
The lad's good, but he ain't THAT good!

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

No it wasn't me Stevie. Hence the first time post comment. Where's my apology? :P

Agree0 Disagree0

You said it ChrisBhoy! Whilst Lenny has the reigns, Sammy can do no wrong! It must be his hair - feathered and lethal lol Also on a serious note, I hope we don't bid any more for Griffiths as he in NL words 'wouldn't get near our team' a season ago.

Apologies perkybhoy, it must have been Seamus and even he was too ashamed to put a name to it

Celtic will look to reignite bid for Alex Buttner if Man Utd are successful in bid for Luke Shaw. Fee would be £1.6m however stiff competition as a number of clubs chasing.

Thommobhoy

Believable6 Unbelievable24

That's a lot of nonsense. United paid £7m for him just over a year ago and he is there only cover for evra. Total nonsense and non starter.
Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Man Utd paid £3.9m for Buttner and are open to offers for the player. The only reason he is still at Utd is because the move to bring in Fabio Coentrao last summer collapsed.}

26 Jan 2014 19:04:41
no offence to the lad buttner but he ain't good enough. he has looked very suspect when I have saw him playing and imo plays like izzy did when he was just back from injury

taylor sinclair for me out of the names being floated about

Agree0 Disagree1

Buttner isn't good enough compared to a thistle player, behave urself

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2014 03:10:32
well you look at the figure posted here as 1.6 I think and the thistle lad at what? 100k? for a player that will just be cover a think the thistle player is by far the better option

buttner isn't good enough. not saying that taylor sinclair is but out of the two of them he's my choice

best option would be dundee utds lb but what am I talking about that would be too obvious. let's wait on the likes of wigan or west ham to snap up these young lads

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Buttner over Taylor-Sinclair every day of the week, Buttner would keep Izzy out the squad - not like that's much of a challenge mind ye.

word is that celtic believed they had a deal almost agreed for aron johannson of alkmaar only for them to up the price if true that could be what lennon meant as the deal that hit the buffers the fee is rumoured to have been at 4.5m alkmaar then said they wanted over 5m
Gally

Believable9 Unbelievable10

If we are willing to spend 4.5 million why we would we baulk at an extra 500k?

Agree0 Disagree0

May be down to how alkmaar conducted as a whole that saw any deal going astray
gally

Agree0 Disagree0

It was johanson, Alex O'Henley that used to work for Celtic tv had it confirmed at Easter road today 6 weeks celtic worked on deal for AZ to pull plug cause they couldn't get replacement in

Agree0 Disagree0

Niall h,,, because we done the same with janko giroud and finnbogason,,,,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2014 20:35:08
Niallh is that a serious question? We've been baulking on lesser amounts for decades. vin

Agree0 Disagree0

We were never going to spend 4.5 million in the first place. The question was more about that than anything else.

Deep river bhoy. The 3 you mentioned were never going to come. Janko promised his team he would stay. Giroud was a done deal but he chose another team. Finbogasson could have been a done deal but we were never going to spend the money Heerenveen wanted in the first place.
