I spoke to a colleague french Parisian workmate. they say that Psg are needing cash to overhaul some of the transfer from last season. They are minted but require clubs to pay top dollar in acquiring some of the talented players. Newspaper quoting the £9m in France.

{Ed002's Note - PSG need to prove they are not in breach of FFP and need to raise funds through committed sales in the coming weeks. This coulkd see some high profile departures.}

You could also argue that if they’re that desperate then they might take a quick £3m for Edouard as opposed to the £10m being suggested.

A doubt £10m would put a dent in it never mind 3. They're not skint, just struggling to meet the rules set.

{Ed007's Note - Selling Neymar should sort it out for them.}

Neymar wanting to move to Real Madrid? They won’t freak out over 9 million for Édouard when they could sell the likes of Rabiot for 50 million.

Exactly mate. I doubt this would have any impact on Édouard signing.

Neymar wanting a move to Real Madrid and I thought he was ready to join the Stevie G revolution, shucks.

My worry is that with all the media speculation around odsonne signing, is that a Premier League team will come in and bid for him and we obviously can't match it.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That can't happen if Celtic stump up the agreed fee before any deadline, any EPL club could bid £20 million and we could still buy Edouard for the agreed money. The only way out of it would be if PSG compensated us for breaking the contract but legally they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.}

25 May 2018 20:21:18
That's a relief then, thanks for clearing that up, If we do get Odsonne, with more game time I think he's a 20+ goal striker easily, mega bucks to be made from him.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I really like Edouard, he seems to have a lot more to his game than Dembele and if we have both of them and LG as our 3 strikers next season I would be over the moon.}

knowing our stinginess it will be another years loan.

Ed will be over the moon and the huns will be howling at it if we sign edouard. It's odds on.

Anybody that thinks our board are guilty of stinginess, must have difficulty recognising all the value for money we have had on stadium improvements, managerial and coaching expertise plus the quality of players on the pitch . We have been able to improve on all three fronts at the one time and plan continuous onward
three prong investment without director loans to be transferred to shares at some date in future .
You don't continue to grow and develop by stinginess or by wasting money unnecessary on old players who have already retired in their own mind as your major addition in any window.

If any club needs to be run properly then the should look at celtic blueprint. We are on the up an up and along as we continue to invest in the team then no one in Scotland will ever catch us again but we can't rest on our laurels though.

chris, lawwell's stinginess has held us back in europe for years, open your eyes.

Jamesbhoy67, Most fans with a basic understanding of financial and economical forecasting understand the tremendous work Peter Lawell did in the most difficult circumstances . Our major rivals set themselves a spending spree equivalent to over £10m each and every year over and above that they could possibly afford .
Thousands upon thousands of Celtic supporters put the most severe pressure on Celtic to follow suit . The MSSM created great fun laughing at P L 's biscuit tin mindset . Unfortunately Jamesbhoy67 some Celtic supporters were gullible enough to believe the MSSM instead of Celtic. P L continued to implement the Board strategy of keeping Celtic Football Club on an even course . Our Govan Rivals went
bankrupt and our Board's policy kept Celtic going from strength to strength .
Any man that doesn't appreciate the fantastic job Lawwell has done for us as C E has read the Glasgow Papers or listen to the experts on TV and Radio .
It was the Board's way or we would have been the same as Rangers.

If Armstrong, Biton, Alan; Cifci Roberts, Siviatchenko, Simonuvic Commper and Benyu all come off the wage bill, how many new faces do you reckon we will bring in?

Kouassi looks the part and hopefully Morgan and Chrisrie hit the ground running when given the chance. Tierney Rogic McGregor Ajer all
are on new deals and Griffiths (soon) Broony till he retires is great buisness. Hopefully big Eddie signs up and Dembele stays for a year or 2.

Bit early to write off benyu mate he’s never been given a run in the team.

However I think we’ll bring in 3-4 players. Rodgers seems happy enough to wait on the right players so don’t think we’ll see the days of 6-7 players being signed whilst he’s here. Plus the squad still needs trimmed.

Totally too early to write off Benyu. The boy has talent. Simo also deserves a bit of time. All of our players form
dipped. We still need a CB a RB though.

Can't write off Benyu yet, he's still young and with the help of Brendan and the coaching staff I think he will be a good player for us, he looked nice and sharp when we seen glimpses of him last season.

As much as I love lustig (I mean come on the guy wore a fecking beach ball ok his head and a coppers hat) he’s exposed big time in Europe up against anyone with pace! A rb with pace who can actually defend will be a good start in this transfer window.

If all the mentioned left then it be good to see a quality CB and RB added. McGinn would be an ideal replacement for Armstrong with the bait of Allan. Still CG being #1 would be a concern.

Can’t agree with the cg comment! He’s kept us in way more games than he’s cost us. In fact he’s very rarely cost us a game in his time here. A few mistakes but what keeer doesn’t?
