Can't believe Mulgrew is getting a game. Far too slow, can't pass the ball and an inflated ego.

I must admit I would rather Izzy played versus Mulgrew.
Izzy had a good game last week against Malmo. mulgrew was c**p at the weekend defensively.
Anyway, keep it tight at the back boys and use our speedsters ( Forrest, Johanson, Armstrong and Griffiths ) to counter
I think 2-1 Celtic on the night with us scoring first.

Excellent selection . A big full back and the other more noted for speed and attacking
Maybe a wee surprise for Malmo , Janko leaking up with Forrest on right wing .

Everyone behind the team .

Mulgrew over Izzy is a terrible selection, what on earth is Ronny thinking? Has he learned nothing from last seasons qualifiers? Mulgrew cost us against Legia last year and he could well cost us again. Not even Lenny(Mulgrews biggest admirer)trusted Mulgrew at LB and with good reason. He's far too slow and cumbersome to play there. I don't rate Izzy that highly but my goodness he's a far better option than Mulgrew.

I fear the worst now with Mulgrew playing and still can't believe he's been selected, he must have some dirt on Ronny to get selected because I can't think of any other reason why he's playing.

Ronny got the selection of Janko correct with Lustig injured as Ambrose is not a RB. I like the team with the exception of Mulgrew, if Izzy had started I would have been confident of progression. Now though, I'm sorry to say it but I fear the worst. We're going to get roasted down the left side with Mulgrew I feel.

Extremely more nervous then I was previously now.

C'mon Mulgrew, prove me wrong and have the best game in your Celtic career.

Mulgrew is a terrible decision. One nil down to a header from a corner. Zonal defence failing again. Still think we will do it. COYBIG

Not too sure now 😠 We are just not good enough to get to the champions league never mind thinking about competing in the competition. Time to loosen the purse strings. 💷💷💷💷💷

Take an attacker off when we're 2 0 down? I'm sorry but a defender should be off so we have more up front, more than a few problems

Yip: Mulgrew at the back was a rotten decision. Not much to cheer about there at all really.

Said he would have been a good bosman a while ago. I still think he'd be a good signing we could certainly do with some experience at the back.

It would be good if we could get a couple of experienced heads in to add to our talented young squad. He'd be a good signing as would Soriano as mentioned by another poster. Our strategy is to buy young players, develop them and sell them on but having some experienced players in the squad could help to develop the young players even further. Would benefit the team and the business model. Every signing we make doesn't have to be 23 and under!

LM I couldn't agree more. We already have a squad with some great young prospects. Just think that the team could do with an older head in each department, for now. Players who have played at a high level would also act as an extra coach to these young players like you say.

Karanka spoke highly of Amorabieta from the perspective of being a role model for his young squad. Bit surprised Boro aren't after him permanently he did well when he featured. Not sure what happened at Fulham but I suspect Mad Magath might have been it. This is a player who for the best part of a decade was one of La Liga's most impressive defenders, played a European final and in the Copa America. When Virgil leaves his would be a goid signing as we could bring him in, plus maybe young CB with pedigree and still have change. Or for the sake of our opponents in a lot of league games just have O'Connell play more.

Amorabieta, somebody new, Boyata and O'Connell. Lustig and Mulgrew can step in if needed and Ambrose can be punted. If we bring somebody else with a good delivery and set piece then Mulgrew can go too. That's the only aspect he has over the rest of our midfield now. And this line-up would make him 6th choice CB imo.

He was top scorer in the Europa League in his last season at Lazio. Started OK with Villa then got a bad injury which kept him out for months

Is this a transfer or loan? While ability is clearly paramount I presume he has the correct attitude and application to meet RD expectations. I for one felt Scepo could have done a job, talent wise, but for other reasons won't make it.

His career goal scoring record is on a par with Teemu Pukki's , why are we looking at strikers with a record of 1 goal in 5 games?

The season he scored 10 in 11 EL games he also got 0 in 20 Serie A games. He's 26 and has less than 50 club goals. No thank you.
