Said it before and will say it again, not trying to get McGinn was a mistake. He is better now than Kouassi, Armstrong and more reliable than Rogic and eventually could play the Broony role.

Top players from other spl clubs that have joined simply haven't stood the test of time. Brown, LG and SA (1 season) when on form have been exceptions. Our top players almost always are brought in from abroad. If the talent isn't there domestically, which it isn't, we have to continue to look further afield. I like McGinn but will he take this team up a level? I don't think so.
From our first team squad there could be GK departures. 3 defenders, 4 mf and 2 strikers. From the loaned out list Christie looks like the only one likely to get any game time.
To replace the likely departures 6 players at a bare minimum have to be brought in. For me they ALL need to be first team ready. 25M might do that. I'd say we won't go north of 12.

sure there has been as many failures but you can count as many failures we have signed from foreign leagues also.
