I know its not in our whole signing policy of buying players but i'd take Ricky Lambert in a heartbeat, tall strong and an incredible finisher. Very prolific and the sort a striker we need

I guess you enjoyed MOTD II then. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be annoyed if we paid say 4million? We could sign 2 strikers on John parks list for that and make profit on them! Bit of a daft idea to be honest SOS bhoy

'The incredible thing was the people, for an opposition player it was quite incredible, I have not seen a better atmosphere from the grounds I have visited' ~ Steven Gerrard

Gerrard is a no-mark thug and I wouldn't want him anywhere near CP.

I think its safe to assume Stevie G is a die-hard Liverpool fan. I’m not sure Rangers would even enter the equation.

We can also assume any testimonial will be at Anfield, so you won’t have to worry about him being at Celtic Park. Although, I can think of a lot worse midfielders than Stevie G!

Mrs E

Gerrard, rooney, carragher. all celts.

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't think it'll be a goer, the dates Liverpool put forward don't suit celtic seemingly. jj

Agree0 Disagree0

@TomTheTim how can ye say gerrard is a no mark thug lol what's he done 2 merit that comment? the testimonial isn't going ahead anyway due 2 the date would be 2 close 2 our champions league qualifier but it would have been at anfield anyway not parkhead

just a suggestion for a strong centre forward that would not break the bank.
the young lad Smith from Oldham, caused Liverpool and Everton loads of problems, I don't think he is an EPL player, but maybe a top quality championship player, but would run riot in the SPL, again age on his side at 23, so still some potential with the right coaching and development, can't see him costing more than 2 mill or even less

Is it just me or are we always very sluggish on these early kick off's? First twenty odd minutes we looked to be having one of those days before kicking on, thanks mainly to Joe Ledley, and getting control. Some good goals, hoops getting one and Stokes getting sharper, were the highlights. Best by a mile for me was Ledley. Never stops working, always looks to make a pass, this guy must be a joy to work with. His pass for Hoops goal was class, first time right on his chest, equalled by Stokes for Dylans, well taken score. With the benefit if hindsight was Lenny rash dropping Joe for Forrest v Juve?. got to say Ambrose concerns me a bit, this dwelling on the ball has to stop, and I wonder if the transfer talk is making him try and show up? Lead increased and job done though. A few more tough games to come but the double well within us if, and it's a big if, we start games the proper way. green jhedi

Spot on jhedi. Really thought Ledley should have been on in the Juve game. Would love to see him played more in the central attacking role, the best is yet to come from him I think. When Wanyama leaves I reckon we'll see Ledley and Brown striking up a great partnership. Ambrose is a weird player, he goes from cool and composed to complete distraction at the blink of an eye, I personally rate Rogne above him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on GJ, Ledley is always underrated! As for Ambrose? I've said a few times the guys a nightmare, looks ok at times in a bog standard league, accident waiting to happen! Take the money if its the same as what we paid, anything more is a bonus!

I think the start was mirrored by the gaps in the crowd as a lot of fans and players may not have been enthused by the visit of the bottom team?
Ledley is as steady a performer as we have had for years and deserved the arm band which inspired his 2 goals.
The GB were fantastic through-out as they kept backing the Bhoys even when Dundee caused us a few problems in the first half.
Ambrose is a law unto himself - obviously on a high from winning ACN and the Liverpool speculation and NL needs to knock the show boating and risk taking right out of him or punt.
The next four (away) games will be a challenge to our character and ability and we need to focus and go for it for 90 mins and no messing about.
We do play nice possession in front of the penalty area and I would like to see more pace and slicker touches and hopefully banging in the goals.
Must also say that Izzy is back to his best and Stokes not far behind.

ambrose is a liability and good on lennon for hooking him, we need a no nonsense cb and rogne isn't the answer either too slow, ball watches, can't pass ball out from defence move on

Agree0 Disagree0

I was actually disappointed, and thought we should show more killer instinct, 4 nil up against 10 men with 20 mins to go, should have been 7-0, and yes had a £5 on 7-0 @ 50/1.

How many times can ambrose give the ball away? Mis-hits, poor passes- the lot!

Jamie mac

Believable7 Unbelievable6

That's probably why he got hooked.
He is very good player, but a liability every game and the biggest problem is he refuses to learn from his mistakes.
The defence in general is very static and we could have lost a couple so far.
Hope Forrest and McGeough get at them in the 2nd half as these are the games we should be romping.
Hooper must surely get a goal today?

Well done green brigade today no chance of msm bringing us into the zombie singing debate

Agree mate. Good player, but he ain't no Pele. Thing is, you never know if good or bad effe is going to turn up. Good offer, I'd punt him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes been great all season. Lenny is right he s worn out and should be rested. He didn't slip up early in the season.

we are still crying out for a no nonsense cb, effe thinks he's maradona all the time good offer punt him

Agree0 Disagree0

Look here, the lad Efe Ambrose is quality. rough around the edges yes but a star in the making. Even the KOK had his bad days.

What are your opinions on squad rotation?

I know obviously playing as strong a team possible is the most important part, but I do feel the likes of Miku, McGeouch, Chalmers, Gershan and others in our ranks aren't getting the chance to show what they can add to our team. thoughts?
