First time poster here although I read the rumours and views on this site quite regularly, keep up the good work all!

After reading some of the recent posts regarding Stokes, it seems some people forget the amount of work he has done and goals he has scored for Celtic.

It would be interesting to see how many goals Gary Hooper scored that Stokes created/had some hand in or the amount of points he has won us. Kilmarnock last year anyone?

As for Tony Watt, great prospect and hopefully a lot more to come from him but for people to say "Sell Stokes we have Watt" is totally ridiculous.
I can't see Miku signing (hasn't been good enough so far regardless of some performances for periods during games and isn't worth the 6 million euro price tag that is floating about), Lassad looks like a Samaras type in regards to a creator rather than a finisher/penalty box player, to be fair though he hasn't really played enough to come to a conclusion.
That leaves us with Gary Hooper, who we have no guarantee will still be here in 12 months time and Tony Watt, a great youth prospect bursting onto the scene.

I for one think we have actually really missed Stokes this season, Gary Hooper seems to be missing him as well.

I think the priority for this upcoming transfer market is to get at least one decent out and out winger into our squad. We desperately lack width once you take Samaras and Forrest out of the team.

Gary MacKay-Steven from Dundee United could be a decent shout. He could turn out to be a cracking winger playing with a better team, also he fits in with our promising young players mould. {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site.}

Stokes is now got competition and this is maybe what that lad needs to show his class. I like him.

In january we need a midfeilder and cover/competition at the back.

For the last 16 of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes is good but he complains too much when things don't go his way and waves his arms and blames others. Miku is the better option but would give stokes another chance before selling him cause he did score the goals. {Ed007's Note - What makes you think Miku is a better option?}

Agree0 Disagree0

I shouted about McKay-Steven 2 years ago. I shouted big time when he had Bartley in his back pocket ref rangers game last year. The boy is a Scotland firecracker and would be a good sign. 2 years recommending.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon plans to hold signing talks with United States international striker Juan Agudelo.

The 20-year-old Chivas USA goalscorer, who has won 16 caps, has been training with Celtic during the Major League Soccer close season as he tries to secure a move to a European club.

Lennon said: "He has looked very good, we have been very impressed with him.

Mrs E

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Mrs E a website also saying we have a young 19yr old on trial from Ghana,Frank Acheampong.Macca {Ed007's Note - Get it right Macca lol It is Frank 'Messi' Acheampong.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed had to have a wee giggle when i read that on another website mate,ps hows the leg and did u catch the new Big Bang Theory on E4 last night,cant stop laughing at Ed001 whenever i see Sheldon.Macca {Ed007's Note - I've recorded it mate, he still takes the huff about that lol My leg is slowly healing now thanks.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright Ed - do u know much about this American boy? Is he under contract? Much are we talking? Ian L {Ed007's Note - I don't really know that much about him except what's on file Ian. Apart from all the boring background stuff about him it is showing that he is in the last year of his MLS contract so shouldn't cost more than training compensation. His current salary in the MLS is between $70,000 and $100,000.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok mate, time will tell. Thanks for info. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

I seen that about the young Ghanian, is thats a joke about Messi ? I never know with Celtic's signing policy, they dug out Wanyama... Mrs E {Ed007's Note - It isn't his real name but it is what he gets called.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Our signing policy appears to be find some1 who costs buttons, who has a lot of potential, we then sell for a healthy profit. {Ed007's Note - You reckon?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed dont mean to be rude but how long is that now your legs been healin you say slowly ffs mustve been a sore yin,.,.kbarry {Ed007's Note - I had an op last year mate and another one earlier this year. I am due at least two more. Happy days :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd hold this US guy really highly purely for the fact there sports stars all go to college before playing for a proper side so to be a striker at the age of 17 shows he has ability

Wonder if there is any chance of stokesy being back for Spartak?

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Hopefully not. I dont rate him and would rather see watt start

Celticthomas

Agree1 Disagree0

What do you want him back for ?much rather go with tony watt,infact i think tony watt should be starting

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will because hes not been playing for a while

Agree0 Disagree0

Celticthomas it is obvious that hooper is missing stokes cant put too much pressure on young watts shoulders as he could get burnt out

Ed is big samy out of the spartak game ? {Ed007's Note - Not as of just now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The only players who are currently injured or are nursing injuries are as follows,
Emilio-hamstring
Forrest-hamstring
Rogne-Calf
Brown-hip
Ledley-groin
Hooper-hamstring
Stokes-Long term
Sammi took a knock to the face but other than that has been patched Up and doesn't have any other injury worries.
Need to wait and see till the next 3 games b4 Spartak to see if anyone is definetely ruled out.

Celtic supposedly after polish
Wing sensation pawel wszolek of
Polonia Warsaw. Don't know if there is any truth in it but another unheard young gun on the cards? What do you think tims.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Why is every young player the old firm go after classed as a young sensation if these young players were that good then the bigger teams would snap them up. the polish player may be a good player but i doubt very much he is a sensation. i dont know why we don't take a punt on leigh griffiths i know things didnt turn out to well for him at wolves but he has been in stunning form this season and is out of contract at the end of the season so wouldnt cost much. i reckon him and hooper would be a terrific partnership. what you fellow tims think.

Agree0 Disagree1

We should never have let go of McGinn, good shout about Griffiths too, though I have a nagging feeling there is a lot of Deek Riordan behaviour traits there.

Agree1 Disagree0

Firstly there is no old firm and every young player we are linked with doesn't get called sensational . Wanyama , Watt , Mcgeough , weren't as I remember . McGinn was an ordinary player who has found his level at Aberdeen and Griffiths would just be the same . There's nothing wrong with being linked to players who are described as sensational , it shows the level we are aspiring to.........DH
