Not sure if anyone has mentioned this. But I've heard ivan toney is close to signing. he's been talking indirectly to the club through gavin Strachan and is interested. Rangers are said to be interested in him but his preferred destination is celtic.

Never seen the lad play but last striker we got from lower leagues of England done not too bad for us.

Can't see that being true because Barry Fry came out today saying they've reach a deal to sell him and its not us.

Heard he’s away to Brentford, not sure how true that is. fry is like footballs version of Del Boy trotter. im not sure how real our interest has ever been for this lad to be honest! Fry uses a lot of clubs to drum up interest in players!

Fry was happy to tell the media he had informed Celtic they had accepted a bid but refused to say who the club that had bid for him was. No doubt he is trying to start a bidding war. I’d avoid dealing with Fry at all costs.

Loved the BBC programme with Barry Fry years ago. Got the impression he'd do anything for a deal. This could be bluster altogether or he could be trying to force Celtic to move now. I haven't seen the guy play but we definitely need to have 3 strikers as good as Griffiths fit and raring to go by the time the qualifiers come.

Lyle Taylor any good? Seen his name mentioned as well as Toney. Walked out on Charlton there so not sure he is the kind of character you want around.

Bid accepted from Brentford, fry stated Celtic had asked to be kept informed but haven’t firmed up their interest as fee is probably too much for player in 3rd tier fair enough for £2m could have done a job but not £5m for back up.

Roma goalkeeper now being looked at started all 5 games if Sweden world Cup campaign. I don't watch football other than celtic so I don't know if he is any good or not but he is 30yrs old and went out on loan to some other Italian team from what I have read.

I know NL must have thought Forster would be happy to come back after such a great season, but the situation has left us on the back foot, with a distinct urgency and a pressure to get this position sorted.
Bain, may be seen as competent enough domestically, but he does not instill any confidence in me or the defense against decent opponents.
Hopefully, we will unveil a top class goalie in the coming days?

No more scary than a fit Bain for me Rich. We've got some fantastic youngsters so maybe one of the keepers is a bumper.
