Don't understand the mass hysteria surrounding Dembele. Not once has he said he wants to leave, the media has just been playing it's usual dirty tricks, trying to unsettle our players and undermining our club.

Did our assistant manager not come out yesterday and say Moussa has decided he wants to go? Hardly the media playing dirty tricks if it's a direct quote.

My guess is his agent will have offers on the table and his head has been turned by them. The main stumbling block will be the price tag we have placed on him and whether English teams will pay that for a player playing the the SPFL.

Do you always just repeat what Chris Sutton said and make out it's your own?

only pullin yer leg :p.

Rodgers interview was interesting. Said he wants players for Europe not just domestic. Sounds like a message for the board.

He has stated he wants quality, so why are the board failing to do so?

be an interesting week.

BR said Kouassi was signed for Europe. He has come nowhere near justifying price tag. We can't pay £3m for potential.

24 Jan 2018 22:32:01
Burns why would our management make the comments about him wanting to leave? Why does Moussa not come out and just say he wants to stay then the matter is finished?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Where did any of our management team say that? Give me a direct quote of Rodgers or Davies saying any such thing.....

24 Jan 2018 23:28:45
Ed can't remember the exact quote but Rodgers spoke to the Scottish Sun confirmed there had been enquiries about MD and it had affected him. Davis said similar. He may stay he may go. From how i interpreted the interviews with BR and Davis, and as he has not started in the last 2 games along with BR stating after the Brechin game that MD did not play because he wasn't mentally right, then there is speculation around him. If he wants to put it to bed just come out and say I am not going anywhere. Of course he does not need to say anything at all. Maybe the club want him to stay and so does he. If so then play him. Why put him on the bench? Do you think he will start against Hibs? I don't. Don't think he will even get on the pitch so something is wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So nobody has said Dembele wants to leave - apart from Celtic fans of course.}

25 Jan 2018 10:01:20
He is not much use if he does not feel able to play due to transfer speculation is he? Either get him on the pitch or find a home for him. He won't play against Hibs so when is his head going to be right.

Same as Saturday. Looks like Ralston just not fit enough yet. Hoping to see Kouassi at some stage.

How is God's name is Edouard starting again. Nothing personal against them lad but griff and dembele are streets ahead of him. Can't quite understand the thinking here.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Griffiths is getting over an ankle knock so I expect him to get some game time tonight.}

23 Jan 2018 22:46:50
Well thank god for griffs tonight. Allowed more space for the others around him with his runs and do what he does best score goal. He must be ahead of Eduoard now.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jan 2018 12:01:02
Edouard has never been ahead of them, BR knows he needs a striker now or in the summer he is merley finding out if Edouard is good enough and to find out he had to give him a run of games.
IMO he is not.

my mate just told me that word on the street is Stoke, Everton and Palce are all bidding for Mousa D. Any truth in this?

Hearing much the same here too, what will be will be!

23 Jan 2018 15:55:51
if he has to leave then having a few clubs seeking him is only good news for us. It has to be a minimum of £20m and a 10-15% sell on.

Anything less is bollocks.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 17:03:03
If any of them offer 15 mil then take it, his head is up his arse now so say thanks and ship him out, he his no good for us now. We have Griff who can put the ball in the nett just as regularly as MD, the only difference is LG wants to be here, and after a 40 goal season had every right to be tetchy when left on the bench.
None of the big boys in Europe have even looked at MD this season so 15/ 20 is a wonderful price.
Sell on % is difficult, but at least we have a good commercial guy in Lawell who will work his chops off to secure a deal, whatever you might say about him regarding spending makes no difference as he certainly knows about earning money for CFC.

Agree2 Disagree3

23 Jan 2018 17:25:20
Why sell him when he is out of form? Are we saying he won't regain it? I don accept that. He will regain his form and his price will rise. Selling him now at the stage he is playing, is like trying to sell your house before you put the roof on.

If we get £20m plus the 15% maybe. If he goes and starts scoring for fun then he will be sold on for double that in the summer.

We need to stop acting like spivs and realise his stock has fallen and if we wait we can get a lot more in the summer.

We have no need to panic, we can afford to keep him. He might want to go, but if it doesn't suit us, ten sorry but no. if he wanted a better team to come in the he is to blame for that. Giving him the second half of the season to attract the bigger clubs will be achieved by playing to his potential. If he does that he gets the move he really wants and we get a minimum of £30m and a sell on.

Some of the noises from our management team make it sound like now might be the time to cash in. We'll need a replacement other than Griffiths if we want to have any joy in Europe.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 17:56:17
If we are going to sell the most important part of the deal is the sell on percentage in my opinion if he goes down south and hits good form and or gets a call up to the French team his price Will skyrocket eg van dyke so we should push for the highest percentage we can get.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 18:31:34
We don't really need the cash although am not niave enough to know if daft offer comes in they'll take it but there might be more money to be had at the end of the season if he finds a bit of form.

When's young Ralston due back Ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He's due back anytime, Kev. He's been back training for a couple of weeks now.}

23 Jan 2018 14:12:49
That's good to hear. I really like the bhoy and have quite high hopes for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Me too and having him back will help keep Lustig on his toes.}

23 Jan 2018 14:53:33
I'm hoping he will start tonight. He needs to push on now and make that position his own the same at KT did.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2018 15:57:57
I hope he does but I just don't see it. I think we need better in order to move up. He's still young and very raw and my worry is its too soon for him. As I said I hope I'm wrong but I haven't seen anything to make me think we have another Tierney.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Jan 2018 16:15:33
I thought he did fantastically well against Neymar. He might not be as pacey as KT but he gives us strength watch him attacking or defending corners he attacks the ball like his life depends on it. I think we have another star in the making with Ralston he just needs a run of games and i would say tonight is a good time to start him.

23 Jan 2018 14:57:13
Ed I truly believe if he hadn't of got injured then he would have been 1st choice RB by the end of the season with lustig playing the same roll Izzy played.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if that would have happened this season, Kev. Rodgers does like Lustig, both on and off the field, but he's going into the last year of his contract this summer and if he has a good World Cup it could be the ideal time to move him on and get a decent fee.}

23 Jan 2018 17:26:08
I think lustig looking to stay and maybe finish here.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's not the player he was - even Rodgers must see that - and I can't see Lustig being happy not playing regularly. I've not even heard any murmurs about him getting a new deal.}

24 Jan 2018 11:56:41
He's getting worse as time goes by!

Cheers SP.

23 Jan 2018 14:55:20
If Hendry is worth 1.5m then we should bid 300k its semms to be the done thing nowadays then unsettle the player by putting it all over the papers then say nah we can't afford him can we get him on loan lol.

23 Jan 2018 15:19:34
Haha good one Rayman.

23 Jan 2018 16:04:37
I would drop McGreggor and play Kouassi. I like him very much and Callum has been poor of late. I would also gofer Griff and give him the chance to prove he should be playing, if he hasn't scored up until 60mins give young Eduoard a shot.

Same old from uj. It's not us that are whoring our full squad about looking for teams to help pay the wage bill 🤣🤣🤣 we haven't been humiliated because we can't afford the wages ( pena, now alves) being forced out . Plus Accrington Stanley owner speaking out about how you tried to lower a development fee 🙈🙈🙈

We haven't been humiliated by trying to buy players who we can't afford any payment till may?

Did you see our accounts with healthy profit margins? As opposed to yours which state yous need 4 million in loans just to hobble like a wounded animal to the seasons end 🙈

Yeah we are skint mate 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
