Bsh!t, the only way i would get rid of hooper is if we sign rhodes FIRST.

I smell a rat. To suggest this nonsense you must be masquerading as one of us.

I think this could be some who used to support rankers and now follows the tribute act, I cant believe it's not rankers? Cmac.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure this guy used to post using green hornet

Was always whoppers he posted, could believe Hooper may leave but for that price?

no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no there's no chance

Or should that be there's no rangers?

Probably both ha ha

Jamie Mac(good try sevconian)

Agree0 Disagree0

I think greentambourine is making the point that Ki was allowed to leave for a low fee so why not Hooper? I read it as a bit of sarcasm aimed at the board.

Agree0 Disagree0

£3 million ? ha, at least put in a decent value for a top spl, champions league performer. away back to the sevco board with you

Seen it reported on a Japanese website and retweeted by Celtirumours on Twitter about a potential loan deal for Borrusia Monchengladbach's 22 year old attacking midfielder, Yuki Otsu? Scored against Spain in the Olympics, but I dunno how reliable it is? The only site to run the rumour. Greg

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Murphy has a better goal scoring record than him. Please dont sign him, just got rid of a lightweight and bringing another in, Bad management
john88

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see this happening, we're fine in the whole of midfield IMO. Need to bring in a goal scorer, cb and possibly a left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

His agent is quoted as saying Celtic are in negotiations. This lad looked class at the olympics. Perhaps the nippy, dynamic forward with that bit of guile the team has been lacking of late; although we all saw what the re-introduction of Forrest brings to the team against Helsingborgs. Perhaps Forrest just needs to play more. Anyway, if this deal flowers into a permanent move for the lad then i'm all for it, looks a decent bit of business.

Agree0 Disagree0

A left back? With Izzy, Blackman and Twardzik at the club!

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Dazza, the boy Yuki Otsu isnt a left back, hes an attacking mid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Dazza was responding to the post that said we need a lb

does anyone have an idea what pot we will be in if we manage to get through the home leg vs helsingborgs.i know it hasnt been decided yet but there must be a way to figure out if we could sneak into pot 3?any information ed?

MK BHOY {Ed007's Note - All the pots apart from Pot One have still to be finalised. There is no way of working it out until all the ties are decided. It has not been decided whether Borussia Dortmund will be in Pot 3 or 4 and we are rated higher than them, that gives you an idea of how complicated it all is.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Celtic may be in Pot 3 or 4. Signifigant matches, based on first leg results. Borussia M v Kiev? Malaga v Panathinaikos, Basel v Cluj, Limassol v Anderlecht. Celtic currently 3rd in Pot 4, so 3 of the 4 "seeded" teams need to go out. Kiev look sure to make it through. Basel look likely to go out. Panathinaikos would seem likely to fall as well, although Malaga are selling alot of players. It would appear that the Anderlecht game, 2-1 down with a Home tie against Limassol to go. Watched the first game and I would think this game is very much in the balance. Anderlecht did not look great.

Agree0 Disagree0

Likely Pot3 Teams: Ajax, Juventus, PSG, Galatasary, Lille, Fenerbahce, Udinese, Anderlecht
Pot4 Teams: Celtic, Dortmund, BATE, Nordsjælland, Montpellier, Cluj, Malaga, Zagreb/Maribor.

If Anderlecht go out, Celtic would move into Pot 3 and Limassol would be in Pot 4.

Hi Ed. Just wondered if you could shed any light on this situation? I am a season ticket holder and sit in Area 115 in the Lisbon Lions Stand (the buffer zone for Old Firm matches). This year I payed for my ticket assuming that Rangers might not be in the SPL. I understand that other season ticket holders had to pay around £30 extra to get the OF match on their ticket. After complaints, Celtic decided to effectively reimburse supporters by giving them £30 in gift vouchers to spend in the Celtic store. Now what's to say that those vouchers could be sold and the person could get their £30 back. Today I received a letter from Celtic telling me that the Dundee game in September is not included on my season ticket and they are asking me to stump up an extra £30 if I want my seat. So on the whole, everyone that did pay for the Rangers game on their ticket has now effectively payed for a normal season ticket (not including the Rangers game) and I am being asked to pay an extra £30 on top of the normal season ticket price. How on earth can Celtic justify this decision? {Ed007's Note - I have no idea how they can justify it. I have said for years that selling ST's for the Rangers end would somehow cause problems and now it has. Tickets for there should have just been a public sale for home matches. The carry on with the kids tickets and the fact it took the Sunday Fail to get involved was a PR disaster for the club IMO, they seem to have been stumbling around a bit over ticketing since Rangers demise.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Thanks Ed. I'm just absolutely fuming with this and Celtic can be assured that I will not be attending that game. {Ed007's Note - I'd think there will be a few people thinking the same way.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel we are being ripped off and getting nothing in return i.e. quality signings LK

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet another pr disaster coming from cp,it appears to be one after another lately.
davy

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm in a similar position with my sons ticket but haven't heard anything from Celtic. I have a full ticket but only got a £50 ticket for him, a) because I didn't want to take a 5 year old to that game and b) because I didn't want to pay the extra £79 for the privilege.
So I assume that he won't get to go to the Dundee games which is fair enough. But those that did buy a £129 ticket for their kid will get £30 back in vouchers effectively meaning that their season ticket was £99, i.e.£49 for two Dundee games for kids. If I buy my son individual tickets for those games I'm sure it won't be for £49.
Anyway I won't be losing out but others will and that doesn't seem fair to me.

Skelly.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the difference between an old firm ticket and a 'non' old firm ticket is more than £30 though! I think you might be doing ok out the deal.

Skelly

Agree0 Disagree0

The reduced price tickets are more than £30 less expensive than the others. We are in times when we need to be prepared to dig deep to support our club. I have yet to hear a newco fan complain about paying xy or z to watch a far inferior product, please don't give them the moral high ground! Faithful through and through, please remember this or we could implode! Conversley I have not received a voucher and I believe that these were exclusively for kids books.HH
Fiddle

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it all season ticket holders that get it and when is it we'll get them

Agree0 Disagree0

The only people who will receive £30 vouchers are kids who paid £129, booked before 4th July. I am sure kids will not be charged £30 per ticket to watch a Dundee, therefore those who paid only £50 have scored compared to the folk who paid £129.

Agree0 Disagree0

TBH I would prefer to get my £30 back in cash and not vouchers as I have already bought new tops.

Apparently Neil Lennon is in talks with Martin O'Neill about bringing Frazier Campbell on Loan to the end of the season.

Believable9 Unbelievable18

Why? This is pointless! We've got two strikers who scored 50 between them last term and now we're supposed to be in for a guy who has never been a proven goalscorer-ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a good goal scorer if he could stay away from injury he scored for fun at man u reserves

Seen today that Connor Wickham from Sunderland could be available for season loan... Could be worth a shot at Parkhead. What do you think ?

Believable13 Unbelievable16

No, we need someone more in line with Janko. A bit of experience, possibly played in Europe. Or at least an experience of playing first team football at a decent standard. His scoring record is nothing to get excited about. For me, he is no better than what we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are 90 mins from playing CL footie. Could be up against Barca, Man City, or Real. And we you want to take a chance on a kid that cant get a game for a mid table at best Prem team. Come on. More quality needed

Skooter

Agree0 Disagree0

There is some pish rumours flying about and we are signing 3 non goal scoring forwards, if that happens I WILL WALK AWAY (lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a traget man it is so obvious any other opinion is daft, this is a tactical signing if true, sammy cannot hold it up, hooper can but cannot win it against good centre halfs. Simple as that remeber when we used to play jarosik when we struggled up front we are in the same position with no-one to fill it, predict Mulgrew to play as a forward at one point this season just to hold it up for possession.

Agree0 Disagree0

Connor wickam is terrible i hope he doesnt come, got to be the worst forward in the premiership wont do anything. daryl murphys beter than him and hes rotten aswell

Ed, how come we sold Ki for only £6M?
Look at the fees for Allen (£15m), Jarvis (£10.75m). Before anyone starts about playing in EPL and having a track record at highest level
that doesn't apply to Ki. 23y/o, 47 caps, performed at Olympics, regular for Celtic. Just feel we've sold ourselves short yet again. Chairman at Spurs and Wolves constantly play hardball n generally get the best deal for them, we dont. Simply grasp the first whiff of money offered.
Second question, how much debt do we actually have and will have at next round of figures to be released? Very disappointed that again we've been misled about the future, signings etc. The usual spin doctoring by PL when renewals due and yet again nowt! Stevo Dundee

Believable16 Unbelievable5

Celtic are allowing the EPL teams to take the proverbial. We did not have to sell Ki for peanuts. Im raging.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree 100% mate. it absolutely sickens me that we have to accept lower bids for players. i bet ki leaves swansea for £15m next summer or summer after even if he doesnt improve any in EPL. the only way we will ever stop this is if the board keeps rejecting low bid after low bid and hold out for more respectable offers. the board are too soft, i know we need money but not not that much to let our better players leave for peanuts

Celticthomas

Agree1 Disagree0

Come January would he not have been within a year of his contract expiring? Plus, if all goes well for Swansea the fee rises to over £8m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevo,

Although the fee seems a bit paltry compared to the ones mentioned previously for Ki, I can assure you that Celtic will have inserted clause into the contract for a percentage of any sell-on fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

6m for Ki is great money, he is not even a first pick for us.
Brown, Ledley, Kayal, Wanyama are all far ahead of him,he has not really lived up to expectations and Im not sure how long left on contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on bhoys is all about the EPL,these guys have done at least something in that league,Ki hasnt ,if celtic got KI WANYAMA ,KAYAL FOR PEANUTS,BECAUSE OF THE league they came from its swings and roundabouts.Although if we pumped Barc,Real,Man u,Man c,etc on our way to a C.L. VICTORY,Iam sure it would be 15,mill to 25 mill.............. jimthetim.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Could have got more but i think its the extra part of the deal. apperance fee plus sell on that made us sell for 6 mil. Also still time to work on some quality transfers. I for 1 am glad we didnt go out and just sign players to please the fans. With our transfer policy and the players that we r now bringing in I expect quality and it sometimes takes time. I do not want to see any more murphy, bangura players just because the fans put pressure on the club. Trust the club and stay patient. All will be good in the end. CL here we come back where we belong.

Skooter

Agree0 Disagree0

6m is pretty good business. He plays a lot and is a classy player but when it comes down he's a squad player for us and he's no Aiden McGeady or Alan Hutton, i.e. outstanding talent worth holding out for 9 or 10M for.

I'm sure there will be hefty sell-ons as well. And EPL prices are over-inflated, everyone knows that. I'm sure we paid close to 2M for Daryl Murphy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan hutton- 'outstanding talent'? just got back off all fours on my living room floor laughing.

Good morning ed! Iv been noticing that bahrudin atajic has scored a good few times for the under 20s with another two last night I was just wondering if u could give me some info on the bhoy? Things like what type of forward he is and what might be expected from him as I'm not really up to date with all our youth players but I keep seeing his name on the score sheet and rave reviews about him

Thanks Brian aka sos bhoy {Ed007's Note - Atajic can play as a striker, just off the main striker or as an AM. I've not seen any the youth matches recently so I can't comment on how close I think he is to getting a first team chance but I do know he is highly regarded by the coaches.

Hi Ed, long time reader and I have to thank you for such an amazing site, many hours have been wasted on the toilet pan at work reading it :D can anyone tell me what happened with the Barca link up? Was highly publicised at the time but now no mention.

Cheekybhoy {Ed007's Note - Thanks very much. The link up with Barca just seemed to fizzle out.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Too much information but you are right, great site. I have to say all the other sites connected to this one are equally good. I have learned so much in relation to football management its brilliant. The demise of RFC the CVA's etc and the goings on in other leagues - just fantastic. Keep it up all eds

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because I read on the toilet pan at work doesn't mean I'm doing the toilet, there's such a thing as a top lid you can put down and a favourite past time of mine called skiving :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't anyone notice you taking your laptop into the lavvy? Might look a bit dodgy....;-)

The link-up probably fizzled out because the kind of player barca could offer would not thrive in the blood-and-guts, kick-and-rush spl (viz Crosas). I believe MON was offered Saviola but since he isn't a 7-foot-tall hammer-thrower, that one fell through. He went to Monaco instead and got to the CL final... {Ed007's Note - There is a mobile version of the site lol.}

Awright Ed - can you confirm the transfer deadline date for the group stages of CL please (not that I'm jumping the gun) Reason I'm asking is historically Celtic have always shall we say take their time over concluding deals. Also I wonder if the result last night was anything to do with Neil spending a bit of time in the special one's company in America. Who better to learn from. Can't help but like Mourinho think he will be the greatest manager of all time. Ian L {Ed007's Note - The deadline for the Group Stages is 1st of September.}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Jose is a great manager but the day a celtic fan comes on here and says that he is the greatest manager ever is one sad day ferguson is a better manager and he quite happily admits he is no where as good as jock stein the great one

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't help but like mourinho? If it wasn't for him we'd well you know his porto side and he was our nemesis,(3 diff occasions) i despise that man,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree1

To be fair to the OP he did say he thinks he WILL be the greatest Manager of all time.

Richybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to hear you are struggling with your reading theses days...Will be the greatest manager of all time, when his time comes to an end as a manager...like Alex ferguson time is coming to an end (few years maybe) also don't be shy leave your name after your post. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho was the difference in Seville. Fact! Can't believe some of us haven't moved on from that night....our manager is a supporter of our club, is he still holding a grudge? Doesn't look like it to me, he wants to spend time in the Jose' company to pick his brains....and rightly so. Who better to ask for advice. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry the janny
i dont care who NL takes advice from as long as we keep on winning as for seville it was a good memory in the past and should remain in the past , remember we conducted ourselfs brilliantly that night .. we are the best supporters in the world ... fact ... ps .. i hear the big goalkeeper that night was at the olympics with Portugease synchronised diving team

Hi ed just a wee complaint here, I signed up for the home ticket scheme when I bought my season ticket. I received my helsingborgs ticket through the post on Thursday and on Saturday I got a letter from Celtic saying that they tried to get money out of my bank account and failed. I never got a letter from Celtic saying when the payment was due and now I have a £30 bank charge so I decided to go to the ticket office today to try and sort it out.Celtic said
that they didn't have enough time to send the letters out and that they posted the details on twitter therefore they feel it's not there fault so they will not pay the bank charge. Just to see what your thoughts were on it mate. Btw I don't have twitter!
CM88 {Ed007's Note - That is shocking. There are a few of things that heave went on at CP recently that are public relation disasters.}

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Ask your bank if they would delete charge. I work in a bank and generally we would as a 1 off

Agree0 Disagree0

WTF is twitter? Everything these days seems to be done via this nonsense website that only seems to cause bother. Disgraceful.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright mate i had the same thing only i never signed up to the home ticket scheme and they went in and tried to take the cash the same day the ticket came ,i phoned them and they said i had signed up for it even thou i never i had it out with them and they told me to send a letter to the ticket office and they will try and deal with it, but i aint holding my breath for my bank charge money, all i can say is shocking shoking .

Agree0 Disagree0

Take a letter from Celtic explaining the situation and the bank will delete the charge mate............green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a season ticket holder and went to collect my ticket for helsinborg game less than 24 hours after tickets went on sale only to be told my seat had been allocated to someone else when i asked why the reply was did you not get a letter its first come first served ,i was aware of that but less than 24 hours is a bit harsh i want to complain but feel its a waste of time

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly write to your bank branch manager and explain situation - they are usually sympathetic re: refunding charge and then send an e-mail/letter to Celtic too.
I have heard a good few supporters have had one grievance or another and if they all tell the club how they feel; they should get the message, as the support are the life-blood of the club and should not be taken for granted or treated shabbily.

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

2 Things - Most banks have a no quible policy and will refund the charge if you ask nicely. Also Im sure for to be able to debit your account, 14 days notice must be given or a pre agreement signed
