Don't know how you havent heard about it.It's all over Sky sports news that Lennon has declared on interest in the fat ****. I hope it's not true.

i hope im being too cynical but transfer targets mentiond , diawara 3-4 mill rhodes 3-4 mill, bas dost 4-5, mill. boyd -free which one represents best value to board {Ed007's Note - Since when was Boyd a transfer target?}

Ed Lennon said today that he would be interested in signing boyd! {Ed007's Note - You should maybe read what he actually said.}

He said :-
He is a proven goalscorer and a player with a great SPL record," Lennon said on Thursday. "So yes, I would be interested in him.

"We are speaking hypothetically of course. But no, I don't think it would be a problem he has already played for Rangers."

Mrs E {Ed007's Note - It was 'He is a proven goalscorer. I don't know how much football he has played of late but he is a player with a great record and any player like that would interest me.'}

I wasnt saying he was , but the three we would like cost big money and at this moment he is available for nothing and we have history of picking the cheapest option {Ed007's Note - I honestly can't see him as being an option.}

I would be of the opinion that any of the other 3 mentioned would improve Celtics squad in terms of providing something different. I would also be of the opinion that Boyd would offer nothing to Celtic as he is inferior to any striker already at the club and there are already two goal poachers in Stokes and Hooper who are much better players.

We will not buy 3 strikers in january. {Ed007's Note - We know that. We also won't sign Messi, Ronaldo, Paltini, Zico or Boyd.}

If you were to buy Boyd you would be buying him on the basis of his form from two years ago. Both OF teams have done this in the past Beatie and Ljnberg being two recent examples neither of which work out. Although you could say that both Sutton and Hartson were also bought on history rather than current form. But clearly Boyd like the first two is unlikely to be physically at his peak. I would say no

I stay near where boyd was brought up,know who is friends are and trust me,he would never sign for us.People will mention mo johnston but this will never happen

To the guy who says it would never happen, the only language footballers understand is the language of money!
If the dough is right he would sign( would not be in my team but he would sign) he went to turkey after miller told him what a disaster it is becuase of greed, he left the shame for more money nothing else and he will sign for whoever offers him the most money.
I think it will be jelavic away for several million and boyd in for free if his contract is void, but only because theres will be his best offer, he proved he cant cut it in the english championship, cant do it abroad, isnt really wanted( i hope ) by us, so there 12 or 14 grand a week will be snapped up by his greedy little hands.

This was posted on this site three days ago by myself. Boyd will listen to Lennon and is keeping an open mind about his options,that includes signing for Celtic. Lennon has a genuine interest in Boyd and as has been said Boyd is prepared to listen. Newcastle are still interested in signing Gary Hooper in January and are ready to test Celtic with a £6.5 million offer,hence the Lennon interest in Boyd

Boys he would be disowned, trust me! im all for goalscorers at parkhead but this is a non-starter!

Boyd never gave celtic supp any gyp when playing against us n if he scored against the dark side to win it would be ok.BUT..he is a real bluenose as is his fam n friends i think lenny wz at the noiseup

Man utd,liverpool,arsenal,amongst others showing strong interest in Wanyama Daily mail england.Really woudnt like to lose him as he has great potential and has been one of our best players this season.

Why would any of them want too go there, they are relegation candidates if they have any ambition whats so ever both players will go to bigger and better clubs.

I personally would rather see us do everything we can to sign jordan rhodes.he is too good a player to miss out on.if we could get him for 3-4 million and has 2 or 3 good years with us we could treble or quadruple in profit

We could do with a centre back defo but we really do need a different option up front, if Hooper gets injured who will score our goals apart from Stokes but he's now injured and goes thru a barren spell quite often? Doubt Rhodes will come here now, think we've missed the boat there.

Agreed! rasmussen is a battering ram but the training rumour wont go away
