Hiya..as a female fan, can you confirm we can still add to the squad this week to play Sion ? Am a tad worried about this game I hear we could have Hooper & Wilson back... And, just how bad is Kayal's injury ?

Kayal,hooper and wilson should all be fit to play sion but players can be added until then (hav 2 be registered be4 though)

You cant add any new players for sion game the deadline was last weds

Why would Cahill leave the EPL for the SPL - or any player ?

He would be well at Dunfermline or aberdeen I think if Celtic signed him there would be an uproar and rightly so ,check out league 2 on BBC football site and tell me u honestly think someone from this

He's a natural scorer with an awesome record of goals per game, do you think all players start at top academys some come through the ranks and lower leagues on ability. Was it not CM Smith you were after not a month ago who no one had heard of and you were really excited. If the old firm go out of europe on Thurs night you will not sign anyone but players from league two standard (which is probably on par with SPL) so i suggest you get used to it for the forseeable future. Yakubu is out of favour at Everton and is available for £2.5-£3 million and i think he could be an ideal signing for us. Powerful, fast, good scoring record. Wages maybe an issue.

And the fact Celtic obviously dont have 3mil to spend may be another problem

What's the latest on the kid Feruz? Has he officially gone? Or is there a chance he might stay?? {Ed007's Note - I don't think it is official becuse he cant sign pro contacts with anyone until he is 16 (10th September.}

He can't actually sign a pro contract with Chelsea until 10th September next year Ed as you cannot become a professional until you are 17 in England {Ed007's Note - I stand corrected.}

This laddie owes Celtic big time . I would be totally miffed if he signed a deal knowing that we would get next to nothing for him . If he wants to go we should be making it tough for him .

The lad owes Celtic big time? for what for helping him and his family appeal against deportation. This is what our club does and its part of why were the greatest club in the world. If he does not want to be part of that, or a club that raised thousands for his native Somailia at the JK testimonial, then he's entitled to walk away if he wants. Yes I hoped he would be something special for us. But if his hearts not here then were better of letting him go. Also I cant help but feel that he is not quite the world beater that we think. I'd give murphy a run in the team...he looked decent in pre season and he's more direct than sammy, and can actually win a ball in the air When was the last time celtic were a threat from corners??

If anyone desevrse a run in the team it's Rasmussen. The guy never did anything wrong on the field when he played.

I think both sides of the old firm need to realise that Scottish football is in serious decline. It has been 13 years since the national team made a major tournament. And unless Scottish football gets some major investment, seeing our clubs in major European tournaments could be a nothing but a memory. When We got to the UEFA final we had the likes of Sutton who we paid £6m for. These days £3m is a big spend, meanwhile teams in the ingerlish championship are spending £6-9m on players. This doesn't excuse our bad performance against st johnstone, but when it comes to Europe, what can you do when you play in playoffs against teams like arsenal for the champions league, or eastern european teams who are spending millions. If no spl teams get into the Europa league group stages this season, we will continue to fall down the rankings until we are unseeded and then we really will struggle.

We have one week to go before transfer window shuts so at least we have a chance to get a decent striker and cb in, the defeat against st J might be a blessing in disguise as we now know that the fringe players arent up to the job ,I know some fans knew that already but maybe the board thought we where better than we actually are so Dermot get some loose change out and give the best supporters in the world what they deserve HH

About 4 years ago the board had a choice to make, rangers were finished fiancially, they couldve virtually guaranteed top position and champs league football for years, they chose to close the biscuit tin and kept it shut thus ensuring financial stability, now theyve got the same chose to make, but with the season ticket money already banked what incentive is there for the board to let the moths out? theyve never done it before...

SkySports are reporting that Liam Ridgewell is being linked with Celtic and Everton. I live down south now and have seen a lot of this guy over the last 5 years. He is a tough tackling leader and just the sort of player we need. He was captain at Birmingham, not sure if he still is.
If he has the option of going to the PL, then I think we will struggle to get him, however there are reports that Everton are totally skint which may help us.
However I too used to being let down these days and fear this signing is merely another one we will miss out on.

Just saw on ssn that Celtic and everton are interested in liam ridgewell. He would be a welcome signing. Question though is he cup tied for Europa if he signed?

Wouldn't think so. We wouldn't be able to play him on Thursday anyway as forster was our wildcard but if we get through to the group stages then it wouldn't be a problem regardless if he's played in the qualifiers for another team.

Read today Lennon wants a new striker. Before anyone gets their hopes up he said this in January aswell and look what happened.

Lenny's probably gave a lot of recommendations its the board that need to sort themselves out and finance it.

Heard a RUMOUR yesterday that there will be 2 signings imminent...Gary O'Connor for 650.000(hard to swallow when he was up training on a free recently before joining Hibs)and Ross McCormack from Leeds for around 1.5 million.This would mean the end for Mr Ma-foney...sorry Shaun but your ship has sailed old bhoy...not even a third of the talent you once were.Also the end for Murphy and Samaras.Got to be better than what we currently have.What do you think Bhoys?

Chrissybhoy, can you not see, yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back for a lot of people. This has been brewing for a long time. For me it's been since Gordon Strachan bought Wilo Flood.

We must invest in quality, not quantity

We need a quality front man with presence and a quality central defender. we also need a left back on loan now Charlie is injured. I have been impressed with Mathews and Cha this season though so not all doom and gloom

There is no doubt that we need new players in and without arguably 4 of our best players we look like a P**** poor team but it's still only one game. I really can't believe that people are getting this carried away, last week people were happy with what was happening and the players we were bringing in and slagging off Rangers and now because of one game attitudes change. With out a doubt between last year and a couple this year we have made some quality signings, maybe it's just me but should we not be getting behind OUR team and not getting on their backs?

Get a grip chrissyboy lennon is not a bad motivator, but look at the facts, every big game he has fallen short on. Ross County, Braga, Utrecht, Cis Final, Inverness end of season. I have no doubt he knows how to get the majority of us on his side, but If it was any other manager they would be gone by now. If we get knocked out of Europe again then time is up, simples.

One defeat is not a disaster but it is clear our team lacks a leader on the park. We are too mentally weak and have a team of "hiders".
At the minute both the OF have inexperienced managers and both are dross and have been for a few years now. Where they are better than us is their team mentality. They have leaders. We havent. Unless we get strong characters in then the league will go to the team that can dig out the win when playing poorly. And that isnt us

We need a quality frontman i would say bianchi or if possible santa cruz we also need a midfielder who has vision and can make the killer pass eremenko maybe cheap but has good technique i would also throw the boy twardzik on at left back rather than wilson the guys left leg is for standing on only

FFS guys get a grip will ya. One defeat does not a title lose. Remember wgs first games and we all know what happened then. Have faith, the board are not stupid they know we need to win the league this year and the players will come. Don't behave like orcs. in lennon we trust . Just listen to the thunder.

Its not one defeat there was a pattern last season we we dropped point off wee clubs that were in poor form themselves, culminating in the Inverness game that cost us the league, no investment since and no change in pattern...thats enough to worry me

As long as lennon persists with samaras and maloney you can forget thunder and the league

Last season was all about rebuilding following Mowbrays shambles and it took a long time for the team to finally gel. We do not have a right to win everygame, Yes it's not been the best of starts but we don't have Hooper, Izzy,Kayal. Im sure a striker will be brought in by the end of the window.

C'mon lets not panic over a couple of games as attendances are up and we are just a couple of players short of romping this league

I was at the game yesterday and we should have won by four goals. Paddy mccourt should have been on earlier. Maloney was very poor second half. We kept hitting balls into the box as if Hooper was on but there was noone there. Kayal was badly missed to break down a solid defensive line. Was NL trying to save some players for Europa match?
