Ed, any idea whether the Henry Onyekuru rumour is legit? It would appear there's definitely some substance to it if the player has brought it up publicly, although that can tend to backfire on players.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know of any bid but if there is it will be a bit of a mess as their is a third party issue - Onyekuru is only part owned by his club KAS along with a sports company in Qatar which is illegal in the UK.}

Cheers. I was reading that the talent agency who own the player also own the club so it's basically a front to showcase their clients. All seems a bit dodgy but he looks really good either way.

I've heard don't no if it's true though that they in no way will they sell to Celtic because they want a megabucks deal

It's very possible the "Celtic bid" is just a tactic to force other team's hands who actually have a genuine interest in him Replicas. He definitely looks a player but there's something a bit off about a player speaking in such detail about bids etc. to the media. I remember a few years back we pulled out of a deal for an Israeli because him and his club were singing to the press before the deal was 100% done.

I know the daily record is no the best for true stories. KJ was talking about and his words were that he thinks Celtic will do a major significant piece of business this window and that KJ seems to think it's been lined up for a while. Do you think that he is full of crap or is there something in it?

Kev hopefully it's us that gets him if he's a player I've not seen anything of him but hate this 3rd party stuff we'll just have to wait and see

theres been rumours in the last couple of weeks about a 5m player coming in possibly a playmaker, but its probably the usual transfer window made up crap.

@Replicas, It may be that the club technically own him and the talent agency only represent him so it might not be as messy as 3rd party ownership. Then again it could be a red-tape nightmare.

Just watched a few clips of him, looks a class act, capable of playing across the front line. Still think we'll see one more player come in before the window closes a few outgoings too.

Do you think we will try to get McCarthy and/ or attempt to sign Patrick Roberts on a permanent deal in this window before the CL qualifiers Ed?
Personally, I would be delighted with that kind of ambition and financial commitment from the board - or are we looking at other areas, like a younger keeper or defender?

{Ed007's Note - It's really between Celtic and Newcastle for McCarthy but there's a very slim chance of him being used as part of a package for Kone from Sunderland whom Everton want - but I'll be surprised if that happens considering Sunderland look certainties for relegation.
Celtic are looking to extend Roberts loan for another 12 months and that can be agreed at any time.}
