Has Joe Ledley just dropped a hint in his latest tweet that he is about to sign a new contract?

"Good win before Christmas, & I can't believe that was my 150th appearance for Celtic! Time flies when you're having fun. "

Do you need the enigma to find the hint?

FAO Seamus' support worker: Tell the poor soul that that isn't a hint of the sort at all. More of a 'I've enjoyed my time' if you ask me. Ledley is such an underrated player. There's nothing more frustrating than not being appreciated as you should by an employer. Pay cut? I'd give them the fingers too Joe. Thanks for your time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's the hint, am I missing something here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Jim! Paycut for a top professional in his prime? Your having a laugh Lawelll.

Where did the pay cut stuff come from? The media lol
For me Ledley has been an consistent player without ever being a stand out left out of CL games quite afew occasions certainly doesn't deserve to be a top earner above players that do more for me, only ma opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO ledley is a class act and its ridiculous that celtic have left it so late to try to sort out his contract.
as for the pay cut stories, your a fool if you believe anything you read in the scottish media.

Agree0 Disagree0

For those of you simply incapable of spotting the hint, "Time files when you're having fun". there it is. Some words have a deeper meaning.

FAO JimTim's support worker: He's a lost cause

I am like seamus. I hope he does sign. And he has made the right noises in the past. But I'm simply incapable of seeing the hint in that tweet. Was he not injured for a few CL games monkey? I'm fairly certain he would be in the team if he wasn't. Goodness knows how much it would cost to replace him. Consistency is a hard thing to come by. He's constantly involved in our best attacking movements. Great work rate. And a right good 'continuation of play' sort of player.

He mite well have been injured on some but defo left out in some

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah and Lennon has said it was a huge mistake in dropping Ledley for the Juve game last year. Was baffling at the time to me and after the performance it seemed even worse.

Ledley is our best Midfielder and our best player in my eyes. Slow start this season due to Injuries etc but coming into a game now. He's far better than Scott Brown, offer more going forward, more of a goal threat, good composure, can tackle without getting booked and works so hard.

He will be hard to replace but I think Stuart Armstrong from Dundee United could be a star and would be as close to Ledley as we can get.

Hey Ed could you please give me your opinion on Finnbogason should us fans not get our hopes up and that Lennon was actually looking at the lad from AZ but just happened to be against heereveen (sorry about spelling) realistically we have no chance of Alfred do we?

{Ed007's Note - CFC know what they need to do to sign Finnbogason and have done for approx. a year. The player has attracted recent interest from Newcastle and Cardiff and there is still a chance that Fulham may also look to him. Like Sunderland, Hannover and Mainz before them, West Ham have turned their attentions elsewhere for the time being.}

Cheers Ed your input always appreciated. I just hope celtic get this lad it would be great for the club but most importantly the fans shows we have intent on trying to move forward and not settle for cheaper options. It's time to invest the euro money back in the team we the fans deserve it.

Today's performance shows that we should have a major clearout. Sammy, Stokes, Pukki, Bangoura and even Balde seeing as the above bunch of crap is considered to be ahead of him. Bring in 2 strikers that would be considered 1st choice.

Midfield - really need someone that can make things happen. We have no creativity at all. Gauld from Utd should be a definite - throw him in there and let him play.

Defence, apart from Ambrose I am happy with what we have, Mulgrew should only be cover for CB or LB, otherwise he can go as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

The man doe's not want to play in Scotland, it's his dream to play in Engerlund, we need to face reality Celtic is not the name it used to be, we are playing in a bad league and can't afford the money it would cost and the wage's to get him.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Tam, he has never said he doesn't want to move to Scotland, only last week he said the opposite when asked about moving abroad:

"England, Germany, Scotland - who knows? I just want to score goals, be it in Holland or somewhere else."

I don't know where this story of him not wanting to play in Scotland comes from but it's simply not true.}

ED He said it was his ambition to play in England, he is keeping his option's open in case a move to England doe's not materialise, like in the summer
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - How many of our ex and even current players have said it is their ambition to play in England? That's totally different from saying he doesn't want to play in Scotland isn't it?
And his move to Scotland didn't materialise in the summer either.
Remember all summer we heard the same BS stories about he would end up at a team in England, we couldn't afford him and he didn't want to play here, it was BS then and it's BS now.
If he doesn't become a CFC player the only people to blame are the board and Lawwell, just as it was in the summer.
Probably 90% of any footballer's ambition is to play in England, it's where the money is.}

Have been looking at this site for awhile now just reg have to say if finnbogason has got all these teams looking at him why no bid from any of what is stopping them

Agree0 Disagree0

Too right Ed. That's the quote I read the other day in the Herald when I posted about him hinting he may move. If he didn't fancy us, why mention Scotland at all? Admittedly, to someone who didn't grow up a tic fan, there are more attractive opportunities. But it depends who else goes for him. Surely even with Scottish football on its deathbed we're a more attractive opportunity than Heerenveen.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He spent two years in Scotland when he was younger Jim and Henrik was his hero at that time. It's nothing he hasn't spoke about before.}

22 Dec 2013 09:57:43
Edd is it not possible Lennon fancied getting more players than spending 6 on 1 player, maybe he was trusting his scout to unearth a player or 2 and he felt that would have been better to bolster the squad. All be it it hasn't worked out

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If that's the case he would be contradicting himself with his 'quality over quantity' statements.}

22 Dec 2013 16:24:11
i checked the guys record. 40 in 47 is pretty impressive so I can't see him coming to scotland when diddy clubs from the epl can offer so much more money.
if heerenveen wanted £5m, I can't see why we didn't pay it when wever wasted £5.5m on pukki and balde.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Dec 2013 21:15:45
Maybe, but he could have Thot these players were quality and signing six was better than 10

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Well if he thinks players like Balde are quality we really need to question the manager's judgement and his ability to take the team forward.}

Think Balde could come good can't judge a players without really seeing them on a regular basis
