hey bhoys and ghirls a fantastic performance from the hoops today the whole team were outstanding and although watt and wanyama stole the show i would like to add that miku looked very good strong sharp when he came on and i think if hooper goes he is the man to fill his boots!
Chalky bhoy!

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I dont see what people see when they talk about miku i think he looks no better than average (has he even made a goalie make a save yet) wheras young watt is developing into a great player the boy looks to have it all , i would much rather see him progress than spend money on miku,,,,deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

River dude, I can't believe ppl like you only look at the goals we get from our strikers, I mean that's the same reason why ppl say hopper is shiate when he dosent score. Miku would be a great addition because of his skill and touch for he is from a better league and will help out a lot. I always see him running down the defence to pressure them when we don't have the ball(like he did against benfica I think it was or in cl where he made the d kick it out of bounce a lot) and what about his cross today to hooper or his link up play?
I think Lennon has brought him in as our big spending signing for it is a good deal to get a quality player like him(4mill be good business) as well I think he has brought him in to see if it is a good match instead of the same old tryout or deadline day transfer. Miku has a great all around game and just needs more time to gel and play, he has #7 and I think he knows what we are about and would be a great addition and would love to play for us, especially if hooper dosent sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

What T F are you talking about? Do you really believe from what you have seen of miku hes the man to fill hoopers boots,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but i think he looks as tho he's really short on confidence watt was really good first half thought lassad was better than miku wanyama and ambrose were awesome. bigD

Agree0 Disagree0

Ppl like me look at the goals ratio our strkers score cos thats their job , i have criticised hooper on here before for his first touch(which has improved) but never his scoring rate , also miku has played the majority of his career in the 3rd tier of spanish football , his rate is 3.6 per game hoopers is 0.6, so as a replacement for hooper no. would you keep playing him cos he played a season in la liga or hold back young watt ,,,,deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Miku has a different style of play compared to Hooper. He looks more skilful and he has that ability of linking up well with his strike partner. Him and Hooper look made for eachothers style of play, and im sure playing along side Hooper he will get plenty of goals, rebounds and assists. He looks a quailty player to me, once he has gelled with the team a bit more we will see the best of him coming out. Quack.

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding Tony Watt, he has put in some good performances but he is still a bit raw for my liking. I hear commentators talking of his pace but I don't see any real burst of pace coming from him, he can get past players in scotland but at a higher level I think he would struggle. Hes still very young and I think he still needs time before he can be pushing other players out of the team. A Good prospect, with a bright future but its not his time just yet. Quack.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quack ,i dont see him as more than average, but thats me , the posts are saying he should replace hooper if hooper leaves also if prices are correct his is 4-5 million do you think he is in that bracket i honestly dont but we have him for the season so he might turn out to be better than i thought, but i still think its cos he played a season in la liga that people think he is better than he actually is. also re watt and beating spl defs with pace i dont see miku doing that , i also thought lassad linked up better with other players round him , however the good thing is we have options up front now (and with stokes still to come back) and if miku plays there wont be as much pressure on him as previous non scoring strikers , you know he actually reminds me of cascarino,,,,,deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

River dude, I never said because he is from a better league he is the guy we need, the point I was making was he has played in a better league and seeing his All around play that he would be a great deal for us. I'm sure in time you will be on here saying keep him, I didn't say he is better but would be a great addition if hooper left even if he dosent miku would be still a good buy.
I don't know how tony watt comes up as to say he will never play because of miku? Watt is a great prospect like Forrest and he needs more time but I would think Celtic and more so Lennon wants the kid long term,as do I.
We where talking about miku and I say look at his all round game and you will see how good he is with his touch and all, he needs more time cause he has only came off the bench really. With the view of the club miku could be seen as a veteran(as he has played in a better league and his skill) to the young players that we are buying, including watt.
But really want hooper long term with miku a better option then stokes I think, even thought they had a good link up but stokes complains to much and stops playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dude, dude,, i honestly have yet to see this great skill and the la liga gets brought up when people talk about him,, maybe over the course of the season i will see it, i am not one for judging players over a few games but am responding to people who want to spend 4-5 mill on the back of a handfull of average goalless games ,,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Look guys i see the potential in this guy he has all the attributes to be a very good player for us ... i in no way said i wish hooper to go and i agree watt is a class act in the making but miku has come in had to get up to speed with scottish football and gel with his teammates, he can play and i think given a real run in the team he would bag a lot of goals for the hoops! just an opinion !

During the last two transfer windows, we have been looking for a target man, a big powerful striker that's good on the ball, good in the air and knows where the goal is. Now, with a few midfield possibilities, and ignoring rumours of him leaving, I for one would like to see big vic tried at centre forward? If it doesn't work then fine but he is young enough to learn?!

Believable4 Unbelievable20

Tony Watt mate,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? hes gonna be world class in the middle and at the back and can score from there

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but this is a daft suggestion. Should we play Stokes at right back and Commons at left back because that is the foot they kick with?

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually commons was a left wing back for most of his career,.,.kbarry

Evening all, looking for some info. TV guide says Man Utd game is on ITV in Tue & we are on SS2.

Will we get Celtic on STV north of the border?

Thanks

Jamesey Bhoy

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Doubt it . We're second class citizens up here . You would think any British team playing Barca would be given priority . Only if you play in the EPL . Shame on STV.......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure it's the case that ITV have the early kick off games. That's why the Spartak Moscow game was on ITV.. Mrs E

Agree1 Disagree1

In fact just ignore me lol.

I'm sure someone in my work told me this was the reason but just seen the Man Utd KO is 7.45pm. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree1

In the past STV have shown Scottish clubs in CL group stages, but for some reason we are being totally ignored - even though our results in the campaign have been great.
Don't know the reason for the 'ding-y' but shame on an alleged Scottish channel for ignoring our team. Then again STV could mean Sevco Television?

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree1

Jamesey, STV CANNOT afford to give us the games. They give us the network coverage when it is on, I.E. Man U, City, Arsenal however STV WILL NOT PAY FOR SCOTTISH PEOPLE TO WATCH THE SCOTTISH CHAMPIONS!

Agree0 Disagree1

Or maybe the fact sky hold more power every season and itv/stv only get to pick 1 game a week and the english will take priority as therre is more english watchig tv than scots :) no need for the anti celtic agenda paranoia lads...

Just to put all the rumours to bed, you can get tickets with a UK passport for the Barca game. Just been to collect mine and had no problems at all

Absolutely superb and just what we were needing after the International break and going to Barcalona.

I'm actually getting worried about not the players being poached but our Manager. This is a team he has built with literally no management experience & he has got to be one of the best gambles Celtic have ever taken.

Away from the hate of the the old firm, he has thrived and matured this season. We had a stonewall penalty claim in the defeat to St Johnstone, this time last season he would have had plenty to say about that but instead took it on the chin and moved on..

There's only one NEIL LENNON :-)

Mrs E

Believable16 Unbelievable7

Early days but he could eclipse O'Neil and Strachan by delivering 5 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree fully Mrs E our own Pepe Gardiola ( if that's how you spell it ) lol

Bigbr

Agree0 Disagree0

It would have to take a huge job to tempt Lenny away from his (and mine!) beloved Celtic.

JJ Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

JJ Bhoy, no it wouldn't. Let's be honest here. EVERYONE looks after themselves....if NL gets offered 50k per wk tomorrow by Wolves he'll be off. Good luck to him. I love Neil Lennon! And nae offence...just real world. x.

Victor Wanyama is the best central midfielder we've had since Stilian Petrov. The boy is a phenomenal talent. I will be very surprised if he is still with us after the January transfer window. The sky is the limit for Wanyama. 9-10m with sell on options. Ian L

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Good point. Wouldn't disagree with that. Stan was with us a good few years, doubt Wanyama will see out his contract. He (Wanyama) has everything to be a top class midfielder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree livi but up the price for him m8 sick o clubs getting great buys from us

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the most we will get would be 10m seems to be the cut off point for players in the SPL. The fact he's added goals to his game will make him hot property. Mark my words he won't be going to Swansea or QPR. Man utd, Man City, Chelsea. That's how good he is. My money is on man utd. They r crying out for a player like Wanyama.

Agree0 Disagree0

When will fans get back to wanting to win things and be successful rather than flogging off every player who has a good game to the highest bidder its bad enough with the board having £ sign eyes without the fans starting it aswell

Agree1 Disagree0

If you believe the crap you've just posted you ain't living in the real world. We are talking about a young man who can be a world class midfielder of course he will move on to a bigger club, more competitive league....incase you didn't know that's how it works. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

Of coarse he will leave at some point but my point is its the money grabbing boards job to sell players not clowns like you ... your job is to support the team not put price tags on them

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't appear to be up to speed with what's going on here, Wanyama is putting himself in the shop window with his performances. I'm not really involved in the buying & selling at Celtic football club. It's unlikely Sir Alex & co will be reading my posts on here and think 'this guy is spot on about Wanyama let's buy him cos Ian says so'. Ya CLOWN. How thick are you mate? Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

If your not involved then why put a 9-10 million with sell on clauses then ?? look ill tell you how it works ... boards want as much profit as possible fans want as much success as possible the two battle it out and hopefully find a middle ground when boards and fans start flogging players your on a one way street with no corners we already have to except we dont have money to bring in quality players so the least we could do is put some pressure on the board to keep the ones we got this board wont need asked twice if a decent offer comes in without clowns like you encouraging them

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys right. The reality is we will probably get about 10m for Wanyama. Great bit of business if you ask me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Am just fed up with every time a player strings two decent games together some fans want to stick a price tag on his head with (add ons) and flog him off in January so far this week we sold hooper forster and now wanyama all with (ADD ONS) which seems to be the new trendy word supporters should get back to supporting the team and leave the politics to the manager and board or go play championship manager do you never think the reason hes on form might be because hes happy at the club and its showing throu in his game ?? stop believing the rubbish in the papers that every good player cant get out the door quick enough we are celtic one of the biggest clubs in europe and theirs a lot of players happy to play for us so stop the price tags with add ons get the board to get these guys on longer contracts and they will get their 10 million through the champions league

Agree0 Disagree0

Gone are the days where players stay at one club their whole career. Whether we like it or not Wanyama is offski....why because he's to good for Scottish football. He has every right to go and test himself week in week out in one of the top leagues. Neil Lennon continues to say all my players have a valuation if that is met.....see you later 10m add ons. John Park find me a new Wanyama for 2m.....that's just the way it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think lennon says take ten million and go find one for 2 million your living in cuckoo land no manager in the world wants to sell his best players lawwell might say it and lennon might have to except it but in no way would lennon want it

The FTT have made their decision and advised MIH, D & P and HMRC.

K-Dot.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

You can gaurantee Oldco have lost, otherwise Oldco would have gleefully released the decision to the media.

Or maybe all those involved have an injunction to prevent them going to the media?
